(BIRMINGHAM, U.K.) WM Police Report: Police in Birmingham have charged three teenagers over a series of attempted knife point robberies in the city’s Jewellery Quarter. It’s alleged the male youths – aged 15, 16 and 17 and who can’t legally be named – struck five times in the space of 20 minutes on the evening of 1 Aug.2019: #AceNewsDesk reports

#AceNewsReport – Aug.12: On all five occasions – between 9.40pm and 10pm – they are accused of accosting people as they walked through St Paul’s Square and threatening them with a knife to hand over cash and phones: All of the alleged victims – including a husband and wife – managed to escape unhurt.

The two older suspects are also accused of attacking a man on the night of 26 July in Caroline Street as he walked home from work: The victim was punched unconscious and had his iPhone stolen:

The 15 and 17-year-old – both from Bordesley Green – and the 16-year-old from Alum Rock were charged with the robberies and remanded by West Midlands Police:

They appeared at Birmingham Youth Court on Thursday (8 August) where they were granted conditional bail.
