#AceNewsReport – Post Update: YEMEN:June.20: At least two people were killed and six others injured as a car bomb went off near the Qiba Mahdi mosque in the rebel-controlled capital, Sanaa, on Saturday, witnesses told Reuters.
The mosque is used by the Houthi rebels. On Wednesday, a series of bombings killed or injured at least 50 people near mosques in the capital as well as at the Houthis’ headquarters. The Islamic State militant group claimed responsibility for that.
The Houthis took control of Sanaa in September and have seized other parts of the country since then. The capital is under constant air strikes by the Saudi-led coalition, targeting the rebels.
