“Let me explain: we have worked out and implemented measures that exclude the use of these [GPS] stations for military purposes. Now they are under our full control,” Rogozin wrote in his Twitter microblog.
The Russian vice-premier also said that Moscow had “initiated talks with the US on the deployment of our [GLONASS] stations on the US territory.”

The talks are expected to last until August 31, following which “new decisions will be taken,” Rogozin said.

(VoR) – The Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) is set to resume negotiations on the possible deployment of Glonass global navigation satellite system elements in the United States, the newspaper Izvestia wrote on Tuesday.

“Roscosmos has done paperwork for the Americans and have filed the documents with the Foreign Ministry. They the documents state that our countries have made big progress in bilateral relations and this success should be developed for the sake of partnership and public interests.

They propose to resume the consultations shortly and to pursue the path chosen earlier,” a well-informed source in Roscosmos told the newspaper.

` China and Russia are Negotiating Scope for ` Large-Scale Joint- Space ‘ Projects ‘

#AceWorldNews – MOSCOW – April 11 – Russia and China are negotiating scope for large-scale joint space projects, Russian Federal Space Agency deputy head Sergey Saveliev told a teleconference at ITAR-TASS ahead of Cosmonautics Day marked in Russia on April 12.

The Roscosmos official said on Friday that Russian-Chinese co-operation was currently confined to China purchasing space technology items from Russia. “Last year, we agreed with our Chinese counterparts to discuss possibilities for broader co-operation, which means implementing one, two or three scientific projects,” he said. “We are working on these proposals at the moment.”

Saveliev noted growing willingness among Chinese partners to co-operate. Interaction would probably be similar to that with the European side of the ExoMars mission, a Mars exploration project of the European Space Agency in collaboration with Roscosmos.
