‘CBP Officers Arrest Three Men Sought for Crimes Against Children they ran a routine systems check and received confirmation that the man had an active warrant for Sexual Assault Charges against a Child out of Montrose, Colorado’
The second arrest occurred on February 9, at 8:28 a.m. when a male U.S. citizen arrived from Mexico at the Ysleta Port of Entry: During routine systems checks, the CBP Officer discovered that the subject was a match to a warrant for Sex Offense/intercourse with a minor. The warrant was issued by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office in Eureka, California:
A few hours later, at the Ysleta Port of Entry, a male Mexican citizen presented himself for inspection: CBP Officers received a system notification that the subject was a match to a warrant with full extradition. The warrant was issued by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the initial conviction was for cruelty towards a child:
“ CBP’s mission is to protect our country and communities, at and beyond our borders. Our interagency communication and partnership with federal, state, and local agencies, assisted in bringing these men to face justice,” said CBP Director, Field Operations Hector A. Mancha. “Our agency supports many law enforcement entities by apprehending wanted fugitives.”
All subjects were arrested by CBP Officers and turned over to local authorities pending extradition.
