LEBANON: ‘ WOMAN DETAINED BY ARMY WAS NOT AL-BAGHDADI’S WIFE’
AceWorldNews – LATEST – Dec.03 – An Iraqi official said Wednesday that the woman detained earlier this week by Lebanon’s army was not the wife of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, but instead the sister of a man convicted of bombings in southern Iraq.
“The one detained by Lebanese authorities was Saja Abdul Hamid al-Dulaimi, sister of Omar Abdul Hamid al-Dulaimi who is detained by authorities and sentenced to death for his participation in … explosions,” ministry spokesman Brigadier General Saad Maan told Reuters.
Lebanese security officials said on Tuesday that they had detained the unidentified woman who had been traveling without a passport.
The officials also said that they had detained al-Baghdadi’s son.
