ISRAEL: ‘ NETANYAHU JUSTIFIES POLICE SHOOTING OF MAN WHO ATTACKED POLICE CAR WITH A KNIFE ‘

#AceNewsServices – Nov.10 –  The police shot and killed a 22-year-old man from the northern Arab village of Kafr Kana in the early hours of Saturday morning, after he allegedly attacked a police car with a knife.

However, CCTV footage may contradict the officers’ statement that a warning shot was fired in the air before the man was fatally wounded you can judge for yourselves.

A large protest was held in the Galilee village on Saturday to protest the shooting.

At its climax, clashes erupted between stone throwers and the large police force stationed nearby. A general strike among Israeli Arabs was announced by The Higher Arab Monitoring Committee, which called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to fire Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch.

However, Netanyahu backed the officers and harshly criticized the protesters in Kafr Kana. “Israel is a state of law,” he said. “We won’t tolerate disturbances and riots. We will take action against stone throwers, those who block traffic arteries, and those who call for establishing a Palestinian state in place of the State of Israel.

Whoever does not respect Israeli law will be punished to the fullest extent.

I will direct the interior minister to consider stripping the citizenship of those who call for the destruction of the State of Israel.”

` Jish has been targeted by a suspected ` Price-Tag ‘ Incident leaving Words written in Hebrew to Ethnically Cleanse Jews’

#AceWorldNews – ISRAEL – April 03 – (Arutz Sheva – INN) – Arab village in the Galilee has been targeted in a suspected “price-tag” incident, according to police.

Around 40 cars had their tires slashed in the predominantly Christian village of Jish, in northern Israel, which lies some 25 kilometres (15 miles) north of the Sea of Galilee, police spokeswoman Luba Samri said Thursday morning.

“This morning in Jish, it was discovered that almost 40 vehicles had had their tyres slashed,” she told AFP, saying police had opened an investigation.

Written in Hebrew on a nearby wall were the words: “Only Gentiles (non-Jews) should be removed from our land,” she said, in an apparent reference to ongoing efforts to ethnically-cleanse Jews from parts of Judea and Samaria.

“Price tag” is a euphemism for politically-motivated vandalism and criminal damage usually attributed to Jewish extremists, carried out either in revenge for Arab terrorist attacks, or in protest of Israeli government policies such as the destruction of Jewish homes in Judea and Samaria.

A Little Town of Jish in Syria that is one of the last to Speak Aramaic – Jesu’s Language

The Jewish-Roman historian Josephus wrote that Jish was the last city in the Galilee region to fall to the Romans in the first Jewish war (66-73 CE)–but it remained a large Jewish village (known as Gush Halav) until as late at the 15th century.

Since that time, the population of Jish has changed repeatedly both as a result of natural factors (an 1837 earthquake destroyed the city) and strife–with Jews, Christians, and Muslims coming and going.  Today, the population is 55% Maronite Christian, 35% Greek Orthodox, and 10% Muslim.

The demography of the town is interesting enough, but what is unique about the town is language. Though everyone is the town speaks Hebrew and Arabic, the older Maronites in Jish still speak Syriac Aramaic–the ancient Semitic language that belongs to the same family as Hebrew.

Aramaic was the language of the parts of the Tannach (such as passages in the books of Daniel and Ezra)but it is most commonly identified as being the language spoken in Samaria and Judea at the time of Jesus.

Today all Maronite religious services are still chanted in Aramaic; however, most of the young people of Jish don’t understand what they are saying.
