Boris Johnson is reportedly weighing up plans to allow 800,000 Scots living in England the right in any future Scottish independence referendum, the leader of the All for Unity party has told GB News.

But Jamie Blackett said the government should go further and ensure all Scots, whether living in the UK or abroad, should be given the right to vote.

He said: “I don’t think it’s inevitable at all there will be another referendum. Nicola Sturgeon had 31% of the electorate voting for her on May 6 and that to my mind is not a mandate.

“The unfortunate thing is that the unionist vote was split, which allow the SNP to win the majority of the seats.

He added: “I do think we need to clarify matters. We cannot have in Scotland this toxic neveredum which is dividing communities, dividing families, and holding back the economy.

“We’ve urged the government to pass a Canada-style clarity act. One of the sections of that would be to sort out the franchise, not just to allow 800,000 Scots living elsewhere in the UK, but to allow all Scots to vote. Its part of the Scottish condition to go off and seek your fortune, before returning to Scotland.

“My own children are in London but they have ever intention to come back to live in Scotland.

“It’s manifestly unfair that just those Scots living in Scotland are given a vote. Goerge Galloway always points out that the captain of Lithuania would have a vote, but the captain of Scotland would not be able to as he’s playing in England.”

The Times is also reporting that Ruth Davidson could be ready for a return to frontline politics – being offered a ministerial role co-ordinating policy to keep the union together.

Last week former prime minister Gordon Brown warned of 50 years of conflict between England and Scotland if the country was partitioned.

  • Do you think all Scots should be allowed to vote in any independence referendum? ………….Or should it be reserved for just those living north of the English border? ……………Let us know what you think in the comments section:

#AceWorldNews – BARCELONA – Nov.08 – There is a certain feeling of excitement in the air, the kind which makes the hairs on the skin stand up. Something big is about to happen.

  • Red and yellow striped flags can now be found all over Catalonia, hanging on balconies, houses and official buildings. Many of the them carry the blue triangle with the white star – a call for independence.

There is also a few signs reading “votar es normal!” (voting is normal) as a protest to the fact that Catalonia is not able to hold a referendum on independence with the blessing of Madrid nor a “consultation” on the question.

The 9N – as the consultative and non-legally-binding vote is called – serves to give the Catalan authorities a better idea of how big support for independence is across Catalonia.

During the last three nights at ten o’clock, the evening silence has been broken for five minutes by the banging on pots from balconies all over Barcelona – another protest to the latest setback for the pseudo-referendum.

At the end of September, Catalan president Artur Mas signed a decree calling for a consultation asking Catalans whether they want independence.

UN SECURITY COUNCIL: ‘ Palestine Together with Arab Countries Prepare Draft Resolution Ending Israeli Occupation by November 2016 ‘

#AceNewsServices – UNITED NATIONS – October 2 – Palestine, together with Arab countries, has prepared a UN Security Council draft resolution that sets the deadline for ending the Israeli occupation — November 2016.

The document, a copy of which was received by TASS on Wednesday, urges Israel’s earliest withdrawal from all Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem.

The text of the bill states that Israeli withdrawal must happen “as rapidly as possible and to be fully completed within a specified time-frame, not to exceed November 2016, and the achievement of the independence and sovereignty of the State of Palestine and the right to self-determination of the Palestinian people.”

The draft resolution requests “all parties to abide by their obligations under international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949.” It also “demands an end to all Israeli military operations, reprisals, forced displacement of civilians, and all acts of violence and hostilities.”

The draft resolution urges the comprehensive settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict based on the UN resolutions, Madrid agreements, including the “land for peace” principle, the Arab peace initiative and the roadmap of the “quartet” of mediators for Middle East settlement.

#Morocco : ” Riot Police Ban Sit-In by Moroccan Judges to break Control of the Judiciary”

#AceWorldNews says Moroccan authorities deployed riot police and closed streets around the Justice Ministry in the capital of Rabat, preventing a banned sit-in by hundreds of judges. The judges were to hold a demonstration calling for independence for the judiciary.

“We want organic laws that guarantee the independence of the judiciary from executive and legislative powers and from social and political lobbies,” president of the Judges’ Club, Yassine Mkhelli, told Reuters. Morocco’s Interior Ministry banned the protest on Friday.

The country’s justice system has been criticized for being under the control of the powerful monarchy since Morocco’s independence in 1956.

Spain: “Lawmakers in Spanish Region of Catalonia Vote to Seek a Referendum on Breaking away from Spain”

The Catalan Parliament in Barcelona voted 87 to 43 in favour of a referendum, with 3 abstentions, Reuters reported. A petition will be sent to the national parliament seeking the power to call a popular vote on the region’s future. Polls show roughly half of Catalans want independence. As many as 80 percent want the right to vote on the matter.
