#AceWorldNews reports that a “Yemeni Intelligence Colonel Has Died in Bomb Blast, near Countries `Oil Ministry’ an `Security Official told the AFP“
A Yemeni intelligence colonel was killed when a bomb exploded near the country’s oil ministry, security officials and witnesses said.
The explosive device was reportedly planted under the driver’s seat in the vehicle of Colonel Mohammad Fadhel Hussein, a security official told AFP.
At least three others were wounded in the attack.
The central government in Yemen has struggled to establish security since long-serving President Ali Abdullah Saleh was forced to step down in 2011.
Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the Arab world, is closely watched by Western and Gulf security experts due to its proximity to Saudi Arabia.
