#AceBreakingNews – UKRAINE – One civilian was killed and several others wounded in eastern Ukraine as the National Guard started shooting at protesters and voters, who had gathered around a seized polling station in Krasnoarmeysk, self-defence forces and witnesses said.

The National Guard entered the city in the Donetsk region earlier on Sunday and occupied several polling stations, the city council building among them. First reports on shooting appeared on Twitter.

I just saw the National Guard kill one and injure several others,” Russian journalist Ilya Azar wrote in his micro-blog. Later this was confirmed by Denis Pushilin, the co-chairman of the self-proclaimed People’s Donetsk Republic.

Azar also posted a photo of the dead young man. He says at least one more person was injured in the chest. Other unconfirmed reports on Twitter say at least three others sustained wounds.

An amateur video posted on YouTube shows several National Guard mercenaries blocking the entry to the city council headquarters used as a polling station, and firing at locals.

People were just standing there, unarmed, outside the city council seized by the Guard,” Azar tweeted.

Krasnoarmeysk, together with many other places in southeastern Ukraine, has conducted an autonomy referendum. Following the National Guard’s interference, the voting was stopped. Four schools got seized by masked men; all the people had to be evacuated.

“They threatened us and said that they were sent by the Kiev authorities,”Sergey, a local resident, told RT.

By that time, over 47,000 people had cast their ballots, self-defense forces said.

` Japanese Defence Ministry Planning to Deploy Patriot Missiles ‘

#AceWorldNews – TOKYO – May 10 – The Japanese Defence Ministry is planning to deploy Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missiles in central Tokyo within three years to shield the capital from potential attacks, the Japan Times reports.

MIM-104 Patriot PAC3

The plan is designed to beef up the capital’s defences against a possible ballistic missile attack from North Korea, according to informed sources. The PAC-3 system would be deployed in the Ichigaya district in the Shinjuku ward as early as 2017.

If Japan believes it is under attack from ballistic missiles, the self Defence Forces (SDF) would

first order Aegis equipped destroyers to shoot them down from space using Standard Missile-3 interceptors. If they fail then the PAC-3, which only has a range of about 20 km, would form the second line of defense.

` Shooting, Military Vehicles Including Tanks and Armed Fighters Clad in Black Uniforms in Centre of Mariupol’

#AceNewsServices – UKRAINE – May 09 – Shooting, military vehicles and armed fighters clad in black uniforms are reported to be in the centre of Mariupol in Eastern Ukraine. Unconfirmed reports suggest one person has been killed and four wounded in the offensive.

Many people came to mark Victory Day, but as the reports of shooting started coming in, they moved on to show support for a few dozen policemen who had barricaded inside the building, refusing to take orders from Kiev.

Federalization supporters screamed “Fascists!” as the Kiev forces approached.

One of the armoured vehicles then opened fire at a group of unarmed civilians, according to a self-defence forces’ representative.

RT’s stringer in Mariupol has been injured while trying to film and is now in hospital. Doctors say that in spite of his bulletproof vest he has sustained an injury to the stomach.

“About 1,500 people left the parade and went to the local interior ministry HQ. People in camouflage confronted them, shooting into the air using lethal weapons,” a witness told Interfax.

The witness also stated that another group of city residents set a car tire on fire next to the city council building.

Earlier, self-defense forces in Mariupol reported that armed people had tried to seize the local city department of the Interior Ministry.

“Camouflaged people are storming the building of the city’s interior ministry department. A bus with soldiers has driven up – they are from a military unit located in the vicinity of Mariupol. Policemen who refuse to obey Kiev regime’s orders are being detained,” a representative of the self-defence forces told Interfax.

The self-defence forces also said that “policemen of the city department refused to obey Kiev’s orders and guard the building of the city council, which had been seized a day earlier by the Ukrainian security services. As a result, Kiev authorities decided to storm the building of the city Interior Ministry department, policemen are shooting back, the building is surrounded.”

The information on the number of casualties is now being checked, the self-defence forces representative said.

Self-defence forces say the government forces used heavy weaponry while storming the local branch of the Interior Ministry. “Armoured vehicles approached the building and opened fire with heavy weapons. The building is old and has thick walls, so you can’t penetrate it with machine gun fire,” a representative of the self-defence forces told Interfax news agency.

City streets are now on lock-down for transport and pedestrians, as armoured vehicles are approaching from the airport outside the city.

“Yesterday we were told that some provocations were being prepared, but people didn’t believe it, so a Victory Day parade was scheduled for 9am today,” a local resident, who identified herself as Victoria, told RT.

Ukrainian MP Oleg Lyashko claims that forces loyal to the Kiev coup-installed government have orders “not to take anyone alive.”

He wrote in his Facebook account that “the perimeter around the Interior Ministry department building in Mariupol is completely blocked by the armed forces. Terrorists are barricaded inside and are now returning fire. An order has been issued not to take anyone alive.”

” Venezuelan Offices of the `Opposition Party Popular Will’ have been raided to arrest their Founder ”

#AceWorldNews says Venezuelan military intelligence officers are reported to have raided the headquarters of the country’s opposition party, Popular Will.

Several of the party’s officials alleged armed officers arrived at the office, threw tear gas, and attempted to remove several individuals from the premises.

“The intelligence officers arrived and began to harass us,” said party activist Adriangela Ruiz. Security camera footage provided by Popular Will, which has not been independently verified, showed officers entering the party’s offices armed with guns.

Venezuela’s government has issued an arrest warrant for Leopoldo Lopez, Popular Will’s founder, who has been accused by the Maduro administration of inciting violence and acts of terrorism.

#Korea : “North & South Agree to Proceed on `Family Reunions’ as `Pyongyang Postpones’ Military Excercises”

#AceWorldNews says that North and South Korea agreed on Friday to proceed with reunions of families separated by the Korean War, Reuters reported. Pyongyang earlier demanded that the reunions could only go ahead if the South postponed military exercises with the US.

There was no link between the issues in a three-point agreement reached after two sessions of talks this week. They were the first high-level meetings between the sides in seven years.

China: “Construction of the Second of Four Planned Aircraft Carriers is Under Way Top Government Officials Confirm”

#AceWorldNews says according to the AFP China has started constructing the second of four planned aircraft carriers, a top government official said according to media reports on Saturday.
The ship is under construction in the north-eastern port of Dalian and will take six years to build, the reports said quoting Wang Min, Communist Party chief for Dalian’s Liaoning province.
The country’s first aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, was completed in September 2012 in a symbolic milestone for the country’s increasingly muscular military.
Another two are in the pipeline, according to Wang, in a projection of power that could be seen as contradicting Beijing’s long-stated policy of arming itself strictly for self-defence.
When the Liaoning went into service, Beijing and Tokyo were locked in a territorial row over the Japanese-controlled Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea which China also claims and calls the Diaoyus.
