“ A 37-year-old man from Sellicks Hill, who was driving an inflatable dinghy, and a 40-year-old man from Murray Bridge, who was a passenger in an aluminium dinghy, both died at the scene: A 42-year-old Yankalilla woman and a 36-year-old Port Noarlunga South man were taken to Adelaide’s Flinders Medical Centre with serious injuries.Both are now in a stable condition “
Investigators worked for several hours at the scene yesterday to gather evidence and retrieve the boats involved: The reed-lined Finnis River flows into the Murray near its mouth at Goolwa, on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Police have asked anyone who saw the crash to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online: crimestopperssa.com.au/ In particular, they would like to hear from two witnesses who were fishing at the location and assisted paramedics: Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
