UNITED STATES: ‘ PROTESTS BECOME RIOTS AFTER BLACK & WHITES ON BLACKS BY WHITES ‘

#AceNewsServices – Dec.07 – This is my featured post of riots in parts of the US whereby nothing is achieved by violence, except more people die, get injured and the government tightens restrictions on the people.

ny-protests

‘Starting with two police officers were injured as a California last night in a protest over police killings ‘

Starting with two police officers were injured in California last night in a protest over police killings as it turned violent with protesters smashing windows and throwing rocks and bricks at police, who responded by firing tear gas, authorities it was reported.

Several officers were struck, but there were just two reports of injury, Berkeley police spokeswoman Jenn Coats said.

A Berkeley police officer received hospital treatment for a dislocated shoulder after being hit with a sandbag, while another sustained minor injuries.

' Signs of How People Feel '

‘ Signs of How People Feel ‘

These types of protests are becoming all to common as was witnessed recently with protests after a white police officer was freed after killing a black teenager, in Ferguson

'Protest over police acquittal in homeless beating case turns violent '

‘Protest over police acquittal in homeless beating case turns violent ‘

Even as early as this year a protest over the acquittal of two former California police officers in the beating death of a homeless man turned violent Saturday, with 13 arrests and the assault of a TV camerawoman, police said.

Though history repeats its self and time comes all too regularly when groups of youths and down trodden people decide to take the law into their own hands. This has happened all too often and events such as riots in 2013 attest as such.

'Monday's acquittal of two former Fullerton officers in the 2011 death of Kelly Thomas '

‘Monday’s acquittal of two former Fullerton officers in the 2011 death of Kelly Thomas ‘

Or may we could back further to these riots in 2011 whereby the protest against Monday’s acquittal of two former Fullerton officers in the 2011 death of Kelly Thomas drew about 200 people, police Sgt. Jeff Stuart said.

He said most of the protesters were peaceful, but some took over intersections, blocked streets and vandalized business.

Video broadcast by KCBS-TV showed one person whose face was partly covered by a bandanna striking the camerawoman. She fled into her news van, and her crew called 911 when a group surrounded the vehicle, Stuart said.

' Protests over BART shooting turn violent '

‘ Protests over BART shooting turn violent ‘

Or this protest in 2009 over the fatal shooting by a BART police officer of an unarmed man mushroomed into several hours of violence Wednesday night as demonstrators smashed storefronts and cars, set several cars ablaze and blocked streets in downtown Oakland.

The roving mob expressed fury at police and frustration over society’s racial injustice. Yet the demonstrators were often indiscriminate, frequently targeting the businesses and prized possessions of people of color.

They smashed a hair salon, a pharmacy and several restaurants. Police in riot gear tried to control the crowd, but some people retreated along 14th Street and bashed cars along the way.

The mob smashed the windows at Creative African Braids on 14th Street, and a woman walked out of the shop holding a baby in her arms.

“This is our business,” shouted Leemu Topka, the black owner of the salon she started four years ago. “This is our shop. This is what you call a protest?”

Wednesday night’s vandalism victims had nothing to do with the shooting death by a BART police officer of Oscar Grant on New Year’s Day – but that did little to sway the mob.

All these riots took place in parts of the US and they were all racially led, black and whites on blacks by whites, if you get my drift.

‘ OBAMA TO ANNOUNCE RIGOROUS NEW STANDARDS TO END RACIAL PROFILING ‘

#AceWorldNews – WASHINGTON – Dec.02 – US Attorney General Eric Holder vowed to introduce “rigorous new standards” for federal law enforcement“to help end racial profiling, once and for all,” as a group of protesters interrupted his speech in Atlanta on Monday.

The announcement will be made “in the coming days,” as the Obama administration tries to calm nationwide protests over the events in Ferguson.

Racial profiling by federal law enforcement was outlawed in 2003, but it applied only to national security cases and did not limit officers from discriminating based on other factors.

DETROIT: ‘ POLICE ARREST FIVE PROTESTERS TRYING TO WALK INTO THE 1-94 FREEWAY ‘

#AceWorldNews – DETROIT – Nov.26 – Detroit Police arrested five people protesting the Ferguson, Mo., decision late Tuesday for trying to walk into the I-94 freeway Freep reported.

Detroit Police Sgt. Michael Woody said the arrests came around 9:30 p.m. Names were not available.

In a confrontation on Detroit’s east side, protesters were shouting “Let them go” at police.

In a city with its own history of racial tensions, the Tuesday night marches were among several in Detroit as angry and anxious voices called for justice in the shooting death of a teenager in Ferguson, Mo.

Outraged over the grand jury’s decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, protesters gathered in half a dozen spots in Detroit throughout the day, with one group shutting down the northbound I-75 highway for a few minutes during rush-hour traffic.
