Scotland has recorded the hottest UK temperature of the year, with Perthshire soaring to 26.5C on Wednesday.
The record-equalling high was set at Strathallan, near the village of Forgandenny. STV (Scottish Television) weather presenter Sean Batty, who said the warm temperatures of the past few days have made parts of Scotland just as hot as many Mediterranean holiday destinations, warned Scots to take care. “The UV levels are at their highest point now with just a few days to go till the summer solstice,” he said. “Towards the end of the week the temperatures will come down to mid teen values for most of the country and there will also be a higher risk of some showery rain.” The temperature set at Strathallan equals that recorded in Writtle in Essex on Monday. My city hot 27 yesterday and it was BAKING outside. Here in Scotland we make the most of this weather, it could last a day, a week, an hour 😀 And of course nobody can deny eye candy right?
