(LAREDO, Tx.) CBP REPORT: Officers arrest a man on Wednesday trying to enter the U.S in a commercial vehicle who they established via their database that he had an outstanding warrant against him for sexual assault-continuous sexual abuse of a young child #AceNewsDesk reports

#AceNewsReport – Jan.24: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Laredo Port of Entry detained a man traveling in a commercial bus who attempted to make entry into the United States: CBP databases revealed the man had an outstanding state warrant for sexual assault-continuous sexual abuse of a young child: “Our CBP officers are committed to the CBP mission and one of their responsibilities is to identify fugitives at our ports of entry and returning them to face justice for the crimes they have committed,” said Port Director Albert Flores, Laredo Port of Entry. “When we encounter persons wanted by other law enforcement agencies, we verify the warrant and then carry out the appropriate law enforcement action.”CBP officers escort a wanted person at a U.S. port of entryCBP officers escort a wanted person at a U.S.

The fugitive apprehension occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge: A CBP officer at primary inspection referred Arturo Gonzales Lopez, a 66-year-old Mexican citizen, for a secondary examination: After being escorted to secondary, subsequent biometric verification through law enforcement databases confirmed that the man had an outstanding felony state warrant for sexual assault-continuous sexual abuse of a young child out of Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

“ CBP officers confirmed the identity of the man, verified the warrant, and transported the fugitive to Webb County Jail in Laredo, Texas to await criminal proceedings “
