Jay Akbar, writing on the June 13, 2015 DailyMailOnline, says Britain’s MI6 foreign spy agency “has pulled its spies out of ‘hostile countries;’ and, “American intelligence agencies are on high alert — after China and Russia crack encrypted files leaked by Edward Snowden.  The Top Secret documents contain information that could lead to the identification of British and American [undercover] spies,” according to [senior] officials in Downing Street — the Home Office, and Security Services.”

“A senior Home Office official accused Snowden — the former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor — responsible for the largest leak of classified information in U.S. history — of having “blood on his hands,” after China, Russia,” al Qaeda, the Islamic State, and others, gained access to over one million files, Mr. Akbar writes.

‘Security Services have reported ‘increasing difficulties’ in tracking terrorists and dangerous criminals via email, chat rooms, and social media — since he [Snowden] exposed Western intelligence gathering [sources and methods],” The London Sunday Times reported.  Mr. Akbar adds that senior “aides to British Prime Minister David Cameron’s office confirmed [to the DailyMailOnline], “the Top Secret [encrypted] material is now in the hands of China and Russia.”  “it has meant agents have had to be moved; and, that knowledge of how we operate has stopped us [from] getting vital information.”  “A British intelligence source added……”Snowden has done incalculable damage.  In some cases, agencies have been forced to intervene; and, lift their agents from operations to prevent them from being identified and killed.  we know Russia and China have a access to Snowden’s material; and, will be going through it for years to come, searching for clues to identify potential targets.”

“Former GCHQ Director [NSA’s ‘sister’ agency in Britain], Sir David Omand, believes the leak represents a “huge strategic setback,” which is “harming Britain, America, and her NATO allies.”  Sir David Omand added, “the leak could spark a ‘global intelligence arms race,’ adding: ‘I have no doubt whatever the programs are being launched; and, money is being spent to try and catch up.  That’s probably not just true of China and Russia; but, a number of other nations who have seen some of this material to be published.”

“I am not at all surprised that people are being pulled back; and, operations where people [agents] are exposed….are having to be shut down, at least for the moment.”  Robin Simcox, writing in the June 9, 2015 edition of Britain’s newspaper — The Independent, wrote “quantifying the damage has not always been easy.”  “If a terrorist suspect dropped off the radar, post-June 23, 2013 [post-Snowden], “it could not always be proved,” that an individual went silent — as a result of what Edward Snowden had disclosed.  “Regardless,” Mr. Simcox contends, “there are trends emerging.”

Britain Pulls Spies Out of Russia, China — “Our agents and assets being targeted” as a Result of Snowden, Cyber Hacking, Leaks

LONDON (Reuters) – Britain has pulled out agents from live operations in “hostile countries” after Russia and China cracked top-secret information contained in files leaked by former U.S. National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden, the Sunday Times reported.

Security service MI6, which operates overseas and is tasked with defending British interests, has removed agents from certain countries, the newspaper said, citing unnamed officials at the office of British Prime Minister David Cameron, the Home Office (interior ministry) and security services.

Snowden downloaded more than 1.7 million secret files from security agencies in the United States and Britain in 2013, and leaked details about…

` Boris Berezovsky's Death was Caused by Hanging consistent with Self-Application of the Ligature according to Home Office Pathologist'

#AceWorldNews – WINSOR – March 27 – Boris Berezovsky’s death was caused by hanging, consistent with self-application of the ligature, said Simon Poole, the Home Office pathologist who carried out the post-mortem examination on the exiled Russian ex-oligarch.

There was no suggestion of a violent struggle involving a third party, RIA Novosti quoted Poole as saying.

The inquest in Windsor’s Guildhall also heard that no suicide note was found after Berezovsky’s body was discovered slumped on the floor at his ex-wife’s luxury property in Ascot, Berkshire, on March 23 last year.

DNA Database Fingers the Guilty not the Innocent

This written ministerial statement was laid on 24 October 2013 in the House of Commons by James Brokenshire and in the House of Lords by Lord Taylor of Holbeach.

The government has now delivered its commitment to reform the retention of DNA and fingerprint records by removing innocent people from the databases, and adding the guilty.

1,766,000 DNA profiles taken from innocent adults and children have been deleted from the National DNA Database (NDNAD). 1,672,000 fingerprint records taken from innocent adults and children have been deleted from the national fingerprint database. 7,753,000 DNA samples containing sensitive personal biological material, no longer needed as a DNA profile has been obtained, have been destroyed. 480,000 of the DNA profiles removed as part of this programme were taken from children.

At the same time, 6,800 convicted murderers and sex offenders, not on the database under the previous Government, have had their DNA taken and added to the database. These records will be kept permanently, as will those of every convicted adult on the database, to ensure our databases remain a powerful tool for fighting crime.

Now that our DNA and fingerprint databases meet the requirements set out in Part 1, Chapter 1 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, these provisions will be commenced on 31 October.

The NDNAD annual report for 2012-2013 was today published on the Home Office website, providing information for the public on the routine operation and effectiveness of the database, and on the programme to delete innocent people in preparation for the Protection of Freedoms Act. This report is an important part of the government’s aim for transparency and public confidence in the use of DNA.

The figures in the first part of the report show the size of the NDNAD to 31 March 2013, part way through work to delete DNA profiles in line with the Protection of Freedoms Act. Following the deletions described above, theNDNAD will now be considerably smaller. Part two of the report provides more detailed information on these deletions.

Challenging Our Free Right To Strike

I am not a person that believes in strike action per se but when it comes down to ” Free Rights ” l am firmly behind the people in their action’s! This is not just a case of preventing people striking it is the effect it will have on the way this country will look to the world, during the Olympic‘s! So my reason for posting this article from the Telegraph thanks to Ben Brogan being acknowledged. Is simply l do not believe that we have the right for the wrong reason to prevent anyone from striking for what they believe is their God-given right of ” Free Will”

BREAKING: Jeremy Hunt just spoke to Jim Naughtie on the Today programme about how the government is dealing with the Olympic security challenges and the planned strike action by border staff. He said the deployment of further troops to guard the security of the Games was not promoted by further failures by G4’s but simply because he didn’t want to “leave anything to chance”.

He stressed that G4’s failings were with the management not the workers, and that it was important not to “demonise” those working at the Games.

On the border strike, he said “we can be very confident of the provisions we have in place”, but added that he thought the eve of the Olympics was “the wrong time to strike”.
