#AceNewsServices – MARSEILLES – June 01 – Mehdi Nemmouche, 29, was arrested by police in Marseilles, in the South of France, investigation sources told AFP.
The suspect was carrying an AK-47 gun and a pistol of the same type used in the May- 24 shooting near the Jewish Museum in Brussels which left four people dead, including two Israelis, and one person from France and another from Belgium.
The Belgian authorities believe it may have been “an anti-Semitic terrorist act.” Nemmouche is suspected to have ties to radicals in Syria.
(CNN) – Images from the museum in Brussels showed the gunman behind Saturday’s deadly attack approaching the building, opening fire, and walking away.
He used an AK-47 assault rifle to carry out the shooting, police have said.

The shooter left on foot after the attack and headed toward a different part of down-town Brussels before he disappeared, according to police.
Terrorism has not been ruled out, Van Wymersch said Monday.
