#AceNewsReport – July.09: The crash is thought to have happened as the plane was taking off: It’s a very severe accident,” Swedish police said on their website. “Everyone on board the crashed plane has died.”
SWEDEN: Skydivers killed in plane crash that was carrying eight skydivers and a pilot when it crashed close to the runway at Orebro airport, about 160km (100 miles) west of Stockholm, on Thursday.
The small propeller plane, a DHC-2 Beaver, had been rented by a local skydiving club for a summer event, local media reported.
FINLAND: Viking Sally: Suspect accused of 1987 Finland ferry murder is acquitted after the 52-year-old was accused of killing Klaus Schelkle, 20, and attempting to murder his girlfriend Bettina Taxis on the cruise ship travelling from Sweden to Finland in July 1987 and this case remains one of the longest unsolved murders in Finnish history according to BBC News
Reuters: The Danish man, pictured here in the blue suit, was identified in court as Herman H ……..He was acquitted by judges in the city of Turku on Wednesday.
Last year, police arrested the Danish suspect, who at the time of the attack was an 18-year-old scout and a passenger on the Viking Sally, after new information came to light.
At the beginning of the trial in May, prosecutors alleged that the man – identified in court only as Herman H – had earlier confessed to attacking the two German students. They said he should be sentenced to life in prison.

However, the suspect denied all charges, and his defence lawyers said that any such comments did not prove his guilt.
The judges dismissed the prosecution’s case, stating that the alleged confession did not mean that the defendant’s guilt could be “considered proven or even probable”.
They ruled that earlier police interviews with the suspect were also inadmissible as evidence.
A further setback for the prosecution was the refusal of a key witness – the defendant’s former wife – to give evidence at the trial.
The judges said that the prosecution had failed to prove that the defendant had the motive and was the only person on board the ship who had the opportunity to commit the crime.
The court ordered the Finnish state to pay the defendant €3,000 (£2,575) in compensation.
In the 1987 attack, Mr Schelkle was bludgeoned to death and his girlfriend was severely injured as the couple slept on the outer deck of the ship.
Prosecutors said a hammer-like weapon was used and thrown overboard. The weapon was never found.
#AceNewsReport – June.22: The vote was initiated by the small Left Party, an ally of the minority government that is not in the two-party centre-left coalition but had provided votes to pass the government’s legislation:
STOCKHOLM: PM Stefan Lofven, Social Democratic prime minister since 2014, lost a confidence vote in parliament on Monday amid a housing crisis and skyrocketing real estate prices, making him the first Swedish government leader ever to lose such a motion.
Posted Yesterday at 3:00pm, updated Yesterday at 8:22pm
The Left Party said it had lost confidence in the government over a proposal to abolish rent controls
Sweden’s last election produced a hung parliament and a minority government
Under Sweden’s constitution, Mr Lofven has a week to either call an early election or ask the parliament’s speaker to choose a new government
The vote was 181-109 in favour of a motion that confidence had been lost in Mr Lofven, and there were 51 abstentions.
The Left Party said it lost confidence in Mr Lofven over a proposal to abolish rent controls on newly built properties.
Sweden has strict regulations on rents aimed at maintaining affordable prices in larger cities.
However, this acts as a disincentive for property developers building new homes for the rental market.
People needing to rent a home can find themselves waiting for years for a contract, and buying property is increasingly hard amid soaring home prices.
However, the Left Party fears that deregulating the rental market will lead to rapid price increases and deeper segregation between rich and poor.
It is unclear what will happen next in Sweden.
Under the Swedish constitution, the prime minister has one week to decide whether to call an early election or ask the parliament’s speaker to find a new government.
After the vote, Mr Lofven, 63, said that “regardless of what happens, I and my party will be available to shoulder the responsibility for leading the country.”
“My focus has and will always be to do the best for Sweden,” he added.
“I want to take some time, not necessarily the whole week, but the time required for us to get a carefully selected line. This is very serious for Sweden,” he said.
Over the weekend, Mr Lofven held last-minute meetings seeking to secure a majority in parliament for his proposed rent reforms.
On Sunday, he sought to soften the reforms by inviting landlords and tenant organisations for talks.
However, Left Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar said the party was standing by its decision to oppose Mr Lofven and said his effort was “a political show.”
“We have done something that is perceived as unusual in politics … kept our word,” she said.
An unlikely alliance to oust the PM
The Left Party’s initiative was supported by the three other parties, including the Sweden Democrats, a right-wing populist party which the mainstream parties generally refuse to cooperate with because they consider it extreme.
The Sweden Democrats made huge gains in an election in September 2018 to become the country’s third-largest party — a showing that was attributed to a backlash against largescale migration.
In 2015, Sweden, with a population of 10 million, took in a record 163,000 refugees – the highest per capita of any European country.
That election produced a hung parliament, with the left-leaning side and the centre-right bloc securing about 40 per cent of the vote each, leaving neither with a majority.
In January 2019, Swedish lawmakers approved Mr Lofven’s minority government, ending a four-month political deadlock when he won support from two centre-right parties to form a minority government.
In 2014, Mr Lofven brought the Social Democrats, a centre-left party, back to power in Sweden after having been in opposition since 2006.
SWEDEN: Police commissioner acknowledges that mass migration is linked to surge in fatal shootings by Chris Tomlinson, Breitbart, June 2, 2021:
This isn’t the first time Nord has spoken out. He was labelled “racist” last year after saying that foreign criminals “do not belong in Sweden,” even though Gothenburg has seen a violent crime surge because “gangs of Syrian migrants along with Afghani and Somali migrants have repeatedly clashed over drug sales.”
Most police personnel in Sweden who work in or around Muslim migrant-dominated areas want to quit their jobs. In September of last year, Sweden’s Prime Minister flatly rejected the deputy national police chief Mats Löfving’s claim that gang crime is related to mass migration, even though it is.
Over in France, police in a Muslim no-go zone have similar problems. One policeman in the no-go zone of Montpellier declared: “‘You only have to move somewhere else’ or go vigilante.”
Police Commissioner Erik Nord has acknowledged that mass migration is linked to the surge in fatal shootings in Sweden after a report noted Sweden was the only European country seeing a rising trend of fatal gun violence.
Commissioner Nord, who heads the police in the Greater Gothenburg region, commented on the recent report from the Crime Prevention Council (Brå), saying that the trend was linked to gang violence and migrants.
“It is no longer a secret today that much of the problem of gang and network crime with the shootings and explosions have been linked to migration to Sweden in recent decades,” Nord wrote in an opinion article for the newspaper Goteborgs Posten.
“When, like me, you have the opportunity to follow matters at the individual level, you see that virtually everyone who shoots or is shot in gang conflicts originates from the Balkans, the Middle East, North or East Africa,” he said.
Nord claims that several factors have led to an increase in shootings, saying cultural differences play a major role.
He notes that while Germany has also seen a large number of migrants since the migrant crisis in 2015, the fatal gun violence rate in Germany is far lower than in Sweden. Nord attributes the difference to the lack of police per capita in Sweden compared to Germany.
“It may be that part of the explanation for the bleak development in Sweden stems from a too small-sized police force that for many years has built up a debt that is now manifesting itself in the form of deadly gun violence,” he said.
Nord’s comments come months after he was accused of being “racist” for stating that foreign criminals do not belong in Sweden….
#AceNewsReport – May.19: On Friday, Afghan migrant Tamim Sultani was charged in Eksjö District Court on suspicion of seven attempted murders. Samnytt has previously drawn attention to the fact that the judiciary has claimed in the media that there was no terrorist motive when Sultani stabbed the victims. Samnytt has taken note of the preliminary investigation protocol, in which it is clear that he worships Allah as he prays “every second,” and says that he would murder to punish a person who had insulted his god.
SWEDEN: ‘Muslim migrant stabs seven people while screaming ‘Allahu akbar’ because someone told him there was no god’
“Vetlanda terrorist’s motive: ‘One person said that Allah does not exist,’” translated from “Vetlanda-terroristens motiv: ‘En person sa att Allah inte finns,’” Samnytt, May 14, 2021:
On March 3, 22-year-old Tamim Sultani ran amok with a kitchen knife in central Vetlanda. A total of seven people were stabbed, several of them seriously. According to the testimony of one of the victims, Sultani allegedly shouted “Allahu akbar” in connection with his striking people.
Sultani would murder when someone violated Allah
District Attorney Adam Rullman has investigated the incident as an attempted murder. This is because he cannot see any reason to suspect it was terrorist crime. But despite the judiciary’s efforts since March to mitigate the perpetrator’s motives, the final result of the police investigation now shows that Sultani is a devout Muslim who prays “every minute and second” and committed the crimes because he felt provoked by someone offending Allah.
During a police interrogation, Sultani said that he knew that he would be deported to Afghanistan, but that this was not the reason for the attacks. Furthermore, it did not concern him that he would be deported, because he wanted to return. Sultani said that his motive for the knife attacks was religion.
Earlier in the day, Sultani had encountered an unknown person who stated that there is no god. Sultani could not accept that and decided to punish the person with death.
When the police conduct a house search, a copy of the Koran was found wrapped in cloth. Sultani says in interrogation that he “prays all the prayers.”
The police arrested Sultani by chance
In the police interrogation, Sultani also spoke about the situation when the police arrested him. According to Sultani, a police car came driving by and was about to pass him — but then he waved at the police.
– The police came very fast, driving very fast, and was about to drive past but I waved to the police that it was me. I waved that it was me, said Sultani in the interrogation.
One of the policemen on the car radio stated in the interrogation that Sultani waved and when they stopped, a bloody knife could be seen sticking out of his jacket sleeve. The policeman pulled out his service weapon against Sultani.
But Sultani refused to drop the knife on the policeman’s order. Instead, Sultani threatened to cut his own throat while chanting “Allahu akbar” on the spot. The policeman was finally forced to shoot Sultani.
Known: “He has lived in Russia and Iran”
In the police interrogation, acquaintances say that Sultani is a devout Muslim and that before he immigrated to Sweden as an Afghan refugee, he lived in Russia, and before that in the Iranian capital Tehran — this for a period of time somewhere between 10 and 20 years. Furthermore, an acquaintance says that Sultani must have had a job at a slaughterhouse and there learned how to slaughter with a knife.
The police chief: “The victims were in the wrong place – quite simply”
A couple of days after the bloody attacks in Vetlanda, Jonas Lindell, who is the local police area chief in the Highlands, went before the media to comment on what made the act possible.
– There are many indications that these victims were randomly selected. They were in the wrong place at the wrong time, quite simply, Lindell insisted. The statement met with harsh criticism, claiming that it was Sultani who was in the wrong place, not the victims.
The trial will be held in Eksjö District Court between May 21 and June 3.
#AceNewsReport – Apr.19: Around 675,000 migrants living in Sweden are either on welfare benefits or are not able to support themselves through the work they do have, according to statistics from the Swedish Parliamentary Investigative Service (RUT).
Around 675,000 Migrants in Sweden Not Self-Sufficient in Work, Receive State Benefits: The figures were highlighted in a recent detailed report on migration and integration presented by the centre-right Moderate Party that states the figure, which was recorded in 2019, means that a large section of the migrant population makes less than 186,000 Swedish Kronor (£15,890/$21,852) per year.
The report also cites another study by the Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum that revealed that between 1990 and 2016, it took migrants an average of four to five years to find a job and more than ten years for just half of new arrivals to find self-sufficient work.
When the figures are broken down by the nationality of recently arrived migrants, some perform especially poorly when it comes to self-sufficiency, such as Somalians who, according to the report, averaged a work income of just 100 Kronor (£8.54/$11.75) a month in 2019.
Syrians, who made up the majority of migrants who arrived during the 2015 Europe migrant crisis, saw an average 2019 work income of just under 4,000 Swedish Kronor (£341/$470) per month.
When separated by gender, the results are even worse for women, with over half of the women who came to Sweden from Somalia or Lebanon in the last nine years earning zero Swedish Kronor per month in 2019.
The statistics contained in the report match prior studies and reports that have revealed a much higher unemployment rate for migrants compared to native-born Swedes.
Many reasons have been cited for the high unemployment rate among migrants in Sweden, including reports that nearly half of unemployed migrants lack a high school education, compared to 18 per cent of unemployed native Swedes. Language barriers have also been cited.
A report from February of last year from the Swedish employment service revealed that just 6.1 per cent of new arrival migrants were able to find full-time work that was not subsidised by the Swedish government in 2019.
In October of last year, Swedish economics professor Johan Eklund criticised the Swedish government’s failure to integrate migrants who came during the 2015 migrant crisis, saying: “I am not prepared to point the finger in any direction about whose failure it is. But as an economist, I react to the fact that there are thousands of individuals of working age who have no income whatsoever.”
“This is a burden to society. The dependency on grants is a socio-economic cost. There is also the question of what happens to individuals who do not participate in society?” Eklund added.

“We salute the announcement by the Swedish prime minister,” said senior Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat in the West Bank administrative capital of Ramallah.
“We hope that all countries of the European Union will take the same courageous and remarkable decision… as there is no reason not to recognise the Palestinian state.”
#AceWorldNews – VILNIUS – April 01 – Two-day manoeuvres of the NATO Air Force with the participation of warplanes of Lithuania, the United States, Germany, as well as NATO partner – Sweden, have begun in Lithuania on Tuesday.
The Lithuanian Defence Ministry reported that the manoeuvres would focus on drilling search and rescue operations, as well as interaction of the Air Force with civil aviation.
The manoeuvres will be held at the military airfield of the Zokniai air base, as well as at Vilnius International Airport and at Palanga International Airport.
“The NATO Air Force manoeuvres demonstrate the alliance’s solidarity and readiness to fulfil the allied commitments.
They give an opportunity to Lithuanian military to improve their skills and interaction with the allies,” Lithuanian Defence Minister Juozas Olekas said.
#AceWorldNews says the United Nations Refugee Agency called on the international community Friday to make itself available to the 100,000 Syrian refugees who are desperate to find a new home outside their war-torn country.
There is an immediate need for 30,000 people but as the civil war surpasses the three year mark, “there will be increasing numbers of vulnerable Syrian refugees who will be in need of resettlement, relocation, and other forms of humanitarian assistance,” the UN said. Germany has offered to take in 11,500 Syrians,
With Canada (1,300), Sweden (1,200), Norway (1,000), and other countries also preparing to accept the refugees.
The United States, already the world’s top landing-place for refugees, has offered to take in an open-ended number of displaced Syrians.
