#AceNewsReport – JERUSALEM:Aug.05: Israel has jailed an alleged Jewish extremist for six months without charges or trial, AP reported.
Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon signed an order late Tuesday that jails Mordechai Meyer, from the West Bank settlement of Maaleh Adumim.
For the first time “administrative detention” has been applied against an Israeli since the crackdown against militant Jews began following two deadly attacks last week. Meyer, said to be 18 years old, was being held in connection to “his involvement in violent activities and recent terror attacks.”
He was suspected of links to attacks against a church in northern Israel and another in Jerusalem, as well as attacks on Palestinian property, Israeli media say.
