#AceNewsServices – FERGUSON – Nov.26 – A producer from RT’s Ruptly video agency was arrested by police in Ferguson after a second night of disturbances in the St. Louis suburb. Denise Reese, a German citizen, was subsequently released after being held for a few hours.
She was taken to the City of Ferguson Police Municipal Court building, having been detained for unlawful assembly. Ruptly reportedly recorded the moment that Reece was marched towards the police building. She is believed to be the second person being escorted, wearing a gas mask.
One of her colleagues, Andres Benedicto, spoke to RT and said that “protesters were gathering around the police department. The police gave the protesters a couple of warnings saying they were forming an unlawful assembly. They were asked about five or six times to leave the area.”
However, after being held for some hours, she was eventually released without charge.

Reese, is based in Berlin and only arrived in Ferguson on Monday. She has the correct journalistic credentials to work as a journalist in the US. Ruptly says she is one of their most experienced producers and had previously worked covering the Maidan protests in Kiev.
our producer arrested 4 “taking part in an unlawful assembly”- how can she cover protests if she’s not there? #freedenisereeseruptly
