BRADFORD: ‘ POLICE DISCOVER BODIES OF FOUR PEOPLE AND A MURDER INVESTIGATION IS LAUNCHED ‘
#AceWorldNews – BRADFORD – October 28 – A murder investigation is under way after four members of the same family were found dead at their home in Bradford, police said on Tuesday.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police discovered the bodies of a couple and their two teenage girls at a property in the Clayton area of the city late Monday.
A neighbour had alerted police, concerned at not having seen the family for a while. The force said the bodies may have been in the property “for some time”.
Police named the deceased as 49-year-old Jitendra Lad, his wife Daksha, 44, and their two teenage daughters, Trisha, 19, and Nisha, 17.
West Yorkshire Police said a murder probe had been launched but detectives were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
Detective Superintendent Simon Atkinson said: “This is clearly a significant incident and our investigation will be thorough as we piece together the events that have led to the deaths of a local family.
“The investigation is at an early stage, and while I do not want to speculate around the circumstances leading to the deaths, I am happy to confirm that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
Post mortems will be carried out to establish the precise cause of the deaths.
