` Ukrainian Government Announces Formation of the National Guard with 6,000 Combat Ready Troops ‘

#AceWorldNews – UKRAINE – May 19 – Last week the Ukrainian government announced the formation of the National Guard, after it was revealed that the army only had 6,000 combat ready troops compared to Russia’s 200,000.

The volunteer force will bolster the under-strength military and protect Ukraine’s borders after Crimea having been effectively annexed and Russian forces now building up along Ukraine’s eastern border.

The first to answer the call were the self defence groups who fought on the barricades during last month’s revolution.

So we headed down to the Maidan to hopefully tag along with them to the training grounds outside of Kiev for their induction day.

` Moscow urged Kiev to ensure `Security ‘ of all `Russian Official Missions’ to the Ukraine ‘

#AceWorldNews – MOSCOW – March 24 – Moscow urged Kiev to ensure the security of all Russian official missions in Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

This was after following an attempt by ultra nationalists to force their way into an office of the Russian Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation in the Ukrainian capital.

“On March 23, a group of persons who claimed to be the ‘11th Maidan hundred’ attempted to enter the building in Kiev rented by the Russian Federation for the work of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in the capital of Ukraine.

These persons stated their wish to use the premises, the property and equipment belonging to the Russian Federation for setting up their headquarters there.

They threatened the Ukrainian citizens who were present there and warned them against cooperation with Russia.

They also stole the Centre’s car,” the ministry said.

More on this story soon ………………………………………….

A shooting incident in Simferopol on Tuesday, which claimed the lives of two people, was a provocation, Russian Black Sea Fleet Commander Alexander Vitko said Wednesday. “The sniper did his job there like on the Maidan (in Kiev),” KrymInform news agency quoted him as saying. Admiral Vitko called attention to the warning about forthcoming provocations that the staff of the Black Sea Fleet issued March 14. “What happened in Simferopol yesterday was beyond any doubt a provocation and its style suggests that the sniper there acted in the same manner as the one on the Maidan,” he said. “Two people died as a result,” Admiral Vitko said. #ANS2014

“There has been enough evidence collected to take the decision and bring them in as defendants in absentia within the nearest time for preventive detention and put them on the wanted list,” he said.
