Kim Yong Nam believes the Ukrainian crisis “must be settled in a peaceful way, on the basis of principles of equality and national self-determination”. Trutnev, who is also the Russian president’s envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, thanked the North Korean official for his principled position on the issue.

#AceWorldNews – PYONGYANG – April 09 – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is elected as first Chairman of the North Korean State Defence Committee at a session of the Supreme People’s Assembly, the country’s parliament, in the North Korean capital on Wednesday. This decision “reflects common will of servicemen and people of North Korea,” KCNA news agency reported.
Former North Korean leader Kim Jong Il who died in December 2011 was named as perpetual Chairman of the State Defence Committee.
#AceWorldNews says that North Korea’s Supreme leader Kim Jong-Un received 100 percent of the votes from his constituency in a parliamentary poll, showing the “people’s absolute support and profound trust,” North’s official KCNA news agency said.
He ran uncontested in elections to the Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA), which are held every 5 years. Each of the nearly 700 constituencies had only one state-sponsored candidate on the ballot.
Kim can now add parliamentary deputy to his list of accolades, which also include Supreme Commander of the armed forces and chairman of the powerful National Defence Commission.

People’s Assembly and was accompanied by military politburo chief Choe Ryong-hae, deputy directors of the Workers Party, Kim Kyong-ok and Hwang Pyong-so, and “Comrade Kim Yeo-jong.
The word “comrade” means that 26-year-old Kim Yeo-jong secured a place in the Workers Party above deputy director.
