#AceWorldNews – Sevastopol – March 19. The Ukrainian Navy’s commander Sergei Gaiduk has been temporarily detained by the prosecutor’s office in Sevastopol.
“There are questions to be put to him,” the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office has told the KrymInform news agency about the reasons for the detention.
The prosecutor’s office explained that, according to their sources, Gaiduk had passed on to Ukrainian military units Kiev’s orders to use weapons against civilians.
Earlier, Itar-Tass reported that Sergei Gaiduk followed by around 50 officers abandoned the territory of the fleet headquarters in Sevastopol, taking away all their belongings and documents.
The Ukrainian officers walked away from the territory unimpeded; their relatives welcomed them at the gate.

Polling stations closed in Crimea after the referendum where residents were to decide on the future status of the region.
“The results of the referendum exit polls in Crimea and Sevastopol: 93 percent voted for the reunion of Crimea with Russia as a constituent unit of the Russian Federation. 7 percent voted for the restoration of the 1992 constitution of the Republic of Crimea and Crimea’s status as part of Ukraine,” the Crimean republican institute for political and social research said in a statement as cited by RIA Novosti.

Aksyonov said all enterprises paid pension and social insurance taxes to the Crimean budget under the existing tariffs.
