Obama Summons Embattled Veterans Secretary

Veterans Secretary Eric Shinseki

For a country that can spend $50 Billion on a new H.A.A.R.P and give Muslim countries over $100 Billion, this is shameless by Obama. I don’t know people that are loyal to Obama can stay loyal. He puts people in place, if they make a mess of it, Obama’s fault, he is commander in chief! America, you know this is shocking, yet 10% of you are waking up and asking questions. These are guys who put life before country, America you are all patriotic, I love that about you, but this isn’t a very patriotic story. As usual someone will blame Red or Blue or Left or Right, but the fact remains, IT HAPPENS! You disregard your ex military at the expense of being a WAR NATION! I would be ashamed to be American, not having a go at American people, I am however bringing into Question Obama and his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Go check for yourself. There is something there

President Barack Obama is to meet his beleaguered Veterans Secretary Eric Shinseki in the Oval Office this morning, the White House says. The 10.15am behind-closed-doors discussion comes as pressure has been building on Mr Shinseki to hand in his resignation over the healthcare scandal engulfing the Veterans Affairs agency. Mr Obama is expected to make a statement at 11.15am. The president said in an ABC News interview on Friday that he planned to “have a serious conversation with him about whether he thinks he’s prepared and has the capacity to take on the job of fixing it, because I don’t want any veteran to not be getting the kind of services they deserve”.

Claims that surfaced last month suggesting up to 40 veterans may have died while awaiting treatment in the Arizona healthcare system have spawned a nationwide inquiry. Earlier on Friday morning, Mr Shinseki, a retired four-star general, apologised and said he would oust the leadership at the Phoenix hospital that is at the centre of the affair. Republican and Democratic lawmakers have demanded he quit over the furore, which has become a political timebomb. But Mr Shinseki gave no sign that he would step down as he appeared at a conference for homeless veterans in Washington DC. He told the event: “We now know that VA has a systemic, totally unacceptable lack of integrity within some of our veterans health facilities.

Allegations that veterans were neglected are a political timebomb

“That breach of integrity is irresponsible, it is indefensible and unacceptable to me.” Mr Shinseki, who has led the agency for five years, also said he had been “too trusting” in being led to believe that the issues were not so severe. “Given the facts I now know, I apologise as the senior leader of Veterans Affairs,” he said, adding that the problems could be fixed. An interim report found this week that up to 1,700 military veterans were “at risk of being lost or forgotten” after being kept off waiting lists amid “significant delays” at the Phoenix clinic. The Veterans Affairs (VA) inspector general, which is investigating 26 facilities run by the agency nationwide, said medical-care delays were “systemic throughout”. The government-run system provides medical care to about 6.5 million US veterans annually

Obama Proposes $5bn Anti-Terrorism Fund

Obama: “Not every problem is a nail”

With the American Dollar seemingly on it’s knee’s, where does this “Anti Terror” money come from? Has the Federal Reserve just printed more invisible money for Obama? Because the way I see it, the Country has no money for it’s people, yet has $5 Bn to fund incursions into foreign soil

President Barack Obama has unveiled a $5bn (£3bn) fund to help countries tackle extremists, in a speech outlining his foreign policy doctrine. Speaking at the Military Academy in West Point, New York, the US President said the planned US withdrawal from Afghanistan would enable it to focus on emerging threats from the Middle East and North Africa to South Asia. He said he would ask Congress to support the establishment of a Counterterrorism Partnerships Fund to tackle such threats. Standing by his decision not to intervene militarily in Syria’s civil war, Mr Obama said he aimed to bolster US support for moderate Syrian rebels.

Mr Obama spoke during a graduation ceremony at West Point

“I will work with Congress to ramp up support for those in the Syrian opposition who offer the best alternative to terrorists and a brutal dictator,” he said. Mr Obama laid out his argument that modern foreign policy should be rooted in diplomacy rather than intervention. “Here’s my bottom line,” he said, “America must always lead on the world stage. “If we don’t, no one else will. The military that you have joined is, and always will be, the backbone of that leadership. “But US military action cannot be the only – or even primary – component of our leadership in every instance. “Just because we have the best hammer does not mean that every problem is a nail.”

Mr Obama defended his approach to the Ukraine crisis

He said that the main threat to the US remains extremists. “For the foreseeable future,” he said, “the most direct threat to America at home and abroad remains terrorism. “But a strategy that involves invading every country that harbours terrorist networks is naive and unsustainable.”

He also continued to defend his use of drone strikes in countries like Yemen and Somalia, but called for increased transparency on such covert operations. Republicans have criticised Mr Obama’s plan, announced on Tuesday, for the US to keep 9,800 troops in Afghanistan after the war there formally ends later this year. But he said on Wednesday the US had made much headway in Afghanistan against al Qaeda, and “sustaining this progress depends on the ability of Afghans to do the job”. He also defended his approach to the Ukraine crisis, of seeking to build a multilateral consensus against Russia.

“This isn’t the Cold War,” he said. “Our ability to shape world opinion helped isolate Russia right away. Because of American leadership, the world immediately condemned Russian actions.” Mr Obama also said he would continue to press for the closure of Guantanamo Bay, and place new restrictions how America gathers intelligence, amid the fallout from the NSA leaks. “I believe in American exceptionalism with every fibre of my being,” said the President. “But what makes us exceptional is not our ability to flout international norms and the rule of law.”

Sky News’ Hannah Thomas-Peter, who is at the West Point speech, said it outlined how the President views the future of US foreign policy in the aftermath of conflicts in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Critics have said America has lost face and influence in its dealings with Syria’s leader Bashar al Assad, who remains in power despite crossing Mr Obama’s self-proclaimed “red line” and using chemical weapons on his own people. Opponents are also unhappy about Russian intervention in Ukraine, and China’s threats to its neighbours in the South China Sea. Republicans in particular, feel that under Mr Obama’s stewardship America is becoming increasingly disengaged and is losing the capacity to influence global events.

` Gun Activists and Republicans Are Taking on Obama Administration over Financial Rules ‘

#AceWorldNews – WASHINGTON – May 21 – Gun rights activists and Republicans are taking on the Obama administration over financial rules thought to be behind increasing numbers of gun owners and retailers having their bank accounts shut-down.

At issue are rules implemented in 2011 by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, as well as the Justice Department’s Operation Choke Point.

The two government entities are attempting to crack down on fraud through a variety of measures, but they may have ended up cracking down on gun owners instead. RT’s Ameera David gets the details on the contested programs with the president of the Independent Firearm Owners Association, Richard Feldman.

` Uruguayan President Jose Mujica Will Accept Six Detainees from Guantanamo Bay ‘

#AceWorldNews – URUGUAY – May 16 – Uruguayan President José Mujica said on Thursday that his nation will accept six detainees from the US prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The Obama administration should move fast, the Washington Post quoted Mujica as saying.

“It can’t be too long,” he said, adding that he only has a “few months of government left.” Uruguay will accept a group of Arabs who have been cleared for release but can’t return to their nations, either because of war, fear of torture or security concerns about their home countries.

The offer could free the last four Syrian detainees at Guantanamo Bay, a Palestinian and a Tunisian, the paper said.

The White House has long pledged to close the 12-year-old military facility.

Russia Quietly Tightens Reins on Web With ‘Bloggers Law’

After Obama here http://shaunynews.com/2014/05/01/obama-administration-moves-to-virtually-kill-the-internet/ Moves to control USA Internet usage, Russia have decided to do the same, coincidence? Nah I didn’t think so either! First America, then Russia, we had it already in the Middle East/North Africa. This is our last freedom people!

MOSCOW — Russia has taken another major step toward restricting its once freewheeling Internet, as President Vladimir V. Putin quietly signed a new law requiring popular online voices to register with the government, a measure that lawyers, Internet pioneers and political activists said Tuesday would give the government a much wider ability to track who said what online.

Mr. Putin’s action on Monday, just weeks after he disparaged the Internet as “a special C.I.A. project,” borrowed a page from the restrictive Internet playbooks of many governments around the world that have been steadily smothering online freedoms they once tolerated.

The idea that the Internet was at best controlled anarchy and beyond any one nation’s control is fading globally amid determined attempts by more and more governments to tame the web. If innovations like Twitter were hailed as recently as the Arab uprisings as the new public square, governments like those in China, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran and now Russia are making it clear that they can deploy their tanks on virtual squares, too.

China, long a pioneer in using sophisticated technology to filter the Internet, has continually tightened censorship. It has banned all major Western online social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google, though it seems not to be bothered by Alibaba, its homegrown e-commerce site, which has filed the paperwork for what could be the biggest public stock offering ever.

Nevertheless, even Beijing’s own social media champion, Weibo, valued at $3.6 billion in a public stock offering this year, has come under mounting censorship pressure as the government fine-tunes its policing of expression.

Under the pressure of a corruption scandal, Turkey recently imposed bans on Twitter and YouTube over tapes alleging corruption by the country’s prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Although the YouTube ban remains, Twitter service was restored in April only after the Constitutional Court overturned the ban.

During protests against the government in Venezuela in February, there were reports that the government there was blocking online images from users. In recent years, Pakistan has banned 20,000 to 40,000 websites, including YouTube, saying they offend Muslims. Facebook was blocked for a while in 2010, but is now accessible.

The level of challenge is rising, but “we also see the amount of resources going into censorship increasing greatly,” Jonathan Zittrain, a professor at Harvard Law School who specializes in Internet law, said in a telephone interview.

Widely known as the “bloggers law,” the new Russian measure specifies that any site with more than 3,000 visitors daily will be considered a media outlet akin to a newspaper and be responsible for the accuracy of the information published.

Besides registering, bloggers can no longer remain anonymous online, and organizations that provide platforms for their work such as search engines, social networks and other forums must maintain computer records on Russian soil of everything posted over the previous six months.

“This law will cut the number of critical voices and opposition voices on the Internet,” said Galina Arapova, director of the Mass Media Defense Center and an expert on Russian media law. “The whole package seems quite restrictive and might affect harshly those who disseminate critical information about the state, about authorities, about public figures.”

Mr. Putin has already used the pliable Russian Parliament to pass laws that scattered the opposition, hobbled non governmental organizations and shut down public protests. Now, riding a wave of popular support after hosting the Winter Olympics and annexing Crimea, he has turned his attention to regulating the Internet, as well as burnishing his credentials as the worldwide champion of conservative values.

Aside from the Internet law signed Monday, the Russian leader signed a new profanity law that levies heavy fines for using four common vulgarities in the arts, including literature, movies, plays and television.

Speaking in St. Petersburg in late April, Mr. Putin voiced his suspicions about the Internet, even while noting that it had become a public market of huge proportions.

“You know that it all began initially, when the Internet first appeared, as a special C.I.A. project,” he said in remarks broadcast live nationally, before adding that “special services are still at the center of things.” He specifically thanked Edward J. Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor granted asylum in Russia, for revealing to the world how efficient the N.S.A. was at collecting information.

Mr. Putin went on to say that someone writing online whose opinion affects thousands or even hundreds of thousands of people should be considered a media outlet. He said he was not talking about a ban, only acting “the way it is done all over the world.”

Russian Internet pioneers despaired that Mr. Putin was really talking about the Chinese model of curtailing any political discussion online.

“It is part of the general campaign to shut down the Internet in Russia,” said Anton Nossik, an early online media figure here. “They have not been able to control it until now, and they think they should implement the Chinese model. But they don’t understand how it works. The Chinese model also stimulates the development of local platforms, while the Russian laws are killing the local platform.”

Russia is among a growing list of countries that have sought to shut down Internet voices circumventing a subservient national news media. Many leaders see the Internet as the key tool behind antigovernment demonstrations and are determined to render it ineffective.

Yet polls conducted in 24 countries last spring by Pew Research found that most people are against government censorship of the Internet, including 63 percent in Russia and 58 percent in Turkey.

Another Russian Internet law, one that went into effect on Feb. 1, gave the government the power to block websites. It immediately used the law against its most vocal critics, like Alexei Navalny and Garry Kasparov, as well as online news sites that reported on demonstrations and other political activity.

In April, Pavel Durov, the 29-year-old founder of Vkontakte, Russia’s popular version of Facebook, said he had fled the country because he feared the consequences of refusing to turn over information the government requested about activists in Russia and Ukraine. Critics said he had fled after cashing out, and United Capital Partners, the owner of a 48 percent stake in the company, posted a lengthy statement online saying he was trying to divert attention from legal issues surrounding his running of the company.
Aleksandr Zharov, who runs Roskomnadzor, the government agency that supervises the Internet, told the state-run RIA Novosti news agency last month that the law was necessary because people need to be held responsible for what they say on the web. “What he would never say face to face, he often allows himself online,” Mr. Zharov was quoted as saying.

The lack of transparency in Russia creates a kind of fog around countless issues, and the Internet is no different. Many critics and even some supporters of the new law said it was too vague to understand.

The Internet needs to be regulated by law just like publishing, said Robert A. Shlegel, among the youngest members of Parliament from United Russia, Mr. Putin’s party. But Internet savvy among legislators is weak, he added. “The law, as it is, is so raw,” he said. “It is clear that the person who wrote it just doesn’t understand.”

The law does not specify how the government will count the 3,000 daily visitors, for example. Even before Mr. Putin signed it, two of the largest blogging platforms, Yandex and LiveJournal, announced that henceforth their publicly visible counters would stop below 3,000.

Ms. Arapova said other murky issues included who would be considered a provider. For instance, will large international social media or search sites like Google, Twitter and Facebook have to keep their data in Russia or face fines and possible closing?

In California, both Twitter and Facebook said they were studying the law but would not comment further.

Ms. Arapova said the law would undoubtedly have a chilling effect in terms of who would go online. Whistle-blowers who work for corrupt government agencies, for example, would theoretically no longer be able to post anonymously.

The actual impact of the law will not be measurable until after it goes into effect on Aug. 1, Ms. Arapova said. Punishments start at fines that can reach up to $142,000 or the temporary closing of the blog, if the law is actively enforced.

Like the Internet law, the ban on four vulgar words was met with a combination of dismay and derision among artists. (The words, not mentioned in the law either, are crude terms for male and female genitalia, sex and a prostitute.) Many people thought it would be widely ignored, but the very idea that the Kremlin was trying to censor the arts rankled.

“We feel like we are back in kindergarten again when they said, ‘Don’t pee in your bed and don’t eat with your hands and don’t use that word,’ ” said Viktor V. Yerofeyev, a popular writer. “On the one hand, the Russian government says the Russian people are the best. On the other hand, it doesn’t trust the people.”

` Coal Industry Accuses Obama Administration of Using EPA to End Use of Coal under EPA’s MAT’S Rules’ ‘

#AceNewsServices – UNITED STATES – WASHINGTON – The American coal industry is accusing the Obama administration of using the Environmental Protection Agency to end the use of coal despite the president’s claim of having an “all of the above” energy policy.

Earlier this year, the EPA issued its Mercury Air Toxics Standards (MATS), which the agency said will eliminate 90 percent of mercury and acid gas released into the air by coal-fired power plants.

“I would say this administration is certainly unfriendly towards coal,” Wyo. Governor Matt Mead said. “And in my view it is a war on coal.”

Mead proudly pointed out that Wyoming is currently the nation’s largest coal producing state. “We export more coal than any other state by far…about 400 million tons per year. Wyoming coal produces a lot of electricity in this country,” he said.

He and others in the coal industry are concerned, however, that the EPA’s MATS rules, which go into effect in January 2016, will devastate coal production in America and force many older power plants to close because the cost of retrofitting them will be too high.

(Global Warming.org) – Reported – April 16 – Yesterday, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 to uphold the EPA’s nonsensical Mercury Air Toxics Standards (MATS) Rule. The MATS Rule requires electric utilities to install maximum achievable control technology (MACT) to reduce emissions of mercury and other hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) from coal-fired power plants.

The rule is nonsensical because, as explained below, although one of the most expensive regulations in history (officially estimated at $9.6 billion in 2016), its health benefits are illusory.

Obama administration moves to virtually kill the internet?

I have left some hyperlinks in, this is disgusting, again, all about money! Say goodbye to your last freedom USA!

WASHINGTON, April 30, 2014– Reports have been circulating that the Obama administration is trying to destroy the internet by killing off net-neutrality. In order to see if the claims check out, you need to meet Tom Wheeler. Just who is Tom Wheeler? If you credit Kathleen Sebelius with the death of the American healthcare system, you could soon credit Wheeler with the death of the internet, or at the very least, as we know it to be now. The Obama administration’s supposed plan is an innate result of crony corporatism and could well be their next big lie.

In November, 2013, President Obama appointed Wheeler to head-up the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). First, never mind that Wheeler raised more than $700,000 for Obama’s two elections.

Second, never mind that 2007 presidential candidate Obama made a solemn promise to protect internet neutrality while visiting Google headquarters in California.

“We have to ensure free and open exchange of information. That starts with an open internet. I will take a backseat to no one in my commitment to network neutrality. Because once providers start to privilege some applications or websites over others then the smaller voices get squeezed out and we all lose. The internet is perhaps the most open network in history, and we have to keep it that way.”

That promise is starting to sound a lot like Obama’s, “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan.” You know, the promise that won PolitiFact’s Lie of the Year. Considering the current moves, the administration’s audacity to leave this net-neutrality campaign video posted on their official YouTube account is astonishingly insulting to proponents of net-neutrality.

Finally, never mind that Wheeler is a former cable and internet lobbyist giant. You know, one of those lobbyists that candidate Obama swore to never hire if he was elected. For decades, Wheeler is credited with lobbying for “deregulation” of the industry.

Is it not peculiar Obama would tap a man, the very man that supposedly wanted to deregulate the cable and internet industry, to lead the massive federal bureaucracy that regulates that very industry?

It’s not as strange as one may think. Two types of “small government” lobbyists exist. One truly wants the government out of everything. The other uses the government to deregulate his own business, while simultaneously lobbying for regulation or unfair disadvantages on competitors, which is often done under the guise consumer protectionism, or blatant corporate protectionism [

So, what is net-neutrality or “open internet”? In layman’s terms, net-neutrality is actually a government regulation pressed on internet service providers (ISPs). The regulation seeks to ensure that all ISPs enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and do so without favoring or blocking particular websites and products.

When approached from an economic vantage point, net-neutrality, in its most basic definition, actually inhibits the ISP free-market.

In most cases, those in favor of small government and free-markets would likely champion such deregulation. Meanwhile, those in favor of market regulation point to fears of censorship.

For example, an ISP like Comcast could limit its end-user subscribers’ ability to access BenSwann.com if it wanted to increase traffic (revenue) to a news website the company owned (MSNBC), or it could begin downgrading BenSwann.com’s connection quality if a friendly competitor like TheBlaze.com was willing to pay higher fees to knock out the competition.

The question we must ask is as follows: Does this deregulation actually move towards a more free marketplace? In this case, probably not. These corporatist giants have used the government to secure no bid contracts, geographical subscriber exclusivity and more. The companies are now formed into a government sponsored quasi-monopoly. This is corporatism- not free-market capitalism.

Last January, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled that the FCC could not regulate net-neutrality. According to the Court plurality, the FCC lacked “regulatory jurisdiction” under the provided framework. Appellant Verizon seems to win the day. Net-neutrality is dead.

However, the Court left a loophole by stating that the FCC could rewrite the rules under a more acceptable framework.

“I intend to accept that invitation by proposing rules that will meet the court’s test for preventing improper blocking of and discrimination among Internet traffic, ensuring genuine transparency in how Internet Service Providers manage traffic, and enhancing competition,” Wheeler said in a statement. “Preserving the Internet as an open platform for innovation and expression while providing certainty and predictability in the marketplace is an important responsibility of this agency.”

But wait, isn’t Wheeler against net-neutrality and in favor of helping his old employers out? That’s what many headlines are reporting, and here is where things get confusing.

If one was to read the Verizon v. FCC case, it seems as though the FCC was trying to protect net-neutrality all along, and the Court ruled in favor of the corporations instead. Obama’s promise upheld. Right? After all, the administration can’t necessarily control what the Court says.

However, the Court gave the FCC the go-ahead to write rules under a new framework. Rather than continue and try to protect net-neutrality, reports now insinuate that the administration will re-write the rules to instead favor the giant ISPs Wheeler lobbied on behalf of for decades.

It is possible that the Verizon v. FCC case was a test case. Many such cases have been brought forth throughout the history of the federal judiciary. The goal of a test case is to figure out just what will be tolerated and in what way. Sometimes we know immediately whether or not a case is a test. However, it sometimes takes decades until such cases are exposed. In most all cases, the federal Court system now creates new tests, frameworks, and alternative ways for which a law or rule could be considered constitutional, or in this instance, within regulatory jurisdiction. This is one way the Court illegally legislates from the bench. The goal of such a test case could have been to get the Court to define ways to incorporate corporate protectionism into the FCC rules. Of course, at this time, this is only speculation. However, it would help to explain what happened next.

According to multiple reports, the FCC is playing a game of Orwellian semantics. While the commission maintains it is protecting net-neutrality, the reports show the new rules could kill net-neutrality by allowing ISPs to create a “fast lane internet”. The possibility of fast lane internet being incorporated into the new FCC rules validates the concerns of net-neutrality proponents.

Although the Court has already ruled that the FCC could not enforce net-neutrality, it seems as though Wheeler’s FCC is now attempting to use the Court’s new framework to write such protection into the actual FCC rules. This could allow ISPs an added layer of protection by throwing the weight of federal regulation on top of the Court’s ruling.

The new rules won’t be fully released until mid-May. For now, all is speculation.

Meanwhile, to fill in the gaps while we wait for new rules to be fully released, one should follow the money.

COMCAST

Brian Roberts, Comcast CEO, is good friends with Obama. He is regularly invited to the White House and has been golfing with Obama. In fact, Roberts even served on Obama’s jobs council. Comcast Vice President David Cohen has raised more than $2.2 million for Obama’s elections since 2007. Since 2008, Comcast has spent more than $91.2 million lobbying the government. Of course, it probably doesn’t hurt that Comcast is the parent company of the hard left-leaning Obama mouthpiece known as NBC Universal which operates the MSNBC cable news station.

TIME WARNER CABLE (TWC)

In 2008, TWC donated $618k to Obama’s election. In 2012, they donated $422k. Since 2008, TWC has spent more than $25.5 million lobbying the government.

VERIZON

In 2008, Verizon donated more than $218k to Obama’s campaign. In 2012, Verizon donated $224k to Obama’s reelection campaign. Since 2008, Verizon has spent more than $97 million lobbying the government.

AT&T

In total, At&T has given Obama more than $484k for his two elections. The company has spent more than $30 million lobbying the government since 2008.

COX ENTERPRISES

In 2008, Cox donated $64k to Obama’s campaign. In 2012, the group donated more than $47k. Since 2008, the group has spent more than $28 million lobbying the government.

Together, these five companies represent the top five ISPs in the country. They also represent Obama’s top donors. With Wheeler driving the FCC and Obama’s top campaign donors pulling the puppet strings, it is hard to imagine the administration actually fighting to maintain net-neutrality.

Government sanctioned neutrality is parallel to government sanctioned equality. Backlash and economic dead weight loss are the byproducts of such interference. With the ensuing death of net-neutrality, many are asking a similar question. Will it kill the internet? Doubtful. However, the government sponsored ISP quasi monopoly makes it too soon to tell.

What Obama Promised the people of the USA

OK, Before I type I thought Obama was the real deal when he came into politics, when he got to the White House I felt a hope, I hoped for better. Many American’s I truly believe do not get how much of an bad impact American foreign affairs has on the World. And also, Obams is probably a decent lad. I am just sharing lies he told

I actually feel people are debating with me so much on “Why Obams is so perfect” they actually don’t read my blogs. I never blog against just Obama, I blog against Russia, India, Ireland, even my own country and more , most of my friends here are from the USA, so I write about the American Government also. Obama is in full control of the USA, HE IS THE MAIN MAN, and for whatever reason people still back the man. All I ever do is tell the truth, or what I have researched as hard as I can. I always leave links at the bottom. I have left a portion of hundreds of links below the lies, if anyone is unsure on any lie in this list, simply Google it, if I am wrong, I am wrong. Will it make me lose sleep? No, Will it change anything? No. Will it make the World a better place? No. I just get Obama supporters down my throat all day. When I post, I post can long and with links, no different from anyone here, so I can tell in most cases people have read the headline and a few lines and guessed on the rest of my blogs. So, ok. Here are some things (From where I am in Scotland 6,000 miles away) I could remember a lie being told, or an action not taken, these words below are not mine, they came from the mouth of Obama.

Strange thing is, Obama fans will find a way to make this and other articles, that are TRUE a lie 😀

I blog for fun, I blog for the truth, I created a group to give others their voice on everything from religion, poetry, pictures, illness, and all in-between, I believe in allowing opinions on the internet, not that what I say count’s for much, but Word Press isn’t just about me, I give people space to have a voice also. People can be real short sighted about a person before they write an nasty email from Chicago, example, and at the end of most blogs I type “More love, less hate” Kinda trademark now, being doing it over a year here. People give me grief over this but forget I did this for other bloggers, to help people https://www.facebook.com/groups/332290193580349/ and to have fun, take a person at full value, not just your values

Lie: “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”

Lie: “My administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in government.”

Lie: “We agree on reforms that will finally reduce the costs of health care. Families will save on their premiums…”

Lie: “I don’t want to pit Red America against Blue America. I want to be the president
of the United States of America.”

Lie: “We’ve got shovel-ready projects all across the country that governors and mayors are pleading to fund. And the minute we can get those investments to the state level, jobs are going to be created.”

Lie: “And we will pursue the housing plan I’m outlining today. And through this plan, we will help between 7 and 9 million families restructure or refinance their mortgages so they can afford—avoid foreclosure.”

Lie: “I will sign a universal health-care bill into law by the end of my first term as president that will cover every American and cut the cost of a typical family’s premium by up to $2,500 a year.”

Lie: “We reject the use of national security letters to spy on citizens who are not suspected of a crime.”

Lie: “For people with insurance, the only impact of the health-care law is that their insurance is stronger, better, and more secure than it was before. Full stop. That’s it. They don’t have to worry about anything else.”

Lie: “We will close the detention camp in Guantanamo Bay, the location of so many of the worst constitutional abuses in recent years.”

Lie: “Allow Americans to buy their medicines from other developed countries if the drugs are safe and prices are lower outside the U.S.”

Lie: “We will revisit the Patriot Act and overturn unconstitutional executive decisions issued during the past eight years.”

Lie: “Will ensure that federal contracts over $25,000 are competitively bid.”

Lie: “We reject sweeping claims of ‘inherent’ presidential power.”

Lie: “Will eliminate all income taxation of seniors making less than $50,000 per year. This will eliminate taxes for 7 million seniors — saving them an average of $1,400 a year– and will also mean that 27 million seniors will not need to file an income tax return at all.”

Lie: “We support constitutional protections and judicial oversight on any surveillance program involving Americans.”

Lie: “If we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home, we will end this war. You can take that to the bank.”

Lie: “Will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days.”

Lie: “The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.”

Lie: “We have a choice in this country. We can accept a politics that breeds division and conflict and cynicism…. That is one option. Or, at this moment, in this election, we can come together and say, ‘Not this time….’”

Lie: “We’ve got to spend some money now to pull us out of this recession. But as soon as we’re out of this recession, we’ve got to get serious about starting to live within our means, instead of leaving debt for our children and our grandchildren and our great-grandchildren.”

Lie: “[T]oday I’m pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office. This will not be easy. It will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we’ve long neglected. But I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay – and that means taking responsibility right now, in this administration, for getting our spending under control.”

Lie: “I, Barack Hussein Obama, do solemnly swear that I will execute the office of president of the United States faithfully, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the constitution of the United States.”

As I said, probably a decent lad being led by others, a puppet, we all know these things happen

DOJ 2015 budget reveals Obama Will Implement Universal Gun Registry by Executive Fiat

Washington, DC –(Ammoland.com)- Last Friday, Attorney General Eric Holder testified before a House appropriations subcommittee on behalf of his department’s proposed budget for FY2015.

Apparently, Holder didn’t think anyone would read his written submission, because he all-but-admitted that Obama intends to implement a Universal Gun Registry by executive fiat.

He also asked Congress to help fund so-called “smart gun” technology, which would prevent a gun from firing unless the shooter is wearing an accompanying bracelet or ring.

“Smart guns” are a dumb idea
Given that “smart gun” technology only works about 80 percent of the time – according to the New Jersey Institute of Technology – gun owners almost universally consider this a “dumb” idea.

Even police have rejected the “dumb gun” approach for themselves.

Currently, there are no such guns on the market in the United States. One gun store did briefly offer an Armatix .22 caliber earlier this year, but public outrage forced them to pull the handgun from the shelves.

  1. Require background checks for all gun sales.
  2. Strengthen the background check system for gun sales.

  3. Pass a new, stronger ban on assault weapons.

  4. Limit ammunition magazines to 10 rounds.

  5. Finish the job of getting armor-piercing bullets off the streets

  6. Give law enforcement additional tools to prevent and prosecute gun crime

  7. End the freeze on gun violence research

  8. Make our schools safer with new resource officers and counselors, better emergency response plans, and more nurturing school climates.

  9. Ensure quality coverage of mental health treatment, particularly for young people.

` Kathleen Sebelius outgoing `Health and Human Services Secretary Airs her Views About Obamcare ‘

#AceWorldNews – WASHINGTON – April 13 – (AP) – The Obama administration’s timeline for having ready the new health care law’s on-line sign-up system “was just flat out wrong,” outgoing Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in an interview that aired Sunday.

President Barack Obama hugs outgoing Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius as he stands with Vice President Joe Biden and his nominee to be her replacement, Budget Director Sylvia Mathews Burwell, Friday, April 11, 2014, in the Rose Garden f the White House in Washington. The moves come just over a week after sign-ups closed for the first year of insurance coverage under the so-called Obamacare law.(AP Photo/Charles Dharapak)

The departing health chief also said the two months when healthcare.gov was plagued with technical problems were “a pretty dismal time” and the low point of her five-year tenure. But she defended the law’s impact and said millions of Americans now have access to health care because of it.

“People have competitive choices and real information for the first time ever in this insurance market,” said Sebelius, who last week announced her resignation.

But she acknowledged the rocky rollout for the online sign-up system fraught with technical problems that left Americans frustrated.

“Clearly, the estimate that it was ready to go Oct. 1 was just flat out wrong,” Sebelius said.

HealthCare.gov was envisioned as the principal place for people to buy insurance under Obama’s health care law. But its first few weeks were an embarrassment for the administration and its allies.

“Well, I think there’s no question — and I’ve said this many times — that the launch of the website was terribly flawed and terribly difficult,” Sebelius said https://news.yahoo.com/sebelius-health-care-launch-terribly-flawed-145354241–finance.html

AceWorldNews TEL AVIV April 13 White House and…

AceWorldNews – TEL AVIV – April 13 – White House and the U.S. Department of State are highly angered by Israel’s ‘neutrality’ regarding Crimea’s reunification with Russia and other events around Ukraine, the Haaretz daily said in an article published Sunday.

“Senior figures in the Obama administration have expressed great disappointment with the lack of support from Israel for the American position on the Ukraine crisis and with the fact that the Israeli government puts its relations with the United States and with Russia on the same plane,” it said.

19 Numbers Prove Americans Are Angrier/More Frustrated Than Ever

I could see this from 5,00o miles away, now you guys are feeling it, how angry are you and why?

#1 65 percent of Americans are dissatisfied “with the U.S. system of government and its effectiveness”. That is the highest level of dissatisfaction that Gallup has ever recorded.

#2 66 percent of Americans are dissatisfied “with the size and power of federal government”.

#3 70 percent of Americans do not have confidence that the government will “make progress on the important problems and issues facing the country in 2014.”

#4 Only 8 percent of Americans believe that Congress is doing a “good” or “excellent” job.

#5 Only 4 percent of Americans believe that it would “change Congress for the worse” if every member was voted out during the next election.

#6 60 percent of Americans report feeling “angry or irritable”. Two years ago that number was at 50 percent.

#7 53 percent of Americans believe that the Obama administration is “not competent in running the government”.

#8 An all-time low 31 percent of Americans identify themselves as Democrats.

#9 An all-time low 25 percent of Americans identify themselves as Republicans.

#10 An all-time high 42 percent of Americans identify themselves as Independents.

#11 Barack Obama’s daily job approval numbers have dipped down into the high thirties several times lately.

#12 Only 38 percent of Americans approve of the way that Obama is handling the economy.

#13 60 percent of Americans believe that the “economic system in this country unfairly favors the wealthy”.

#14 70 percent of Americans do not “feel engaged or inspired at their jobs”.

#15 Two-thirds of U.S. teens “admit to having anger attacks involving the destruction of property, threats of violence, or engaging in violence”.

#16 36 percent of Americans admit that they have yelled at customer service agents during the past year.

#17 73 percent of Americans believe that Obama’s efforts to “reform” the NSA “won’t make much difference in protecting people’s privacy”.

#18 77 percent of Americans believe that the state of the economy is either “not so good” or “poor”.

#19 65 percent of Americans are either “somewhat dissatisfied” or “very dissatisfied” with the direction of the country.

Are you starting to get the picture?

We have never seen anything like this in the United States during the post-World War II era. People are fundamentally unhappy, and that has tremendous implications for the future of our society.

So what is causing all of this anger and frustration?

Well, of course the economic struggles that tens of millions of Americans are experiencing on a daily basis play a huge role. The following is an excerpt from a recent local Fox News report…

Some are describing this as “America’s anger epidemic.” And there are a few reasons: uncertainty in the job market and the economy, working long hours — on average about one month more now than they did in the 1970s and with less vacation.

So if it seems like Americans are angrier these days it’s because we are.

And it is easy to understand why people are becoming increasingly frustrated with the incompetence and rampant corruption in Washington D.C.…

Grim findings have been coming thick and fast. Most Americans no longer see President Barack Obama as honest. Half think that he “knowingly lied” to pass his Obamacare health law. Fewer than one in five trust the government in Washington to do what is right all or most of the time. Confidence in Congress has fallen to record lows: in America, as in Italy and Greece, just one in ten voters expresses trust or confidence in the national parliament. Frankly straining credulity, a mammoth, 107-country poll by Transparency International, a corruption monitor, this summer found Americans more likely than Italians to say that they feel that the police, business and the media are all “corrupt or extremely corrupt”.

Americans are also turning on one another. Since 1972 the Chicago-based General Social Survey (GSS) has been asking whether most people can be trusted, or whether “you can’t be too careful” in daily life. Four decades ago Americans were evenly split. Now almost two-thirds say others cannot be trusted, a record high.

In addition, there are certainly other reasons why people are so angry these days as well…

The “Knockout Game” grows more popular. Athletes throw tantrums that would embarrass most 3-year-olds. Race relations simmer at a constant near-boil, while our leaders engage in enough posturing and name-calling to look more like a modern version of “West Side Story” than the servant-citizens who should inspire peace and mutual respect.

So what do you believe?

Why do you think that Americans are so angry and so frustrated these days?

Is there anything we can do about it?

And how bad will the anger and frustration in this country get when the economy completely collapses?

Please feel free to share what you think by posting a comment below…

` Washington DC bears Witness to the March of People Protesting No More Deportation of Immigrants ‘

#AceWorldNews – WASHINGTON DC – April 06 – RT reports that several hundred activists marched through the streets of Washington, DC on Saturday, demanding an end to immigrant deportations, Ruptly reports.

The marchers chanted slogans such as “Up education, down deportation” as they made their way along a route which ended outside the White House.

The protest, organized by NotOneMoreDeportation.com, aims to tackle what it believes is an unreasonably harsh US deportation policy, which has seen over two million people removed from the United States under the Obama administration.

Thousands of immigrants and their supporters also rallied in more than 80 other cities across the US.

Obama To Military Heads: Support Me Or Resign

When I showed you all this website: http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2013/09/american-military-refusing-to-fight-for-al-qaeda-in-syria-pictures-2752748.html I got a lot of grief. I have it Obama 100% told his Military to go to Syria and they refused, I stick by the source and the story. So what is happening? Has Obama’s men turned their backs? Well he sure is firing a LOT of people right?

In a meeting with the heads of the five service branches in 2010, President Obama offered the leaders a choice: Support my efforts to end the military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, or resign, the Commandant of the Coast Guard said.

In a video obtained by BuzzFeed via a Freedom of Information Act request, Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Robert Papp revealed that Obama was unwilling to compromise with service leaders over DADT during a meeting in 2010. “We were called into the Oval Office and President Obama looked all five service chiefs in the eye and said, ‘This is what I want to do.’ I cannot divulge everything he said to us, that’s private communications within the Oval Office, but if we didn’t agree with it — if any of us didn’t agree with it — we all had the opportunity to resign our commissions and go do other things,” he said.

Papp talked about the meeting during a Q&A session with U.S. Coast Guard Academy cadets following a leadership address to the corps on Jan 8. The admiral was asked how officers should respond to policies that they disagreed with but were required to enforce. “If I disagree morally with [a policy], it’s my obligation to voice that, regardless of the risk it might give my career,” he said. “I’ve been in those situations. I’ve been fortunate to have good leaders that have appreciated that.” Using himself as an example, Papp said it was OK for leaders to “not be thrilled” with a certain regulation, but if they didn’t “see anything terribly wrong with it,” it was their job as officers to support and enforce it.

The admiral, who will be retiring from active duty on May 30, added that he thought the U.S. military made the right decision by abolishing DADT.

Ins 2008 interview, then-Senator Obama told The Advocate that he wouldn’t make support of DADt’s repeal “a litmus test” for his military leaders. “What I want are members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who are making decisions based on what strengthens our military and what is going to make us safer, not ideology.”

Obamacare ~ just 858,000 newly insured Americans have paid up!

‘The debate over repealing this law is over’: Obama boasts 7.1 MILLION have signed up to Obamacare – but study shows just 858,000 newly insured Americans have paid up!

President took a major victory lap and took political shots at Republicans, but ignored shortcomings in his administration’s official numbers

Press secretary Jay Carney will only say ‘we’re aggregating a lot of data’ when asked how many enrollees have paid for coverage

Carney dodged questions about damning study that showed very few Obamacare customers were uninsured before the law took effect

Percentages from a hush-hush RAND Corporation study suggest barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans have enrolled and paid premiums

HHS Secretary Sebelius met a televised challenge Monday about ‘unpopular’ Obamacare with lengthy awkward silence

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America’s health care system ‘a lot better’ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night. Barack Obama spoke about Affordable Care Act enrollment totals at the White House but took no questions, as Vice President Joe Biden stood by wordlessly and applauded an ebullient Jay Carney, fresh from greeting his hometown world-champion Boston Red Sox, bragged about the administration’s signup totals — but hid the ball on thorny questions that could unravel the celebration

Others were already insured, including millions who lost coverage when their existing policies were suddenly cancelled because they didn’t meet Obamacare’s strict minimum requirements. Still, he claimed that ‘millions of people who have health insurance would not have it’ without his insurance law.’ ’The goal we’ve set for ourselves – that no American should go without the health care they need … is achievable,’ Obama declared. The president took no questions from reporters, but celebrated the end of a rocky six-month open-enrollment period by taking pot shots at Republicans who have opposed the law from the beginning as a government-run seizure of one-seventh of the U.S. economy. ’The debate over repealing this law is over,’ he insisted. ‘The Affordable Care Act is here to stay. ’We could not have done it without them, and they should be proud of what they’ve done,’ Obama boasted, in a clear nod to November’s contentious elections in which Republicans are expected to make large gains on an anti-Obamacare platform because of the law’s general lack of popularity.

‘In the end,’ he warned the GOP, ‘history is not kind to those who would deny Americans their basic economic security. … That’s what the Affordable Care Act represents.’ ‘“The bottom line is this,’ said Obama: ‘The share of Americans with insurance is up, and the growth in the cost of insurance is down. There’s no good reason to go back.’ Republicans will differ with that assessment as Election Day nears. They need to gain a net total of six Senate seats in order to reclaim the majority and control both houses of Congress, a goal that appears reachable since two-thirds of the seats being contested are held by Democratic incumbents. No national political analyst has predicted a Democratic takeover of the House of Representatives. White House press secretary Jay Carney stopped short of saying ‘I told you so,’ but chided a sparse press corps in the briefing room at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for ever doubting that the Obamacare system would enroll more than 7 million Americans.

` Obama’s Administration more often than ever ` Censored Government Files ‘or outright Denied Access ‘

#AceWorldNews WASHINGTON (AP) – The Obama administration more often than ever censored government files or outright denied access to them last year under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, according to a new analysis of federal data by The Associated Press.

The administration cited more legal exceptions it said justified withholding materials and refused a record number of times to turn over files quickly that might be especially newsworthy.

Most agencies also took longer to answer records requests, the analysis found.

` White House has withheld over 9,000 top-secret documents from `Senate Investigation ‘ of the CIA Detention and Torture Program ‘

#AceWorldNews For the last five years, the White House has withheld over 9,000 top-secret documents from a Senate investigation of the CIA’s former detention and torture program. The report comes one day after the CIA was accused of interfering in the probe.

Though the White House has publicly supported the investigation into Bush-era torture, the Obama administration has routinely rejected requests by the Select Senate Committee on Intelligence to see the records, McClatchy news service reported Wednesday.

It is not clear how substantial the documents are for the investigation, yet the White House has shielded them without wielding the claim of executive privilege that has been used often by the Obama and George W. Bush administrations to cover CIA and other government secrets following the attacks of September 11, 2001.

The White House told McClatchy a “small percentage” of the 6.2 million pages of documents given to the Committee were “set aside because they raise executive branch confidentiality interests.” The White House added that it had worked with the Committee “to ensure access to the information necessary to review the CIA’s former program.”

Neither the CIA nor the Committee would offer comment to McClatchy.
