WASHINGTON: ‘ HOUSE APPROVES BILL AUTHORISING KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE SENDING IT TO OBAMA TO VETO ‘

#AceWorldNews – Update:WASHINGTON:Feb.12: The House approved a bill Wednesday authorizing construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, setting up a showdown with President Obama, who has promised to veto the bill.

The bill essentially shuts down administration review of the pipeline that has been repeatedly delayed. The Senate has already approved the bill, but not with a big enough margin to override a veto.

The White House has repeatedly said President Obama will veto the legislation, and Republicans do not appear to have the two-thirds majority in either chamber to override him.

The only mystery left is when and how Obama will announce the veto.
