#AceNewsReport – Sept.18: Croatia has closed seven of its eight border crossings with Serbia overwhelmed by a huge surge of refugees turned away by Hungary. PM said Croatia will not accept or accommodate asylum seekers any longer.

Some of the refugees appear to be stuck on the border between Croatia and Hungary. Reuters reported on Thursday that a convoy of more than 10 buses which was heading towards the Croatian city of Osijek was turned towards the Hungarian border. Refugees were offloaded at the Croatian border village Beremend, according to a Reuters reporter at the scene. Hundreds of migrants were also witnessed on Friday at a petrol station by a road in the Croatian border town of Beli Manastir.

Scuffles between refugees erupted on Friday at the Croatian Beli Monastir train station as the people were boarding the trains bound for Zagreb. Some were injured and received first aid.

Some were injured and received first aid.

Dozens of refugees staged a silent sit-in protest at the Serbian-Hungarian border near the town of Horgos on Friday. They held placards which read: “We don’t have houses anymore. We will live here,” and “This is shame for Europe.”

The site was a scene of violence on Tuesday, when police used water cannon and teargas to push back refugees attempting to enter Hungary.

Milanovic said on Friday he has called a session of Croatia’s National Security Council. Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic told N1 Television that “it’s a matter of time” before Croatia closes all borders.

Columns of asylum seekers were expected to turn to Slovenia, however the Interior Ministry said on Friday that Slovenia does not intend to open a corridor for the refugees heading to Western Europe to pass through.

“At the moment we have no basis on which we could form a corridor,” Interior Ministry state secretary Bostjan Sefic told reporters.

#FOIA MOD Documents Reveal Coalition Forces Bombing Syria without Democratic Sanction ‘

#AceNewsReport – SYRIA:July.17: British combat pilots embedded with American and Canadian coalition forces have bombed targets in Syria without democratic sanction, a Freedom of Information (FoI) request has revealed.  Ministry of Defence (MoD) documents obtained by UK human rights group Reprieve on Thursday indicate that British air forces have been covertly involved in military airstrikes over Syria for some time RT Reported via Sources.

This revelation makes “current debate over whether Britain should carry out such strikes somewhat obsolete,” staff lawyer at Reprieve Jennifer Gibson said in a statement on Friday.

It is alarming that Parliament and the public have been kept in the dark about this for so long,” she added.

An extract from the MoD response to Reprieve’s FOI request says: “UK military personnel embedded with the USA, French and Canadian armed forces have been authorized to deploy with their units to participate in coalition operations against ISIL [Islamic State]

These personnel include pilots flying ISR and Strike missions against ISIL targets using the equipment of those units. Of these three nations only the USA and Canada are operating in Syrian airspace.

The admission says that “UK Embeds operate as if they were the host nation’s personnel, under that nation’s chain of command,” bringing into question the legal basis from UK personnel’s apparently long-running involvement in airstrikes on Syria.

The revelations have created immediate dissent in the government, with Tory MP John Barron telling the BBC that Parliament had said “no to military intervention.

Those troops or individuals should be withdrawn from the embedded program whilst this vote holds sway, while it stills hold authority, until we vote again.

While the UK has been involved in airstrikes against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in Iraq since September 2014, UK MPs voted against military intervention in crisis-ridden Syria in August 2013. The outcome of the vote caused considerable embarrassment to Prime Minister David Cameron, who openly backed the move.

Responding to a question put by then-Labour Leader Ed Miliband at the time, Cameron vowed to seek another vote before extending combat operations to Syria.

Following June’s terror massacre in Tunisia which left 30 British tourists dead, senior political and military figures in the UK have once again started to push for airstrikes in Syria. In 2013, Britain’s proposed military intervention in the war-torn state was aimed at overthrowing Syrian President Bashar Assad. Recent debate on UK airstrikes in the region has focused on obliterating IS militants operating there.

UK Defence Secretary Michael Fallon recently said the extension of British bombing operations to Syria was a logical move. Speaking at an airpower conference held in London on Thursday, he compared IS to Nazi fascists from the 1940s.

The Labour party has called for an explanation from the MoD by Monday morning.

#AceNewsServices – June.14: Edward Snowden ‘Has Blood On His Hands:’ MI6 Is Forced To Pull Spies Out Of Hostile Countries — After Russia And China Decode a MILLION Encrypted Files’ — Based On His Leaks; While The Islamic State, al Qaeda, others — Have Learned How To Better Evade Western Surveillance.

June 14, 2015 · by

Jay Akbar, writing on the June 13, 2015 DailyMailOnline, says Britain’s MI6 foreign spy agency “has pulled its spies out of ‘hostile countries;’ and, “American intelligence agencies are on high alert — after China and Russia crack encrypted files leaked by Edward Snowden.  The Top Secret documents contain information that could lead to the identification of British and American [undercover] spies,” according to [senior] officials in Downing Street — the Home Office, and Security Services.”

“A senior Home Office official accused Snowden — the former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor — responsible for the largest leak of classified information in U.S. history — of having “blood on his hands,” after China, Russia,” al Qaeda, the Islamic State, and others, gained access to over one million files, Mr. Akbar writes.

‘Security Services have reported ‘increasing difficulties’ in tracking terrorists and dangerous criminals via email, chat rooms, and social media — since he [Snowden] exposed Western intelligence gathering [sources and methods],” The London Sunday Times reported.  Mr. Akbar adds that senior “aides to British Prime Minister David Cameron’s office confirmed [to the DailyMailOnline], “the Top Secret [encrypted] material is now in the hands of China and Russia.”  “it has meant agents have had to be moved; and, that knowledge of how we operate has stopped us [from] getting vital information.”  “A British intelligence source added……”Snowden has done incalculable damage.  In some cases, agencies have been forced to intervene; and, lift their agents from operations to prevent them from being identified and killed.  we know Russia and China have a access to Snowden’s material; and, will be going through it for years to come, searching for clues to identify potential targets.”

“Former GCHQ Director [NSA’s ‘sister’ agency in Britain], Sir David Omand, believes the leak represents a “huge strategic setback,” which is “harming Britain, America, and her NATO allies.”  Sir David Omand added, “the leak could spark a ‘global intelligence arms race,’ adding: ‘I have no doubt whatever the programs are being launched; and, money is being spent to try and catch up.  That’s probably not just true of China and Russia; but, a number of other nations who have seen some of this material to be published.”

“I am not at all surprised that people are being pulled back; and, operations where people [agents] are exposed….are having to be shut down, at least for the moment.”  Robin Simcox, writing in the June 9, 2015 edition of Britain’s newspaper — The Independent, wrote “quantifying the damage has not always been easy.”  “If a terrorist suspect dropped off the radar, post-June 23, 2013 [post-Snowden], “it could not always be proved,” that an individual went silent — as a result of what Edward Snowden had disclosed.  “Regardless,” Mr. Simcox contends, “there are trends emerging.”

GERMANY: ‘ G7Live: ‘ Conference Protesters Peaceful & Police Keep Watching Brief ‘

#AceNewsReport – GERMANY:June.07: The crisis in Ukraine and the Greek economy are expected to top the agenda of the two-day G7 summit in southern Germany. However, the event has been overshadowed by mass demonstrations by anti-globalization protesters, who plan to hold more rallies.

Sunday, June 7

11:45 GMT:

Prime Minister Cameron also says he wants to see the #FIFA scandal discussed during the summit. He believes this is the perfect opportunity to tackle the broader “cancer” of corruption globally.

“There is something of an international taboo over pointing the finger and stirring up concerns,” Cameron said in a statement on Friday, as cited by Reuters.

“At international summits, leaders meet to talk about aid, economic growth and how to keep our people safe. But we just don’t talk enough about corruption. This has got to change. We have to show some of the same courage that exposed FIFA and break the taboo.”

11:00 GMT:

British PM David Cameron says Europe must stay united on sanctions against Russia over Ukraine conflict despite pain, Reuters reports.

“We need to make sure Europe remains united,” Cameron told reporters at the G7.

“It (sanctions) has an impact on all countries. (But) Britain hasn’t let our pre-eminence in financial services get in the way of taking a robust response to Russian-backed aggression and I don’t think other countries should either.”

10:05 GMT:

The President of the European Council Donald Tusk says the G7 group would like to see Russia back at the forum’s table.

“We would all prefer to see Russia at the table of the forum so that it can become the G8 group. But our group is a community of values and that is why Russia is not with us today and will not be invited as long as it acts aggressively against Ukraine or other countries,” Tusk said in a press conference.

Meanwhile, it seems as though the protesters have reached the end of the line as they tried to make their way towards the Schloss Elmau hotel.

Ruptly producer Denise Reese, who is at the scene, says there is a relaxed atmosphere and there does not seem to be any hint of trouble at the moment. There are about 500 demonstrators present.

09:53 GMT:

British Prime Minister David Cameron has arrived in Bavaria for the G7 summit. He plans to push EU officials to speed up negotiations to speed up a multi-billion dollar trade deal between the bloc and the US.

His intervention would come after the EU’s chief negotiator said in April that talks to clinch the so-called Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) would stretch into 2016.

09:24 GMT:

Barack Obama said before the start of the G7 summit that leaders would discuss what they perceive to be Russian “aggression” in Ukraine, as well as the threats posed by extremism and climate change.

“So over the next two days in Schloss Elmau we’re going to discuss our shared future, the global economy that creates jobs and opportunity, maintaining a strong and prosperous European Union, forging new trade partnerships across the Atlantic, standing up to Russian aggression in Ukraine, combating threats from violent extremism to climate change,” Obama said, as cited by Reuters.

Before getting down to business, the US president managed to enjoy a traditional Bavarian lunch with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

09:07 GMT:

Ruptly producer Denise Reese has been following the protesters on their march towards the Schloss Elmau hotel.

08:37 GMT:

Demonstrators blocked a road leading to the Schloss Elmau hotel with a sit-down protest. This forced those attending the G7 summit to make the final stretch of their journey by helicopter, Reuters reports.

Bavarian police said on Twitter that 12 protesters had sat down in the road. After the police talked to them, seven of the demonstrators left voluntarily, while five were dragged away forcibly.

08:37 GMT:

Meanwhile, protesters against the G7 summit said that police used a chemical substance on up to 400 people, a spokesperson for the Stop G7 movement told the Sputnik news agency. The spokesperson added that several people suffered injuries after the substance was emitted.

KABUL: ‘ Cameron Makes a Surprise Visit and Pledges Support for New President ‘

#AceWorldNews – AFGHANISTAN (Kabul) – October 03 – Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron on Friday pledged support for Afghanistan’s newly sworn-in president and the country’s new unity government, saying during a surprise visit to Kabul that Britain is committed to helping Afghans build a more secure and prosperous future.

Cameron was the first of world leaders to meet Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai since his inauguration on Monday.

The two had a meeting in Kabul on Friday morning and later held a joint press conference.

“Britain has paid a heavy price for helping to bring stability to this country,” Cameron said, paying tribute to the 453 British servicemen and women who died while serving in Afghanistan.

“An Afghanistan free from al-Qaida is in our national interest – as well as Afghanistan’s,” he said. “And now, 13 long years later, Afghanistan can – and must – deliver its own security.”

But, “we are not leaving this country alone,” he added. “In Britain you will always have a strong partner and a friend.”

‘ US Selling-Out to Iran to Support Bombing ISIS ‘

#AceNewsServices (Opinion) – UNITED STATES – September 26 – The U.S. is considering softening present demands that Iran gut its uranium enrichment program in favour of a new proposal that would allow Tehran to keep nearly half of the project intact while placing other constraints on its possible use as a path to nuclear weapons, diplomats told The Associated Press.

Just recently Mr Cameron met Iranian president Hassan Rouhani in a bid to shore up support in the volatile region, well so we are told, though it is mentioned that Nuclear trade-off, maybe on the cards.

Cameron then held face-to-face talks with US President Barack Obama after in the wake of America’s bombing of Islamic State jihadists in Syria, killing 70 of them.

We are then told the US is acting in a coalition with five Arab states.

Then finally this initiative, is revealed late Thursday, coming after months of nuclear negotiations between Iran and six world powers that have failed to substantially narrow differences over the future size and capacity of Tehran’s uranium enrichment program.

Iran insists it does not want atomic arms but the West is only willing to lift nuclear-related sanctions if Tehran agrees to substantially shrink  enrichment and other activities that Iran could turn toward making such weapons.

So summing up we have a country wanting nuclear enrichment who will not join the US-led coalition and then two meetings later, we are told US is softening its approach. Just waiting for Iran to decide to join the US-led coalition, under what guise will be interesting to see.

‘ New Battle of Britain Against Jihadists ‘

#AceWorldNews – BRITAIN – September 24 – The move comes as ministers warn of a “new Battle of Britain” in the war against extremism.

Britain goes to War Again - Screenshot from 2014-09-24 16:30:39

The Prime Minister will sign off British air strikes after meeting new Iraqi prime minister Haider al-Abadi in New York.

The decision is likely to see MPs recalled for a Commons vote on military intervention as early as Friday with RAF Tornado air strikes unleashed at the weekend.

Mr Cameron will also meet Iranian president Hassan Rouhani today in a bid to shore up support in the volatile region.

He held face-to-face talks with US President Barack Obama last night in the wake of America’s bombing of Islamic State jihadists in Syria, killing 70 of them. The US is acting in a coalition with five Arab states.

The news comes as the US launched a wave of missile strikes on an Al Qaeda-linked group that was suspected of planning an attack on western airports and planes.

The attack on the little-known Khorasan group was separate to the air-strikes carried out on 14 Islamic State targets in Syria.

It came amid fears the group was close to the “execution phase” of the planned attack, which was suspected to have involved bombs that could avoid being detected by airport security.

‘ Cameron Meeting Rouhani Possible Nuclear Trade-Off ‘

#AceNewsServices – NEW YORK – September 23 – David Cameron is to meet Iranian President Hassan Rouhani BBC news reported.

The New York meeting comes after the US and its allies began air strikes against Islamic State (IS) in Syria, but the proposed nature of Iranian action is unclear.

It will be the first time a UK prime minister has met an Iranian president since the Iran’s revolution in 1979.

The UK government said it had not joined Syria strikes “yet”, but debate may begin in Parliament this week.

BBC assistant political editor Norman Smith said there was a “very strong likelihood” that Parliament would be recalled from recess “within the next few days” to sanction any British military action.

Shadow business secretary Chuka Umunna said should Labour be asked to consider the case for action, it would apply the same criteria it did when asked about British military intervention against the Syrian regime, which was rejected by MPs last year.

But Mr Umunna told BBC Radio 4’s Today he thought the public made a distinction between the threat posed by IS and that of Syria.

“This is not a party political issue,” he said. “IS need to be eliminated. They are an evil organisation.

Mr Cameron and Mr Rouhani spoke by phone in November, but the talks later will be their first face-to-face meeting.

The PM was likely to set out “direction and options” during his speech at the United Nations’ headquarters in New York, a government source told BBC News.

Nuclear ‘trade-off’

BBC correspondent Nick Bryant said relations between the UK and Iran had “thawed considerably” in recent months.

‘ Row Over Plan to Ban Scottish MP’s Voting on English Law Erupts ‘

#AceNewsServices – SCOTLAND – September 22 – A row over plans to ban Scottish MPs from voting on English laws has threatened to derail Labour’s final party conference before the general election Telegraph reported.

' Screenshot of Video Watch Miliband Squirm '

‘ Screenshot of Video Watch Miliband Squirm ‘  ‘ Video at this Link ‘

Ed Miliband refused 13 times to say whether he would back plans set out by the Prime Minister for “home rule” in England in the wake of the Scottish independence referendum.

The Labour leader has been backed into a corner over the issue after he signed up to a “vow” alongside Mr Cameron and Nick Clegg to give Scotland greater powers over tax and welfare ahead of the independence referendum.

After having supported new powers for Scotland, Mr Miliband is faced with campaigning against devolution in England because it could leave him unable to form a parliamentary majority.

Labour has 40 Scottish MPs and would be left with the possibility of being unable to secure a parliamentary majority on English issues such as the Budget if they are banned from taking part in votes.

SCOTLAND: ‘ David Cameron Under Fire From Tory Hard-Liners Over Devolving Powers to Scotland ‘

#AceNewsServices – SCOTLAND – September 22 – Prior to the referendum result [ that is presently in dispute] the British PM David Cameron made promises to the Scottish people, with regard to devolving powers to Scotland – should the no vote win.

Today he is under fire from his own party and from the Labour opposition for having promised more powers to Scotland but being vague on similar devolution plans for England.

Cameron on Monday (22 September) was set to meet some 20 Conservative hard-liners who oppose his plans for Scotland and want to scrap a subsidy formula which favours Scots over the English.

In order to swing the Scots’ vote last week away from an ever-more popular independence campaign, Cameron, together with the leaders of Labour and the Liberal-Democrats, pledged to keep the funding scheme and give Scotland further powers as long as it stays within the United Kingdom.

The referendum was won by the unionist camp, but Cameron has since faced an avalanche of criticism. Apart from his own backbenchers who want more powers for English MPs, the prime minister is also under fire from the Labour opposition, which says it has only subscribed to Scottish devolution.

Labour leader Ed Miliband on Sunday said the three-party deal only concerned Scotland, not England or Wales.

“I’m open to the idea of greater scrutiny of legislation by English MPs. But we can’t do it in a back of the envelope, fag packet way,” Miliband said.

Scottish leader Alex Salmond on Sunday said his people were tricked into voting No, as Cameron’s plans will fail amid inner-party bickering.

SCOTLAND: ‘ Decides YES or NO But Cameron BEGS People Smacks at Desperation ‘

#AceWorldNews – SCOTLAND – September 17 – David Cameron begged the people of Scotland not to leave the United Kingdom as he promised them that he “won’t be here forever”. In a final plea before Thursday’s referendum, the Prime Minister warned Scottish voters in a speech in Aberdeen that separation would be a “painful divorce”.

Cameron Begs Scot's Not to Leave Britain '

Cameron Begs Scot’s Not to Leave Britain ‘

Mr Cameron was close to tears as he warned voters that Alex Salmond’s separatist movement had “painted a picture” of an independent Scotland that was “too good to be true”. He said the reality would involve stricter borders which could mean people being forced to “pack their passport when they’re going to see friends and loved ones”.

Mr Cameron also attempted to placate Scots who dislike him and his government by reminding them that he would not be Prime Minister forever. “Don’t think, ‘I’m frustrated with politics right now, so I’ll walk out the door and never come back,’ ” Mr Cameron told the audience of Conservative activists. “If you don’t like me, I won’t be here forever. If you don’t like this government, it won’t last forever. But if you leave the UK, – that will be forever.”

The White House on Monday reiterated Barack Obama’s call for Scotland to remain part of a united Britain. The President’s spokesman said Mr Obama wanted the UK to remain “strong, robust, united, and an effective partner”. In London, thousands of people attended a “unity rally” intended to encourage Scots to vote against independence.

' Islamic State Claims Execution of British Aid Worker David Haines '

#AceBreakingNews – September 14 – Islamic State jihadists have released a video which they claim shows the beheading of a 44-year-old British aid worker, David Haines, who has been held hostage since his abduction last year RT reported.

david-haines

The masked man in the latest video released across social media on Saturday night claims that Haines was killed because of UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s pledge to arm Kurdish forces in order to battle the jihadist group, according to reports.

This British man has to pay the price for your promise, Cameron, to arm the Peshmerga against the Islamic State,” the executioner said, according to liveleak.

My name is David Cawthorne Haines,” the hostage reportedly said before the execution.

I would like to declare that I hold you, David Cameron, entirely responsible for my execution. You entered voluntarily into a coalition with the United States against the Islamic State, just as your predecessor, Tony Blair, did, following a trend amongst our British Prime Ministers who can’t find the courage to say no to the Americans.”

The video footage was similar to that of the executions of two American journalists,James Foley and Steven Sotloff, by Islamic State militants.

The murder of David Haines is an act of pure evil. My heart goes out to his family who have shown extraordinary courage and fortitude.

The UK Foreign Office confirmed Sunday that the video was genuine.

When NATO last met here in the UK in 1990, many would have hoped that its core aim would soon have been fulfilled. After the long years of the Cold War, the vision of a Europe whole, free and at peace seemed within our grasp. Yet today the protection and security that NATO provides is as vital to our future as it has ever been in our past.

We face new and evolving dangers. To the East, Russia is ripping up the rulebook with its annexation of Crimea and its troops on sovereign soil in Ukraine. To the South, an arc of instability bends from North Africa to the Middle East.

Last night we discussed the threat posed by ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) in Iraq and Syria.

So our message is clear. We are united in our condemnation of these barbaric and despicable acts. They should be very clear, these terrorists: their threats will only harden our resolve to stand up for our values and to defeat them.

To do so – and to deal with all the threats we face – our great alliance must now evolve and refocus on the new capabilities that we need to keep our people safe. And I hope that in these sessions today we can agree the changes that are needed. For me there are 3.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has refused to include south-eastern militia in the peace negotiations which are aimed at resolving the conflict in the country, according to his press-service.

Explaining his decision at the meeting with Netherlands’ Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans in Kiev, Poroshenko said the militia forces are to blame for the MH17 flight crash that happened on Thursday when the Malaysia airline’s plane was downed near Donetsk, resulting in 298 deaths.

Speaking about the settlement of the conflict in the Donbas, Poroshenko noted that those who are related to a terrorist attack cannot be a party in the negotiations. Their crime should be investigated in international courts,” said the press service.

Kiev armed forces are concentrating on Donetsk’s western borders preparing for an assault on the city, representative of DPR self-defense forces told RIA Novosti.

The representative also told the agency that despite a temporary truce over the MH17 flight incident, the fighting continues to the south of the city, as well as other areas. He said the anti-Kiev forces also engaged in fighting near Donetsk airport where there is a large concentration of Kiev forces.

The representative added that villages surrounding the airport suffered civilian loses, as Ukrainian tanks and four Grad rockets shelled the villages of Peski, Tonenkoe, and Andreevka. After the shelling, Ukrainian forces took the communities of Severnoe and Tonenkoe by deploying four tanks in the villages.

02:04 GMT:

US President Barack Obama is once again pressuring his European allies to impose more sanctions on Russia, as he spoke to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister David Cameron on the phone.

Barack Obama Pensive

“While agreeing to continue efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the current crisis, they reaffirmed their determination to remain in close contact as they consider what additional actions  may be required,” the White House said of Obama’s call with Merkel.

“They emphasized that Russia bears a clear responsibility to deny separatists in eastern Ukraine  continued access to heavy weapons and other support from inside Russia,” it said.

In their separate call, Obama and Cameron “reiterated the need to take further action if Russia continues to fail to take … steps” to de-escalate the Ukraine conflict, the White House said.
