AceWorldNews – ASTANA – May 04 – After many years of negotiating and many hurdles this year Kazakhstan hopes to gain the status of a full-fledged member state of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) already this year, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said, opening a meeting of the Asian Bank Board of Governors here on Sunday.
“Kazakhstan’s entry talks in the WTO are about to be finalised. We hope to gain the status of a full-fledged WTO member state already this year,” Nazarbayev noted.
As matters have been in a on off situation for many a year and thoughts of 2012 were still in mind, this may or may not still take place, even though the last negotiating stage has been passed.
