The offence took place on 21 December 2018 when Fakoya, a member of the Priory Court gang, drove a stolen car into the territory of the Mali Boys gang in Leyton High Road: Fakoyaand two other men were armed with a loaded firearm, a long knife and ammonia and set out on a chase of four members of the Mali Boys gang…………………The four boys ran into an off-licence to hide and locked themselves into a backroom, eluding Fakoya who gave up his chase………………..In an attempt to escape the police, Fakoya returned to his car but took a corner too quickly and crashed into Moonlight Stores, narrowly missing pedestrians: He ran from the scene, leaving blood on the airbag identifying him as the uninsured driver of the stolen vehicle: A loaded handgun was found in the footwell of the driver’s seat…..Fakoya was also convicted of conspiracy to supply cocaine after scales, between 60-80 dealer wraps containing cocaine, and other drug paraphernalia were found belonging to him after prison phone calls revealed he was running a drugs line from inside.

Paul Jenkins is a Senior Crown Prosecutor on the CPS London North East Crown Court team said: “The many offences for which Fakoya was found guilty of illustrate the true extent of his involvement in the criminal underworld, despite his young age…………….”Fakoya’s account of the events that night were a web of lies…………”The quick actions of witnesses and the CCTV, along with DNA evidence and the drug paraphernalia, made clear his role in the crimes…………“Recordings taken from prison were also used as pivotal evidence, demonstrating not only the extent of his drug network, but also his important position within the gang as an ‘enhanced younger’…………….“Fakoya is a member of a dangerous criminal gang and set out on that evening to cause someone some really serious harm………………..”His removal from London’s streets will make the capital a safer place.”
