#AceWorldNews says Nigeria has shut five government colleges in the restive north-east in the wake of a deadly series of attacks targeting schools, AFP said.
The ministry of education said the affected schools were “located within the high security risk areas of the north-east geo-political zone.”
School pupils in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states, which are worst hit by the Boko Haram insurgency, would be absorbed in other government colleges.
Suspected Boko Haram gunmen stormed the Federal Government College in Buni Yadi, Yobe state last week.
They shot and hacked to death 43 students.
