The toll includes a leader of the Bahamas Faith Ministries Pastor, Myles Munroe who was headed for Grand Bahama International Airport from Lynden Pindling International Airport when jet crashed on approach.
Authorities said plane exploded on impact with a crane at the Grand Bahama Ship Yard and plunged into a junk-yard below.
#AceWorldNews – VENEZUELA – November 04 – Venezuela’s Air Force has shot down a plane over the western state of Apure on the border with Colombia, the country’s defence minister said on his Twitter account:
“It is the wreckage of a King-200 type plane that trespassed into our airspace and was shot down by the personnel of the strategic command of the Bolivarian Armed Forces southeast of Elorza, in the Apure state,” Gen. Vladimir Padrino Lopez wrote, posting a photo of the wreckage.
In 2012, Venezuela’s National Assembly approved a law which allows the Bolivarian National Air Force to intercept and disable aircraft violating national air space regulations.
#AceWorldNews – PAKISTAN – October 12 – Three senior Iranian police officers were among seven people killed in a plane crash after a police turbo-propeller aircraft went down in the restive Sistan-Baluchistan province, which borders Pakistan, local media reported.
The highest-ranking officer was the deputy of Iran’s police inspectorate.
The officers were heading from Tehran to the provincial area of Zahedan to investigate a series of attacks on security forces this week.
The reports said the plane was not shot down but investigators cannot rule out the possibility.
#AceBreakingNews – IRAN (Tehran) – August 10 – An Iranian regional passenger plane crashed Sunday while taking off from the capital, Tehran, killing 48 people on-board, state media reported.
The aircraft, an Iran-140 typically used for short domestic flights, crashed near Tehran’s Mehrabad airport, Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency reported.
The plane went down in a residential area after its engine went out, the agency reported.
#AceWorldNews says that a `Nepal Airlines Plane’ carrying 15 passengers, including one infant, and three crew members went missing on Sunday afternoon shortly after taking off from a popular tourist resort, police and airline officials said.
Nepal police spokesman KC Ganesh told AFP that the Nepal Airlines plane took off from Pokhara airport at 1:30 pm and disappeared 15 minutes later.
“One of the passengers is from Denmark,” spokesman Ram Hari Sharma told AFP. “The rest of the passengers are from Nepal.
The airline has alerted police to find the plane’s location” and is “preparing for rescue operations,” Sharma said.
The state-owned aircraft was travelling from Pokhara to the town of Jumla, 353 kilometers (220 miles) west of the capital Kathmandu, when air traffic controllers lost contact with the cockpit.
