SOMALIA: ‘ FOUR KILLED BY SUICIDE BOMBER RAMMING CAR INTO UN CONVOY ‘

#AceWorldNews – SOMALIA – Dec.03  – At least four people were killed in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on Wednesday when a suicide bomber rammed a car packed with explosives into a UN convoy, AFP reported.

The convoy of armoured vehicles was ferrying staff between Mogadishu’s airport and a protected UN base in the city when it was hit close to the airport gate.

No group has immediately claimed the attack.

Both the airport and the UN mission have been frequently targeted in the past by Somalia’s Al-Qaeda-affiliated Al-Shabaab rebels.

‘ MILITARY PERSONNEL REPORTED TO HAVE SHOT AT OSCE CONVOY NEAR MARIINKA ‘

#AceWorldNews – UKRAINE – Nov.20 – Military personnel have reportedly shot in the direction of a convoy of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) near government-controlled Mariinka, 15km west of Donetsk, eastern Ukraine AFP reported.  

On Wednesday, the convoy of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) composed of two vehicles was travelling east from Kurakhovo towards the city of Donetsk.

The mission said it observed tactical marks, but near the area of Mariinka, about 80 meters ahead of the convoy, a soldier in cargo truck stood up and fired two shots in the direction of the convoy.

The bullets struck about 2 meters from the second OSCE vehicle, and the SMM left the area due to security concerns.
