(WASHINGTON) LATEST: As is well known, the monstrous regiment of anti-Israel “activists” – BDSers, antifa fanatics, Muslim infiltrators at Black Lives Matter rallies – have been attempting to blame Israel for the death of George Floyd saying knee-on-neck method of restraint came from Israeli police training #AceNewsDesk report

#AceNewsReport – June.19: Shortly after Floyd’s death, the Democratic Socialists of America’s BDS national working group tweeted, “The police violence happening tonight in Minneapolis is straight out of the IDF playbook,” adding, “US cops train in Israel.” A pro-BDS petition to the University of California made similar claims: Al-Awda, the Palestine Right of Return Coalition, a BDS group that has ties to terrorist groups in the Middle East, issued a statement on June 8 that featured a cartoon showing an American police officer and an Israeli soldier, arm-in-arm, sitting with their knees over the necks of a black man and a Palestinian man respectively. The cartoon appeared first on the Fatah Facebook page and was then published in the Palestinian Authority (PA) newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadida. That wasn’t all

Israel, Blamed for George Floyd’s Death, Replies to Its Calumniators

“We must stop training our American police officers to be gestapo units. #GeorgeFloyd #Palestine,” tweeted Abbas Hamideh of the same Al-Awda. Similarly, the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights and a student leader in Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) also blamed Israel for the police tactics, claiming that “the Israeli military trains US police in racist and repressive policing tactics, which systematically targets Black and Brown bodies.” Israel, of course, does no such thing. And the American police who have gone to Israel for training can testify to that effect: Others in the anti-Israel universe have chimed in with similar charges. For many, the death of George Floyd by Derek Chauvin, who never attended any training sessions conducted by Israeli law enforcement, should nonetheless be blamed on Israel, that mighty colonial-settler empire that now bestrides the world like a colossus. No need for evidence. Just make the charge. Repeat it enough and it’s bound to stick. And so, in the great tradition of Linda Sarsour, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Nihad Awad and so many others, the anti-Israel charges came fast and furious at so many of those George-Floyd-Black-Lives-Matter rallies. On many signs the slogan reads: “From Minneapolis to Palestine/Racism is a Crime.”

Still others claimed in the same vein that “We know the Minneapolis police were also trained by Israeli counter-terrorism officers” (not the regular police), according to a ferociously anti-Israel pro-BDS petition at the University of California, signed by dozens of campus groups. It said: “The knee-to-neck choke-hold that Chauvin used to murder George Floyd has been used and perfected to torture Palestinians by Israeli occupation forces through 72 years of ethnic cleansing and dispossession. Police departments view Israeli Defense Force tactics as models for responding to ‘public health and safety crises.”…………….The Israelis were not about to let those calumnies go unanswered.

The story is at Algemeiner.com: An Israel Police spokesperson appeared to push back on Tuesday [June 9] against efforts by some activists in far-left circles to blame the Jewish state for police brutality in the US: Charges that certain tactics — including the knee-to-neck restraint move that led to George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis two weeks ago — were taught to American law enforcement personnel by Israeli counterparts have been circulating online recently.

It was time to state the truth: There are many thousands of national, state, and local police forces around the world, in Europe (France) in South America (Brazil and a dozen others countries), in Asia (India, China), and of course in the United States, that use the knee-on-neck chokehold, all without any input or training from Israel: On June 9 Israeli Police foreign media spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld tweeted, “There is no procedure that allows an officer of the #israel police dept to carry out an arrest by placing a knee on the neck of a suspect.”

“None of police Counter terrorism training that #Israel national police provide to foreign law enforcement officers involves such a measure,” he added: These were definitive statements. There is “no procedure” that allows an Israeli police officer “to place a knee on the neck of a suspect.”……………The Israelis do not permit their own officers to use such a chokehold……………………They do not train others in how to perform such a chokehold…………….Period. End of story. No wiggle-room was left in that answer by Micky Rosenfeld…………………………….But who will listen to him or to any other defender of Israel when Antifa and BDSers and Palestinian propagandists still manage to shout down those who tell the truth, while they continue to scream their nonsense and lies?

ISRAEL: ‘ HOPES PALESTINIANS WILL RETURN TO NEGOTIATING TABLE ‘

#AceWorldNews – ISRAEL:Dec.18 – Israel hopes the Palestinians come back to the negotiating table, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said on Thursday.

“Only through negotiations is it possible to achieve a comprehensive solution,” Reuters quoted him as saying in Prague.

He earlier described as a gimmick a Palestinian-proposed UN Security Council draft resolution that calls for a peace deal within a year.

The Palestinians also want an end to the occupied territories by the end of 2017.

PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY: ‘ UN Security Council Members Vote Seven Out of Nine to Force Ballot to End Occupation ‘

#AceNewsServices – BETHLEHEM – October 13 – A senior Palestinian Official said Monday that the Palestinian Authority has mustered the support of seven of nine UN Security Council members needed to bring to a vote its resolution that would force an Israeli withdrawal to the pre-1967 lines by November 2016.

Speaking in an interview with the Bethlehem-based Ma’an News Agency, Sha’ath said, “We are at the stage of lobbying within the Security Council to get nine or more votes.”
Sha’ath said that the PA was facing opposition to the move from the US, who was not only threatening to veto the resolution should it be brought to a vote, but also was urging other Security Council members to oppose the resolution and push back a vote on the measure until after US midterm elections in November.

Abbas announced on October 1 that he had submitted the draft resolution to the Security Council. “We have submitted a draft resolution to the Security Council who started consultations a few days ago and will continue for three weeks, perhaps longer, until we receive an answer,” Abbas told a PLO meeting in Ramallah.

The resolution calls for “the full withdrawal of Israel ... from all of the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, as rapidly as possible and to be fully completed within a specified time-frame, not to exceed November 2016.”

GAZA STRIP: ‘ Hamas Building and Recruiting Militia Security Force Codenamed the Popular Army ‘

#AceNewsServices – GAZA STRIP – October 08 – Palestinian sources said Hamas has been recruiting a militia force that would maintain regime protection, as a local security force.

' HAMAS Builds a New Security Force in GAZA '

‘ HAMAS Builds a New Security Force in GAZA ‘

They said the militia, trained in light weapons, was meant to free Hamas’ military wing from engaging with civilians.

“Hamas is following the Iranian model in which plain clothes forces are used to quell dissent,” a source said.

The sources said the New Hamas force was dubbed the Popular Army.

' Izzedin Kassam Brigades '

‘ Izzedin Kassam Brigades ‘

They said the so-called army was meant to work with Izzedin Kassam Brigades, which directed the Hamas war against Israel in July and August 2014.

The force, meant to contain thousands of members, has been recruited by Hamas in wake of the 50-day war. The sources said Hamas officers were organizing militia units in every major city and town in the Gaza Strip.

The sources said the Popular Army was meant to protect Hamas’ interests should the Palestinian Authority take over the Gaza Strip.

' Iran’s Basij Security Force '

‘ Iran’s Basij Security Force ‘

They said the army was modelled after Iran’s Basij, a force of students sworn to defend the Teheran regime.

Hamas launched recruitment in Gaza mosques within days of the end of the Gaza war on Aug. 26. By the end of September, Hamas claimed that thousands age 16 and over already joined the Popular Army.

“This force will be assigned specific missions in case of another war with the occupation [Israel],” a Hamas military official, identified only as Abu Jafar, said.

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM: ‘ Confiscating Apartments Belonging to Jerusalem Residents and Giving Them to Settlers ‘

#AceNewsServices – October 07 – Israel has used all kinds of methods, ranging from claims of security concerns to legal pretexts such as the absentees property law, to confiscate apartments belonging to Jerusalem residents and give them to settlers.

The latest method used to take over dozens of apartments in the Silwan neighborhood was sale contracts through intermediaries. Overnight, these apartments became the property of Israeli settlers.

Ramallah:

On September 30, the town of Silwan located south of al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem witnessed an attack by settlers through a legal pretext. Israeli Economy Minister Naftali Bennett called it a “historic achievement,” as Israel seized 26 residential apartments in eight buildings in the town.

Although Israeli settlers entered these vacant apartments as though they were the owners, Israeli police escorted them throughout many neighbourhoods inside Silwan, resulting in confrontations with Jerusalem youth.

It is the first time that a seizure of apartments takes place on such a dramatic scale, which prompted the presidential spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rudeina, to describe it as “blatant Israeli aggression.”

But there was no other option for “the president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, but to resort to international organizations.”

UN SECURITY COUNCIL: ‘ Palestine Together with Arab Countries Prepare Draft Resolution Ending Israeli Occupation by November 2016 ‘

#AceNewsServices – UNITED NATIONS – October 2 – Palestine, together with Arab countries, has prepared a UN Security Council draft resolution that sets the deadline for ending the Israeli occupation — November 2016.

The document, a copy of which was received by TASS on Wednesday, urges Israel’s earliest withdrawal from all Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem.

The text of the bill states that Israeli withdrawal must happen “as rapidly as possible and to be fully completed within a specified time-frame, not to exceed November 2016, and the achievement of the independence and sovereignty of the State of Palestine and the right to self-determination of the Palestinian people.”

The draft resolution requests “all parties to abide by their obligations under international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949.” It also “demands an end to all Israeli military operations, reprisals, forced displacement of civilians, and all acts of violence and hostilities.”

The draft resolution urges the comprehensive settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict based on the UN resolutions, Madrid agreements, including the “land for peace” principle, the Arab peace initiative and the roadmap of the “quartet” of mediators for Middle East settlement.

CAIRO: ‘ Israeli and Palestinian Negotiator’s Agree to Extend Temporary Cease-Fire But Hamas Official Izzat al-Rishq Accuses Israel of Raising Demands ‘

#AceBreakingNews – GAZA CITY – August 19 – With the five day cease-fire due to end both Israeli and Palestinian negotiators agreed to extend a temporary ceasefire in Gaza by 24 hours on Monday night, as talks in Cairo struggled to secure a long-term deal to end the six-week conflict US Guardian reported.

Long negotiations ended late on Monday night with the Palestinian delegation claiming the two sides were still some way from an agreement, and hinting that the ceasefire would not be extended again if a lasting truce still could not be finalised on Tuesday.

"Until now there is no progress," said Azzam al-Ahmad, the chief Palestinian negotiator, as the previous five-day ceasefire ended at midnight.

"There are hidden voices who are trying to put obstacles in our way.

We have agreed on an extension for another day – just one day.

Whether we agree or not, just one day."

According to Haaretz the word is this will be the last cease-fire there will be no more stated Hamas. In a statement:

’ No more truce extensions after this, Hamas official says Izzat al-Rishq accuses Israel of raising demands that undermine Cairo talks ‘

The actual question is how much of this posturing will it take for someone to compromise.

GAZA CITY: ‘ Israel Calls Up Reservists As Temporary Truce Nears End ‘

#AceBreakingNews – GAZA CITY – August 13 – Latest – Hours Before Truce Ends Israel Reinforces Troops with Reservists Called Up.

Latest updates [Wednesday]:

6:06 P.M. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attacked the United Nation’s committee of inquiry into Operation Protective Edge in Gaza on Wednesday, at the end of his meeting with New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, who is in Israel for an official visit.

“The UN Human Rights Council gives legitimacy to murderous terror organizations like Hamas and the Islamic State. Instead of checking Hamas’ attacks on Israeli civilians and the use it makes of Gaza’s residents as human shields, instead of checking the massacre carried out by (President) Assad in Syria, or the massacre of Kurds by Islamic State members, the UN has decided to come and check Israel – the only democracy in the Middle East, a democracy that is acting in a legitimate manner to protect its citizens from murderous terror,” he said.

“The committee’s report has already been written, the head of the committee has already decided that Hamas is not a terror organization and so there is nothing for them to investigate there. First, they should visit Damascus, Baghdad, Tripoli, they should go to see the Islamic State, they should go to see the Syrian army, they should go and see Hamas. There, not here, they will find war crimes.” (Barak Ravid)

#AceWorldNews – GAZA CITY – August 11 – A 72-hour cease-fire agreed upon by Israel and Hamas took effect at midnight on Monday. Prior to the commencement of the cease-fire, officials said an Israeli delegation would travel to Cairo to continue indirect negotiations for a more permanent truce with Palestinian factions if the cease-fire was fully observed. Israel had previously announced it would not negotiate under fire.

The head of the Palestinian delegation, Azzam Ahmed, said Sunday that unless Israel agreed to return to Egyptian-mediated talks without pre-conditions, the delegation would leave Cairo.

Israel struck more than 25 targets in the Gaza Strip on Sunday and some 60 the day before. Rocket fire from Gaza toward Israeli communities in the surrounding areas and cities as far north as Tel Aviv persisted until minutes before the cease-fire was to begin.

PROTECTIVE EDGE DAY 21: ‘ Fighting, Missiles, Rockets and Gaza’s Main Hospital and Refugee Camp Gets Hit Killing at Least 10 and Injuring Dozens ‘

#AceBreakingNews – GAZA CITY – July 28 – Missiles or rockets struck within yards of Gaza’s main hospital and a nearby refugee camp Monday, leaving at least 10 dead and dozens more wounded.

The Israeli military denied initial reports that its forces were responsible for the strikes, saying instead that the bombing was the result of rockets misfired by Palestinian militants — while Hamas cast blame back at Israel.

The explosion near Shifa Hospital around 5 p.m. local time (10 a.m. ET) caused some damage to the outpatient clinic, according to witnesses including an NBC News crew on the ground in the area.

Two people were injured at the hospital, according to medical officials.

Fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants continued Monday despite a major Muslim holiday and a resolution passed in the United Nations Security Council calling for an “immediate and unconditional” cease-fire in the Middle Eastern region.

USA Today reports that Ayman Sahabani, the head of the emergency room at Shifa Hospital, reported dozens were injured in the blast at the park in the Shati refugee hospital. Several more people were injured when the hospital was struck.

Sahabani and Gaza police blamed Israeli missiles for the incident, while Israeli Defense Forces blamed Hamas. On its blog, IDF wrote, “Al-Shifa Hospital and Al-Shati Refugee Camp were struck by failed rocket attacks launched by Gaza Terrorists.”

The Associated Press notes that the Gaza park attack happened while children played on a swing in the refugee camp on the edge of Gaza City. Sahabani told the news agency that nine of the 10 people killed at the park were children under the age of 12. He added that 46 people were wounded in that incident.

GAZA CITY: ' Israel "NEVER REGRETS VIOLATING INTERNATIONAL LAW" Political Analyst States '

#AceWorldNews – GAZA CITY – July 27 – Israel never regrets violating the international law and is going ahead with its barbaric war on the Gaza Strip as the Tel Aviv regime enjoys all-out support of the United States, a political analyst tells Press TV.

Mark Weber, director of the Institute for Historical Review, said in a Saturday interview with Press TV that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “has shown that he is willing to utterly defy world opinion in carrying out this extremely one-sided barbaric attack on Gaza.”

“This outrage has angered public opinion around the world,” he stated, adding that Israel has for long proved that it will act “in defiance…even of United States law because they can count on the continuing support of US Congress and the US government, which is a reflection of course of the tremendous power of the pro-Israel lobby here in the United States.”

The analyst predicted that the Gaza carnage will continue mainly due to the US support for Israel.

“This shows really…the moral bankruptcy of US policy worldwide and in particular of course in the Middle East.”

Death toll from Israeli attacks on Gaza has reached 1,050 since Tel Aviv began its onslaught on July 8.

Thousands of Palestinians have also been injured in the attacks.

‘ Day SIX of Protective Edge and Thousands of Residents Flee Gaza City As Ground Troops Cross Border Killing Palestinians in their Hundreds While The WEST Watches ‘

#AceWorldNewsGAZA CITY — Thousands of residents fled northern Gaza on Sunday at the urging of the Israeli military as its ground troops briefly crossed the border on a mission to destroy a launching site.

The tumult came as the death toll from Israel’s six-day Operation Protective Edge offensive rose to more than 160, with more than 1,000 injured, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

“Civilians are requested to evacuate their residences immediately for their own safety,” the Israeli leaflets dropped by air warned. They listed specific areas that would “prove to be most dangerous.”

Israeli airstrikes hit more than 200 homes and buildings across Gaza on Sunday. Despite calls from the United Nations and world leaders, there were no signs the two sides will agree to a cease-fire soon.

“We don’t know when the operation will end,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a Cabinet meeting Sunday. “It might take a long time.”

Nasr Kafarna, 43, a farmer in northern Gaza who lives near the border, says he has been on edge for the past week. After Israeli troops crossed into Gaza early Sunday, he fears for the worst.

“I worry this is all-out war now,” he said. “We haven’t recovered from the last one – we aren’t ready for another one.”

The Israeli military announced that four soldiers had been lightly wounded during a brief incursion to destroy a rocket launching site in northern Gaza.

It is the first time that Israeli ground troops are known to have entered Gaza in the current offensive. But the operation was carried out by special forces and did not appear to be the beginning of a broad ground offensive.

Earlier, as international calls for a cease-fire ramped up, Israel military warned residents of northern Gaza to evacuate “for their own safety.”

In a statement Saturday, the Israeli military said it would send messages to northern Gaza residents overnight to leave their homes as Israel planned to hit the area with heavy force in the next 24 hours, according to Brig. Gen. Motti Almoz, chief military spokesman.

“We are going to attack there with great force in the next 24 hours due to a very large concentration of Hamas efforts in that area,” he said.

On Sunday, Palestinians with foreign passports began leaving Gaza through the Erez border crossing.

Israel, which is cooperating in the evacuation, says 800 Palestinians living in Gaza have passports from countries including Australia, the United Kingdom and the U.S.

‘ Protective Edge and Iron Dome Against Palestinian Militant ‘

#AceWorldNews – PALESTINE (Gaza Strip) – July 11 – The Palestinian radicals from the Gaza Strip have fired more than 550 rockets on Israel over four days of the military operation Protective Edge in the Palestinian enclave, the press service of the Israeli army reported.

According to the report, 119 of them were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defence system. According to local media reports, about 100 rockets have been fired on Israeli cities over the past day alone.

The cities of Haifa, Hadera and Zichron Ya’akov located at a distance of 100 to 125 kilometres from the border with the Gaza Strip were also shelled during the night.

The Palestinian movement HAMAS claimed responsibility for the attack.

Over the past four days, Israel’s business capital Tel-Aviv with a population of 400 thousand has been six times attacked by rocket fire from Gaza.

Rockets have fallen twice in Jerusalem with a population of 800 thousand.

On Wednesday and Thursday, radicals from Gaza fired rockets towards the Israeli nuclear complex in Dimona.

There have been no reports about casualties caused by these attacks.
