The NSA (National Security Agency) isn’t good enough to be that bad.  You try to hire 10,000 +/- highly trained cyber trackers.  About as easy as hiring 10,000 professional airport security folks.  So don’t wring your hands over how much they know about you.  It could be worse.  They could know what they’re doing.  They just need a better name, a better charter for existence, a better pitch.  We came up with the solution to all the complaining.  When it is done, they’ll be your BFF (Best Friend Forever).

Of course if you want to share this with others, GREAT!!!

NSA Just Needs a Better Name, New Service Offerings

“Okay, now your servers are down because of a power surge, a grid malfunction, or maybe even a bomb. Now, if the intruder tries to reboot your servers or access the data, he’ll always hit this screen.” – Max Peterson, “The Echelon Conspiracy,” Dark Castle Entertainment, 2009

The National Security Agency (NSA) isn’t doing much more than any red-blooded, we’re-in-this for-the-money cloud service or social media organization is doing.

They’re scrounging through all the information that just happens to pass their way to find something of interest, something useful.

Okay, they’re a little different because they don’t sell the information to the highest bidder. They store the stuff for later when they can figure out what to do with it.

Yes, they do have a broader area to search; but then, they aren’t in it just for the money.

For that matter, they aren’t doing much more than every government in every country is doing.

In London, it’s estimated that Brits are captured on photos and video 300 times a day by cameras mounted throughout the city. Their intelligence service even got so creative as to monitor dumpsters, but that came to an end.

It wasn’t because citizens promised to do a better job of recycling; someone just determined it was a really dumb idea.

Mossad, MI5, Italy’s P2, India’s IB, Russia’s RAW, Japan’s PSIA, China’s MSS and their brethren around the globe constantly monitor and analyze communications, internal and external.

Oh heck face it all of the governmental “legal” agencies are there to catch the bad guys/gals and keep you on the straight-and-narrow.

You, not them!

They usually follow Raymond Burke’s advice, “Don’t get caught.”

Weather Plus – Thousands of satellites circle the globe constantly to check the weather and other things like the volumes of communications that are being constantly sent by people through service providers and sites. They help minimize malware infection and other problems. The automated systems and their managers just hate it when you encrypt the files/communications.

If you think the U.S.’s anti-terrorism laws give agencies like the NSA too much freedom to search online files … think again.

In today’s environment, all of these protection organizations occasionally get carried away with their work.

It isn’t hard for them to repeat what Max Peterson said, “Relax, I’m a professional.”

Just remember, they went from zero to 10,000ish big data researchers/analysts in 3-6 months much like the TSA (Transportation Security Agency) went from zero to 10,000ish highly trained travel protection agents in 30-90 days.

On the other hand, it isn’t as though people make it very difficult for them.

iNet Minute – People love how online services enable them to communicate with folks around the world and, more importantly, talk about themselves on a growing number of social media sites.  The web has become such a popular means of expression that it has become a fire hose of documents, data, information.

True, I’m really not that into your hourly Facebook posts/Likes/dislikes, daily Linked professional conquests, minute-by-minute Tweets or any of the other free-to-express-yourself social media activities that are available to all of us.

Police agencies have found some folks postings very interesting.

Divorce lawyers love it when the guy (or gal) brags about his/her “outside activity.”

In other words, some folks just can’t express themselves enough!

That’s what got agent Grant fired when he posted on his boss’ Facebook page, “I’m impressed. I always thought you were a little stupid.”

Share, Share Alike – Pre-teens, teens and Gen Yers who grew up on the iNet/web simply feel that sharing most or all of their information is just practical and logical. The open communications has spread to almost every generation and nationality.

It’s interesting that a number of social media research reports have found that a large number of people felt that what they posted on social media sites or put up in the soft, puffy cloud was not admissible in court and could not be used against them.

It can … it is!

Actually, the NSA and security folks don’t grab all of that stuff out of the clouds.

No, they go to where all that information rests – the data centers where it’s stored.

Knock on the door and …

Storage in the Cloud – While people always refer to storing their stuff in the cloud, they need to also understand that the cloud storage facility is a real building. These silos of documents, information, images/photos are where social media services and other organizations store and mine all the best possible data.

All those data centers poke into the cloud but are firmly planted on the ground around the globe.

They won’t tell you exactly where the cloud storage facility is located, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to find them.

Just look for places where there is ample, cheap power and favorable taxes and BAM!

The really big data centers need huge amounts of power to run the servers/storage and keep them cool.

All of the shared information creates a terrific strain on the computers, SSDs and hard drives to store and share your stuff.

None of that was something the NSA had expected or knew how to deal with.

Overblown –  Like a tidal wave of dust sweeping across the plains, the NSA receives more information, more content, more stuff than any person, any machine could sift through and scrutinize. The best thing they can do is stream it to hard drives and store them deep in a mountain until they have a free moment. Until then, they glance at less than .00004 percent of the world’s iNet traffic.

Right now, they store the stuff on HDs and ship them to a mountain cave until they can figure out what to do with the stuff they might use … some day.

So what they really need is a better name, a better mission statement.

The new name? National Storage Agency (won’t have to change the initials on their coffee cups).

Then pitch themselves as the country’s corporate and personal storage service and add a service that will have people standing in line around the block  – free, automatic backup of your devices/drives.

Most folks don’t backup their drives until it’s too late. Their new free service will automate/handle the job for you.

They could say they are only following Max Peterson’s guidance, “Oh yes, just in case.”

Then, they can contract with the social media and online storage companies to hold all the stuff for you … and them.

The NSA is no longer an electronic spying operation. And the cloud companies that do the best job of storing, finding, retrieving information about you will give them huge government contracts.

Everyone wins … problem solved!

All they have to do is remember what Max Peterson told them, “This is your BIOS-level password. Without it, nothing works in this room.”

Oh heck, put it on a Post-It on your monitor like everyone else!

Turkey Finds Sarin Gas In Homes Of Suspected Syrian Islamists

The article courtesy of RT raises questions about who really is responsible for the Sarin Gas attacks in Syria, the mere fact that the many governments are admitting there was an attack, is not in question! The fact that chemical weapons were used, is also as far as the facts go, also not in question! The other evidence that is doing the rounds, relates to who supplied these weapons in the first place, this is surely and must be in question!

The fact that the United Nations Weapon Inspectorate visited and took samples is not in question, even though the results will only yield the fact, that there was chemical weapons used, not who is responsible! This article leads us to an unconfirmed yet awful conclusion that the use of a deadly nerve gas called Sarin was used, as it has been found in the hands of suspected Syrian Islamist‘s it does not however tells us who planted them, or how they got there in the first place!

Since l started adding daily reports from RT under the post #Syria http://acenewsservices.com/2013/09/03/syria-crisis-live-as-it-happens-when-it-happens-peace/ the accusations come thick and fast, with various leaders stepping up to the plate, claiming  they can find a solution, but always more and more people are dying in ever-increasing numbers, and no leader is solving that with how!

So read this article and as l always say judge for yourself!  Not the guilty or innocent, not even who is right or wrong!

My opinion or 10 cents worth is that war never ever solved anything, it just prolongs suffering of the innocents, and always lets the guilty go free. http://rt.com/news/sarin-gas-turkey-al-nusra-021/

Does Providing Something For Nothing Really Exist!

For many a year l have believed that there is no such thing as a “Free Lunch”, so when someones offers me something for nothing! My first thought is they will be giving me nothing for something! The something is the “Real Con” as l know l will not see the “True Agenda” hidden behind the words, great deal or too good to be true! This leads me to my second thought, if it is to good to be true its a lie! So this is the time to look deeper at what is really on offer, and is it really free of any strings, l was also told read the small print! The problem nowadays is the small print is so small it is not that easy to see, or is totally unclear what it means! So now it is time to question the whole deal, so maybe l should have called this post” When Is Free Really Free” answer when it has no hidden agenda!

Condemned to the great digital creator on the earth, must be Microsoft, Google, Yahoo or the like! But as Facebook and others are beginning to find out ,as many wills have stated before, who owns what, when you are dead!

So who really owns your virtual-words?

Well do you really know?

A Reason For Telling People The Truth

Very rarely do you manage to come across people that do something for nothing, because they believe in why they do it! In the case of Edward Snowden in this video he explains his reason’s for disclosing what the US Government has claimed are state secrets! He himself has lost everything to provide us the people with the truth, so as so many are saying he is a real American hero in the true sense of the word!

Who Were The Real Fools On April Fools Day!

On this day we call April Fools Day, the UK Goverment fooled the people of Britain, by giving them just what they wanted! Namely their own way in the fact they believed the rhetoric they were told, and our health services were changed forever. Not just that they gave total control to the. “Bank of England” (BOE), allowing them to create the next financial crisis. Finally having convinced us all our benefits system is costing too much, especially the people who have too much, over the working people. They destroyed the benefits system in one swipe of the pen! Not bad on a day we call ” April Fools Day” the real question. Who were the real fools on that day? l will leave you with this question, but harken to these words” Make your decision based on what you want, and not what you need. Then the day will come when you will say”Why am l suffering, l never did anything for this to happen to me,” the answer is your forgot other people in favour of your own selfish wants!

COLD WEATHER PLAN LAUNCHED BY MET OFFICE

English: Cold weather front
English: Cold weather front (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Dear Readers and Followers,

Better to be safe than sorry, so thought this would be useful information for you and your loved ones. So can you share and care to as many people as possible so they can be safe this Winter?

Thanks Ian

The Met Office, Department of Health, and Health Protection Agency have launched the  Cold Weather plan for England 2012 which aims to prepare for, alert people to and prevent the major avoidable effects on health during periods of severe cold in England.

The Cold Weather Plan, which has run successfully since 2011, has been developed by the Department of HealthMet Office and Health Protection Agency, and supported by AgeUK. The purpose of the Cold Weather Plan is to help raise awareness of the dangers of cold weather on health with both the public and professionals alike. It spells out what preparations both individuals and organisations could make to reduce health risks and includes specific measures to protect at-risk groups.

The Cold Weather Plan will be supported again this year by the Met Office Cold Weather Alert Service, which notifies frontline staff across the health, social care, Community and Voluntary sectors, and AgeUK, as well as the general public across England, when cold weather could impact on people’s’ health.

Although winter weather and snow can be fun, they are also associated with an increase in illnesses and injuries. Severe cold weather can be particularly dangerous for vulnerable groups such as older people and those with serious illnesses.

Met Office figures show that the winter of 2010/11 saw the coldest December in 100 years. Some areas saw temperatures fall as low as -10 and -20 °C overnight. Winter 2011/12 was milder but there were several cold snaps, notably at the start of February 2012.

The Met Office Cold Weather Alert Service runs from 1 November 2012 to 31 March 2013 and has five alert levels that depend on the severity of conditions. Together, the plan and alerts aim to prepare, alert and prevent the effects of winter weather on people’s health by helping keep people well.

Further details of how to prepare and reduce the effects of extreme weather conditions on your health can be found on THEIR website LINK BELOW!

Cold Weather Plan Launched Today just click link and a new page will open and take you to the sight information.

Link to information above: You can sign up as l have done for email alerts to your area of the UK at MET OFFICE ALERTS

Be safe and sound this winter.

Can We Trust Facebook With Our Personal Details

Image representing Datalogix as depicted in Cr...

Facebook on Tuesday made a pointed pitch to Madison Avenue: We know how to get your messages to real people, nearly one billion of them, because we know exactly who they are and whom they trust.

Somini Sengupta of The New York Times, writes that Sheryl Sandberg, the company’s chief operating officersought to assure the industry that Facebook was single-mindedly focused on proving the promise of advertising on its platform.

Facebook’s bread and butter is advertising, and it needs to prove to Madison Avenue that money spent on Facebook will yield measurable results. Facebook, Ms. Sandberg said at a conference, can transform how marketers reach their audience because Facebook knows exactly who is in that audience.

These days, Facebook is pushing stronger than ever at targeted advertising. It is using not only the data it has from its roughly 955 million users worldwide, it is matching that with the trail of data consumers leave as they shop online and offline – and using it to analyze what kinds of advertisements work best on Facebook.

It is a gamble. Facebook also must persuade users to trust the social network with their personal information, writes Ms. Sengupta. Facebook’s new forays reveal the rich trail of data that consumers can leave, often unwittingly, every time they buy groceries with a loyalty card or when they longingly eye a pair of shoes online. All of that data can trickle back to Facebook: With nearly a billion users, the company can find those consumers when they log on to Facebook and direct tailored ads to them.

In an experiment that stirred some controversy, Facebook linked arms with Datalogix, a data-mining company, to glean what individual shoppers buy at offline stores. Datalogix says it gets this information from loyalty card data and other sources.

Facebook can find those shoppers on its own platform if they have a Facebook account. It can then serve them advertisements based on their purchase history. Facebook calls the results promising: Shoppers who are shown advertisements on their Facebook page are spending more at the cash register.

Facebook says it is not sharing its user data with third parties. It also says it makes personal information anonymous by hashing the data, though security researchers have questioned the effectiveness of such tactics.

My Debt Reduction Analysis Plan

Many times l would end up going to court for my clients in the past and finding out, sometimes too late they had paid other less important debts. My usual way to handle this was to approach finance companies and make an arrangement with their creditors! This would enable them to reduce their overall costs and reduce payments, enabling the courts to agree to give them more time to pay!

Over the past few years and having got people out of debt for over 30 years, l have now using my life-time consumer credit licence have put in place a way to roll-up all their debts and reduce their costs under my ” Debt Reduction Analysis Plan ” and providing clients tell me the truth l can offer this service and get all their lenders to come to some amicable arrangement. But l caution anyone using this arrangement to make sure that once they have agreed the amount to pay, do not miss any payments! If they do then all will revert back to previous amount of credit repayments!

Also l do not get people out of debt by borrowing more money like many organisations, as this just adds more debt and leaves clients in a worst place. Anyone need professional help and guidance please visit my website and leave your details, l will try to help!

Lynda’s Storey – Saving The Sea Life

This was a story sent to me by Lyndia Storey and she ask everyone reading it to share and sign-up on her link.

Friends of the Sea:

My deepest appreciation goes to each of you 238,525 who have signed this petition to date to stop the deliberate killing and maiming of our sea life. The petition will be delivered next week on Tuesday to be answered and included in the Environmental Impact Statement that must be filed and approved to allow this to continue. I am just one person who has personal experience with the cetacean community and know how truly wrong it is to invade our oceans with harmful sound and other forms of pollution. We can stop this; your outpouring of e-mails and letters tells me it is time for this change. Respecting the oceans is a way of affirming our own humanity and our willingness to live in harmony with the natural world. We only have a few days to make our voices heard. Would you be willing to post this once again and ask your friends who have not signed to sign? Your small action now can make a big difference, it as a way of leveraging your voice. I would like to arrive at the Navy offices with 500,000 names of people who are asking for this to change.

Whatever you do in your lives to make a difference in this world, do it with “GREAT PASSION”.  There are so many areas in our world that need healing and all of us have a responsibility to speak out and help each other in that process. Thanks to Signon.org, we can easily make our voices heard. It’s not over till it’s over and we still have a few days left. I urge you to take action if it is in your heart to do! Thank you a million times over.

Lyndia Storey
