#AceNewsReport – Oct.31: Michel Aoun, now president-elect of Lebanon after lawmakers elected him after four rounds of voting, is a former army commander and ally of Hezbollah, Reuters reports.
Aoun eventually won 83 out of 127 votes from lawmakers, but failed to initially get the two-thirds majority many thought he would get. Reuters also says that many see the win as a boon for an Iranian coalition.
