BAGHDAD: ‘ MILITANTS UNLEASH CAR BOMB ATTACKS ON SHIITE COMMUNITY IN WORST VIOLENCE FOR YEARS ‘

#AceWorldNews – IRAQ (Baghdad) – Militants unleashed attacks on Iraq’s majority Shiite community on Monday, killing at least 33 people, the latest in relentless assaults that have challenged the Shiite-led government as it battles the Sunni-led insurgency by the Islamic State group.

A suicide bomber hit a mosque in Baghdad as Shiite worshippers left after noon prayers, killing 17 people, while a triple car bombing in the holy city of Karbala killed 16.

Iraq has been plunged into its worst crisis since the U.S. troops left at the end of 2011 in the wake of the blitz by the Islamic State militants this summer.

The extremists group captured large chunks of land in western and northern Iraq, carving out a proto-state on the  territory it controls between Syria and Iraq and imposing its own harsh interpretation of Islamic law, or Shariah.

Since August, U.S. war-planes have been carrying-out air-strikes against the group as Iraqi and Kurdish security forces work to retake territory it has seized.

In Baghdad, the bomber blew himself up among Shiite worshippers as they were leaving a mosque in a commercial area in the city centre after midday prayers Monday, killing at least 17 people and wounding 28, a police officer said.

In Karbala, three separate car bombs went off simultaneously, killing at least 16 people and wounding 41, another police officer said.

The city, about 90 kilometres (55 miles) south of Baghdad, is home to the tombs of two most revered Shiite imams and the site of year-round pilgrimages.

The explosives-laden cars were parked in commercial areas and parking lots near government offices, the officer added.

Medical officials confirmed the casualty figures.

All officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to talk to media.

‘ BEDUOIN DOCTOR FROM ISRAEL KILLED WHILST FIGHTING FOR ISLAMIC STATE ‘

#AceNewsServices – October 19 – Arab media reported that a Beduin doctor from Israel had been killed while fighting with the terrorist group.

Doctor from Israel joined ranks of Islamic State, hospital confirms

Doctor from Israel joined ranks of Islamic State, hospital confirms

According to the statement released by Barzilai, Othman Abdal-Kian finished his medical degree in Jordan and began doing his residency at the hospital in Ashkelon in February after passing tests qualifying him to temporarily practice medicine in Israel.

He chose to do an elective month at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba which he was supposed to have started in May.

Abdal-Kian failed to show up at the hospital on the prescribed date and all contact with him was lost.

Security authorities questioned the hospital administration at Barzilai about Abdal-Kian’s tenure at the facility, informing them that he had foregone his medical career to join Islamic State forces.

Authorities believe that a small number of Israeli-Arabs have joined the ranks of the organization which has taken over large swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria through the use of brutal terror tactics.

TURKEY: ‘ Refugees Fleeing from the Onslaught of the Islamic State Sleep on the Streets ‘

#AceNewsServices – TURKEY (Suruc) – October 18 – When Islamic State jihadists launched a major offensive on the majority Kurdish town of Kobane in September, more than 180,000 people fled across the border into Turkey.

Local authorities struggled to cope with the influx at first, and thousands of refugees were forced to sleep on the streets of the Turkish border town of Suruc.

Now camps are being set up to provide shelter and other assistance.

With the borders closed and thousands unable to leave Kobane, VICE News visited one of six refugee camps in the town to find out how refugee families — some sharing tents with up to 14 other people — are coping with leaving their homes and livelihoods behind.

‘ Ali Khamenei Accuses Western Countries of Instigating a Rift Among Muslims by “Creating the ISIS in Iraq and Syria ‘

#AceNewsServices – UNITED STATES (New York) – October 18 – On the day before the most crucial round of Iran’s diplomatic talks with world powers on achieving a solution to the impasse of its nuclear program, Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei has found time again to bash the Western countries involved in the talks by accusing them of instigating a rift among Muslims by “creating the ISIS in Iraq and Syria.”

Behrooz Behbudi, Founder of the Centre for a Democratic Iran, Comments:

Behrooz Behbudi, Founder of the Centre for a Democratic Iran, Comments:

“The evil Britain has created the ISIS and al Qaeda to confront the Islamic republic of Iran and the Islamic awakening across the world,” Khamenei claimed in a speech on Monday.

Khamenei’s paranoia of “the enemy”

https://soundcloud.com/dr-behrooz-behbudi/khameneis-paranoia-of-the-enemy

“America, Zionism, and especially the veteran expert of spreading divisions – the wicked government of Britain – have sharply increased their efforts of creating divisions between the Sunnis and Shia,” he said.

The speech, marking the Shia Muslim religious holiday of Eid Al Ghadir, was posted on his website, where he has also published video footage showing his recovery from a recent prostate surgery.

The Centre for a Democratic Iran, a non-profit organisation whose mission is to promote and pursue an independent, peaceful and democratic Iran, followed these events with great interest.

CDI Founder, Behrooz Behbudi, offered his thoughts:

“In parallel with every foreign and domestic policy that the self-declared moderate administration of Hassan Rouhani has been taking to get Iran out of the socio-economic calamities that the eight years of Ahmadinejad rule has created, one can clearly see a deliberate hard-line policy by Khamenei to derail a return by Iran and the Iranians to peace and prosperity, however minimal given Rouhani’s allegiance to the regime.

However, Khamenei’s “radicalism” and ranting against Western powers is in fact a facade that is aimed at concealing his political and leadership weaknesses, as well as demonstrating his paranoia about the roots of the problems among the Muslims of the Middle East.

In raging against the US and Britain in his speech Khamenei is deliberately acting as a political player to distance himself from the behind the scene deals that his regime officials are making with world powers, with the help of the Russians as their mediators.

Islamic State is undoubtedly a threat to the peace and security of the Middle Eastern nations as well as the West, as we have watched their barbaric acts with horror on our TV screens.

However, by claiming that “the ISIS has been set up to confront the Islamic republic,” Khamenei – who incidentally refers to himself as the Caliph of Shia Muslims – wants us to forget that a similar type of extremist ideology in the name of Islam has for long actually been practiced by the very regime that he leads in Iran.

Furthermore, it is a well-known fact among Iran’s political forces that Khamenei owes his leadership status more to behind the scene power broking tactics by former president Rafsanjani than anything else, as his credentials as a cleric have never been accepted by Iran’s religious establishment, a complex that he has long concealed by advocating his bankrupted “political Islam”.

Since ascending to power and turning into an absolute religious leader and skilled political player, Khamenei has managed to dominate the political scene of Iran by empowering the Revolutionary Guard, the Basij militias and the security and intelligence organs of the regime around his “anti-American-Israeli” paranoia.

In reality, as world powers begin a new round of negotiations with the Islamic republic over the nuclear issue, they are effectively trying to reach a deal with another fundamentalist “Islamic State” that is ruling Iran with Khamenei at its Caliph in the name of the medieval system of Velayat-e Faqhi, or the Islamic government.

The irony remains however that Western powers are at the same time mulling over whether to involve the military forces of this dictatorship in Iran to help them overthrow the barbarism of the ISIS in its neighboring country in an act of appeasement to Khamenei and his associates in the Revolutionary Guard.

You cannot ask one dictator to join your forces to fight against another dictator in defence of freedom and humanity.

DAMASCUS: ‘ SYRIAN REGIME AIR-RAIDS KILL MANY INCLUDING CIVILIANS ‘

#AceWorldNews – SYRIA – October 17- At least 15 civilians, including three minors, were killed in Syrian regime air raids on a rebel-held town near the capital on Friday, a monitoring group said.

“At least 15 civilians, including three aged under 18, were killed in eight raids by Syrian military planes on several districts of the town of Douma,” 13 kilometres (eight miles) north-east of Damascus, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

On Thursday, regime air strikes killed 20 people, including two children and two women, in Jisrin to the east of Damascus, and two others in nearby Saqba, according to the Observatory.

Closing in on Douma, a town of 200,000 residents, the army has seized control of Mleiha and Adra and has set its sights on Jobar and Ain Tarma, all towns to the east of the capital.

‘ ISLAMIC STATE MILITANTS TRAIN IRAQI PILOTS IN SYRIA ‘

#AceNewsServices – SYRIA – October 17 – Islamic State militants in Syria are training Iraqi pilots who joined the group to fly in three captured fighter jets, Reuters reported citing witnesses.

ISIS Train Iraqi Pilots to Capture Jets

ISIS Train Iraqi Pilots to Capture Jets

“They have trainers, Iraqi officers who were pilots before for [former Iraqi President] Saddam Hussein,” said Rami Abdulrahman, who runs the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR). “People saw the flights. They went up many times from the airport.”

The “same resources” have told SOHR activists that the Islamist fighters seized three aircrafts after taking control over the military airports in Aleppo and al Raqqa provinces.

The group has reportedly been flying the planes over a captured Syrian al-Jarrah military airbase in the northern Aleppo province, which was among the areas in Syria seized by islamists this year.

“The training courses are given in the airbase of al-Jarrah known by Kshish airbase too. This airbase located in the eastern countryside of Aleppo and considered the most important camp for IS in Syria,”SOHR said.

The jets “flying at a low altitude over the area”, which witnesses said defined as MiG 21 or MiG 23 models, were captured from the Syrian military. It was not clear whether or not they were equipped with weaponry.

“It is worth mentioning that it is not the first time that the people witness an aircraft flying at a low altitude after taking off from al-Jarrah airbase,” SOHR said.

‘ Leader of Abdullah Azzam Brigades Al-Qaeda Group Calls on Sunnis to Attack Hezbollah ‘

#AceNewsServices – October 15 – The leader of the Abdullah Azzam Brigades (AAB), an al Qaeda-linked group, has called on Sunnis in Lebanon to attack Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed terrorist organization.

Abdullah Azzam Brigades leader calls on Lebanese people to attack Hezbollah

Abdullah Azzam Brigades leader calls on Lebanese people to attack Hezbollah

Sirajeddine Zurayqat, who has been reportedly named the new emir of the AAB, called for the anti-Hezbollah attacks in a series of posts on his official Twitter feed on Oct. 13. The tweets have also been collected into a single statement from the AAB leader.

Zurayqat addresses “our youth in Tripoli,” saying they should strike Hezbollah fighters and positions, not the Lebanese Army. Hezbollah is the “puppet master” behind the Army and Lebanon’s security services, Zurayqat writes, and it is Hezbollah that has turned the government against the nation’s Sunnis.

“Therefore, strike the puppet master and do not get preoccupied with the tools. If the head is broken, the hands become paralyzed,” Zurayqat argues in a tweet translated by The Daily Star. “You have [Hezbollah’s] centers, checkpoints, supply lines, leaders and members across Lebanon.

Kill them and avenge the children of Lebanon and Syria.”

The AAB leader also argues that Hezbollah has been Israel’s “loyal guard” since 1996. He attempts to recast the 2006 war between Hezbollah and Israel as “nothing more than breaking the rules of engagement.”

By failing to continue with the war, Zurayqat says, Hezbollah has provided international legitimacy for Israel’s existence.

Zurayqat’s words are intended to undermine public perceptions of Hezbollah as an effective anti-Israeli fighting force. Ironically, Iran and other allied groups have done more to fight Israel than the AAB or any other al Qaeda-backed group.

But the AAB and other al Qaeda-allied groups have claimed responsibility for smaller attacks on Israel, including during the conflict this past summer.

Zurayqat’s call to fight Hezbollah is consistent with the anti-Iranian propaganda campaign being waged by the Al Nusrah Front, al Qaeda’s official branch in Syria.

Al Nusrah operates in Lebanon and has called upon Sunnis in the country to rise up against the Lebanese government, Hezbollah and their Iranian-backers.

Both Al Nusrah and the Islamic State, a former branch of al Qaeda, have fought against Lebanese forces and Hezbollah. There are evenpersistent reports indicating that Al Nusrah and the Islamic State have conducted joint operations in Lebanon despite their bitter rivalry in Syria.

In August, Al Nusrah and the Islamic State took a number of Lebanese servicemen hostage, killing several of them after the negotiations to free them stalled. The Al Nusrah Front has blamed Hezbollah and Iran for the failure to reach a deal that would free the captives.

And Al Nusrah has used its hostages in videos that are intended to sway public opinion in Lebanon against the government and Hezbollah.

In September, Zurayqat addressed the Lebanese hostages in an audio recording that was released online. He blamed the men for joining the Lebanese Army, saying “if you fight the Sunnis there is nothing between you and us except the sword.”

According to Al Akhbar, Zurayqat threatened, “The mujahideen took Iraq in days, and in days they can be in the center of Beirut too.”

The AAB has conducted attacks against Iranian interests in Lebanon. In November 2013, the group claimed credit for twin suicide attacks outside of the Iranian embassy in Beirut.

Nearly two dozen people, including an Iranian cultural attache, were killed and more than 150 others were wounded in the blasts.

‘ US-led Coalition Intensify Air-Strikes in Past Two Days As PKK Risk Igniting Three Decade Conflict ‘

#AceNewsServices – October 15 – American-led forces have sharply intensified air strikes in the past two days against Islamic State fighters threatening Kurds on Syria’s Turkish border after the jihadists’ advance began to destabilize Turkey.

U.S.-led air strikes intensify as Syria conflict destabilizes TurkeyScreenshot from 2014-10-15 12:33:57

The coalition had conducted 21 attacks on the militants near the Syrian Kurdish town of Kobani over Monday and Tuesday and appeared to have slowed Islamic State advances there, the U.S. military said, but cautioned the situation remained fluid.

U.S. President Barack Obama voiced deep concern on Tuesday about the situation in Kobani as well as in Iraq’s Anbar province, which U.S. troops fought to secure during the Iraq war and is now at risk of being seized by Islamic State militants.

“Coalition air strikes will continue in both of these areas,” Obama told military leaders from coalition partners including Turkey, Arab states and Western allies during a meeting outside Washington.

The fight against Islamic State will be among the items on the agenda when Obama holds a video conference on Wednesday with British, French, German and Italian leaders, the White House said.

War on the militants in Syria is threatening to unravel a delicate peace in neighboring Turkey where Kurds are furious with Ankara over its refusal to help protect their kin in Syria.

The plight of the Syrian Kurds in Kobani provoked riots among Turkey’s 15 million Kurds last week in which at least 35 people were killed.

Turkish war-planes were reported to have attacked Kurdish rebel targets in southeast Turkey after the army said it had been attacked by the banned PKK Kurdish militant group, risking reigniting a three-decade conflict that killed 40,000 people before a ceasefire was declared two years ago.

‘ Syrian Armed forces Raided Terrorist Hubs in Homs ‘

#AceWorldNews – SYRIA (HOMS) – October 15 – Syrian Armed Forces raided several terrorist hubs in Quneitra and Homs provinces on Wednesday, and struck a heavy blow at militant troops (FNA) reported.

The army soldiers carried out a series of operations in al-Hamidyia, Mas’hara, Um Batina, al-Ajraf and al-Douha in Quneitra, and claimed the lives of huge numbers of the insurgents.

Also, the rebels’ infiltration attempt into al-Rastan, al-Sultaniya, Um al-Reesh and Um Sahrij areas in Homs was frustrated by the Syrian Army.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.

The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.

As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.

‘ Middle East is Ruled by Militias That Have Risen Since Arab Spring ‘

#AceNewsServices (Opinion) – October 14 – Embattled governments in Iraq and Syria have come to rely on Shiite militias as their armies have crumbled in the face of mostly Sunni insurgents and rebels.

In Libya, various armed groups loosely allied with two rival governments have fought over bullet-riddled airports.

Shiite rebels in Yemen have swept down from the north, capturing the capital and, on Tuesday, a key port city.

The chaos unleashed by the Arab Spring has led to the rise of powerful militias – including many Islamic extremist groups – across a Middle East where many central governments have been exposed as weak.

Some of the groups are allied with the governments, while others are fighting to topple them.

Some – like the Kurdish peshmerga in northern Iraq – are seen as vital allies for the West.

All could prove to be major obstacles to peace or stability in the region.

ISIS: ‘ Publicize By Turning The Knife And Releasing New Messages of Emotional Blame ‘

#AceNewsServices – October 14 – The extremists in Syria and Iraq who’ve publicized their gruesome decapitations of four American and British hostages released new messages Sunday from one of the men they murdered as well as from another hostage who has said he may soon suffer the same fate.

' ISIS Twists the Emotional Knife with New Messages '

‘ ISIS Twists the Emotional Knife with New Messages ‘

Both releases show that in the face of a daily dose of western military air power the Islamic State, also called ISIS and ISIL, is determined to pressure the Obama administration over the fate of a dozen or fewer remaining western hostages with emotional twists of the knife for the families of both the living and dead.

' ISIS Preparing to Capture Baghdad Airport '

To Mom, I do not have much time and will probably not get this opportunity again, so I would like to get straight to the point. Your recent public video of pleading to the Caliphate not to kill me has been received loud and clear by them.

However, this in itself is not enough to save me,” began a purported message from American journalist Steven Sotloff, apparently composed before he was beheaded by a masked British killer in a video posted online on Sept. 2.

“You, the caliph, can grant amnesty. I ask you please to release my child,” Shirley Sotloff had said in an Aug. 27 video addressing ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, which he ignored.

DABIQ Magazine

DABIQ Magazine

The full text of Steven Sotloff’s purported letter to his mother was published by ISIS in its on-line magazine Dabiq, released on Sunday.

A Sotloff family representative didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on the “letter” published by ISIS or its authenticity.

The parents of another American hostage who ISIS has said may be executed next, former Army Ranger Abdul-Rahman Kassig, made pleas to al-Baghdadi to spare their son in tweets late last week as well as during a prayer vigil Friday at the Islamic Society of North America in Indianapolis. Paula and Ed Kassig said their son, formerly known as Peter, had converted to Islam while in captivity.

The cruelly agonizing letter by Sotloff — very likely written not by him but by his murderers, officials said — insisted that his fate would be determined by President Obama’s “next judgement,” and said his mother “can still save my life” by not letting the American leader “get away with murder again.”

The solution was simple, Sotloff’s letter argued: “Leave them [ISIS] to fight their own war.”

Meanwhile, ISIS released the latest in a series of “programs” by another hostage, British freelance journalist John Cantlie, who officials believe has been forced by his captors to blame the U.K. government for the video beheadings of his former cellmates.

UNITED STATES: ‘ TOP MILITARY COMMANDER NO FLY-ZONE OVER DAMASCUS MAY BE PART OF CAMPAIGN ‘

#AceNewsServices – UNITED STATES – October 13 – Even though Islamic State militants in Syria have no aircraft to speak of, the US’s top military commander says establishing a no-fly zone may be part of the campaign.

Such a move is what US allies, including Turkey, have been pressing for.

The possible establishment of a no-fly zone over northern Syria was hinted at by Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey.

“Do I anticipate that there could be circumstances in the future where that would be part of the campaign? Yeah,” he told ABC’s This Week program.

The general added that in response to the bombing campaign the IS are learning to blend in with the population and hide from the coalition attacks.

“An enemy adapts and they’ll be harder to target. Yeah, they know how to maneuver and how to use populations and concealment,” he said.

Earlier, US Secretary of Defence Chuck Hagel indicated that there was a possibility for a no-fly zone in Syria, as per Ankara’s request.

“We have discussed all these possibilities and will continue to talk about what the Turks believe they will require,” The New York Times reported him as saying.

WASHINGTON: ‘ America Intelligence Officials Lay Blame for Failed Military Strikes Against Jihadists at Doors of News Reporters ‘

#AceWorldNews – WASHINGTON – October 11 – American intelligence officials are trying to blame news reports for failed military attacks against shadowy jihadist groups, arguing that the articles alerted a new terror group to impending air strikes.

Last month, the United States fired 46 cruise missiles at eight locations in northern Syria to target the Khorasan group’s training camps, a munitions centre and other sites.

However, the attacks only killed one or two key militants, US officials told the Associated Press.

The strikes near a compound in Aleppo did not cripple the group because members were able to scatter – something they blamed on news reports highlighting US missile plans.

This led to the escape of a French-born jihadi with military skills that officials say they were interested in targeting.

SEA: ‘ Rise of the Child Soldiers of Pakistan ‘

#AceNewsServices – PAKISTAN – October 11 – The phenomenon of “child soldiers” is not new to this globe. From the far western shores of Americas, to Africa and Asia, the world continues to witness the rise of soldiers that are mere children

' Child Soldiers of Pakistan '

‘ Child Soldiers of Pakistan ‘

The world is stunned beyond limits to see that humanity has fallen to this level in the exploitation of young innocent children as child recruits for fundamentalist agendas.

The use of child soldiers has spread to almost all the global armed conflict. Though an exact number is impossible to define, thousands of child soldiers are illegally serving in armed conflict around the world.

According to Do Something Org, many countries are allegedly reported on use of under-age soldiers, these include Afghanistan, Colombia, India, Iraq, Israel, Libya, Mali, Pakistan, Thailand, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, and more.

I am sure many are already geared up with the anti-Pakistani stereotypes that deem that whole of Pakistan is a terrorist country and on this list,  I get this hatred towards Pakistan is a global trend but not many of you know the dynamics of child militia here. And am taking this opportunity to shed some light on various important areas.

Pakistan|Trending Local Child Soldiers issue

The growing phenomenon of child militants in Pakistan is a horrific reality, one mirrored in various conflicts throughout history. Young innocent children are targeted because they can be easily brain washed by militant groups.

The cycle of poverty, large family size and economic hardships are factors that leave vulnerable parents little choice but to send children in local madrassas as they are free of cost.   The constitution Article 25-A says the State shall provide free and compulsory education to children between ages of 5 to 16. However that’s not being followed as millions of children are out of school and our literary rate is appalling low at 48%.

"Madrasa" is the Arabic word for any type of educational institution, whether secular or religious.

“Madrasa” is the Arabic word for any type of educational institution, whether secular or religious.

Most people have no choice but to send their children to religious schools or madrassas as. Moreover, there are huge discrepancies because education in Pakistan is heavily influenced by religion and in recent times Wahabi agendas.

The main source of funding for these madrasa groups is coming from Saudi Arabia. In fact, this whole phenomenon that we are confronting, which Al Qaeda is a part of, is very closely associated with Saudi Arabia’s financial and religious projects for the Muslim world as a whole. Its in greater interests to keep Pakistani children stuck into poverty cycles as they serve a greater agenda, shame on Pakistani government for colluding against its own.

Local madrassas cater Pakistani children as well as international students who avail the lucrative scholarship fundings  from Persian Gulf and Saudi Arabia.

However coming back to Pakistan, the different militant groups including TTP, LeT and so on have been able to harness the young Pakistani children in scores through enticing tactics.

Local Militant Recruitment Mechanism

The militant have sinister agendas however on the forefront they are able to cajole and manipulate young children by reminding them the sufferings of the Muslim world and that they have to play a role in eradication of misery; through this jihad.

"Madrasa" is the Arabic word for any type of educational institution, whether secular or religious.

“Madrasa” is the Arabic word for any type of educational institution, whether secular or religious.

Upon meeting some under-age boy militants in Swat, I found out that for years they have attended the madrassas whose lecturers and mentors taught them things like ” The Pakistan Army is the ally of the Western capitalist world; they the  imperialists are all the enemies of Islam. The fight against them is justified; they are apostates, the friends of the infidels.”

The second message drummed into them is one which the world is facing today. The increasing intolerance towards Muslims and followers of faith Islam within their own regions and in the western world. Sadly this is capitalized upon very well by the militant groups. The young recruits are taught that they have to stand up against the helplessness of Muslim women, daughters and sisters that are getting dishonored by non-Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine etc.

They also watch videos purportedly showing the killing of Muslims by non-Muslims in Afghanistan and the Middle East. Instructors tell them that a war is being waged against Islam.

' Child Soldiers Recruited by Saudi Arabia as Terrorists as young as five '

‘ Child Soldiers Recruited by Saudi Arabia as Terrorists as young as five ‘

That the western world is at war with Islam has given a trump card to Pakistan’s militants for this sort of radical enticement of vulnerable children.

These main themes in lectures are taught to in both the senior recruits camps (ages 16 and older) and junior ones (ages 7 to 15), all are centered on vengeance and the need to do something for the wronged Muslims. The children are completely isolated from the normal outside world.

The young would-be suicide bombers are also persuaded by the promise of Paradise. This is, I repeat a huge blasphemy against the real teachings for if have to view from Islamic point of view; suicide is strictly forbidden along with the killing of innocent persons. Allah, God is the author of life that has granted us the gift of life and we mere humans don’t have the authority to take it.

This using of innocent children by militancy has to stop now. But. The inability of the Pakistan army to meet internal security challenges effectively is a particularly worrying factor. Three generations of Pakistani children are suffering due to the impact of this futile jihadi indoctrination.

It is time to seriously put an end to this madness, before it consumes us within the dark abysses of hatred and destruction.I am so exhausted to waking up in the mornings with the first thought in mind,What the hell happened Pakistan? And then trying to fix it some how in my way.

Though, we can’t bring back the already dead Pakistani children militants and can hardly ease the misery of the grieving parents, it is time for Pakistan to asses the complex root causes behind this phenomenon and design solutions for protection of children from becoming part of militancy.

14:38 GMT:

It seems as there is further trouble ahead along the Turkish-Syrian border near the city of Kobani, with Kurdish forces facing an uphill battle to keep Islamic State militants at bay. RT’s Irina Galushko says that she can hear military sirens and that they are ready to fire tear gas, presumably at the Kurds, who are angry at Turkish forces for not doing more to help stop ISIS.

12:05 GMT:

Meanwhile, RT’s Irina Glushko is nearing the Turkish-Syrian border and the city of Kobani, which is battling to fend off a sizable Islamic State attack.

Political analysts say that the damage between the Kurds and Turkey could be irreparable, if Ankara lets Kobani fall into ISIS hands.

11:29 GMT:

Islamic State have been suffering some losses. Twenty-one militants were killed in Anbar, while a further eight perished in southern Tikrit. US airstrikes in Fallujah managed to destroy an ISIS checkpoint and an armored vehicle. However, Iraqi security forces have said that the militant group has managed to acquire two anti-aircraft systems and have already destroyed two fighter jets.

03:07 GMT:

There are currently no schools operating in the Iraqi-Syrian border town of Zakho. This is because they have all been turned into refugee camps for families trying to escape the Islamic State onslaught. The refugees are in a precarious position, with no assistance at all. They have no blankets to keep them warm and are also starving. There is a stench of urine within the building, while there are mattresses everywhere in the classrooms. The vast majority of refugees have come here from Shangal in Iraq. One family at the school managed to flee Islamic State at 3am, only because they had a car. Their neighbors, who did not have any transport, were left behind.

Good morning…

00:45 GMT:

Islamic State militants have been detected about 3 kilometers away. It gets very cold at night on the Iraqi-Syrian border.

20:26 GMT:

It’s already night time and the sound of the bombs can be heard. Peshmerga fighters used to say that it was too dangerous before to come of the border posts, but when one fighter hears the planes flying overhead, “it’s like music to my ears.”

TURKEY: ‘ Foreign Minister Says Ground Operation Against Islamic State Unrealistic On Our Own ‘

#AceNewsServices – TURKEY – October 09 – Turkey’s foreign minister says it cannot be expected to lead a ground operation against Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria on its own.

Mevlut Cavusoglu also called for the creation of a no-fly zone over its border with Syria after talks in Ankara with new NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg.

Turkey is under intense pressure to do more to help Kurdish forces fighting IS in the strategic Syrian town of Kobane.

Reports say IS has been pushed back towards the outskirts of Kobane.

Earlier monitoring group the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, quoting “reliable sources”, said IS controlled a third of the town and was advancing towards the centre from eastern districts.

IRAQ/SYRIA: ‘ Islamic State Fire Bullets Made in America ‘

#AceNewsServices – October 08 – An analysis of cartridges used by Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria shows that their newest ammunition is of American origin. China and the Soviet Union were identified as the biggest sources of munitions, but with bullets made 25 years ago.

The Conflict Armament Research (CAR) group analysed the origin of some 1,700 small-calibre cartridges collected from areas in Syria and Iran where ISIS is operating.

The ammunitions were collected in two locations in northern Syria (Gatash and Avdoké) in July and in two locations in northern Iraq (the Sinjar Mountains and a location between Al Kuweyr and Hawerah) in August.

In both Syria and Iraq, the CAR team closely cooperated with Kurdish Peshmerga self-defence forces, which allowed them to collect material from former Islamic State positions.

Altogether, CAR documented ammunition manufactured in 21 countries, with dates of production ranging from 1945 to 2014.

Most of the ammunition was produced either in the1970’s and 80’s, or in the 2000’s, most commonly manufactured in China, Serbia, Soviet Union/Russia and the US.

Most of the ammunition recovered in Syria is “predominantly of Chinese and Soviet manufacture,” and dates back to the 1970s and 80s. Cartridges collected in Iraq, by comparison, are mainly US-manufactured 5.56 x 45 mm cartridges used in US-supplied M16 and M4 assault rifles. At the time of the US-led occupation of Iraq , the country’s defense and security forces were armed with these weapons.

Nearly 20 percent of all cartridges examined were made in the US during the US occupation, when Washington was boosting Baghdad’s military capabilities following the ouster of Saddam Hussein. For example, cartridges manufactured at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri, were collected from ISIS positions in northern Iraq. The Lake City Army Ammunition Plant is a US government-owned facility operated by Alliant Techsystems (ATK).

“IS forces appear to have acquired a large part of their current arsenal from stocks seized from, or abandoned by, Iraqi defence and security forces,” the report said.

The Islamic State groups in Iraq and Syria are also using Iranian-made ammunition, dated from 2006 to 2013. As the UN Security Council in 2006 prohibited Tehran from exporting ammunition, this discovery could be regarded as a violation of UN Resolution 1737.

The producers of munitions used by the Islamic State are:

The munitions produced in Russia consist of two major types. There is 7.62 x 54R mm ammunition, which is marketed by US-based Sporting Supplies International under the brand name WOLF. These ammunitions produced in Russia used to be widely distributed by the US government to allied states in the region.

There have also been registered standard Russian-made cartridges produced very recently, which could have been obtained by militants from captured Syrian Army military depots.

For example, the Russian-made 7.62 x 54R mm rimmed cartridges employed in PKM-pattern general-purpose machine guns were collected from IS positions and manufactured at the LVE Novosibirsk Cartridge Plant in 2012 and 2013.

Meanwhile, 7.62 x 39 mm ammunition used in Kalashnikov-pattern assault rifles, a type of ammunition found frequently across the Middle East region, accounted for only 5 percent of the cartridges manufactured after 2010.

SYRIA: ‘ Franciscan Priest and 20 Christians Kidnapped by Al-Qaeda Near Turkish Border ‘

#AceNewsServices – SYRIA – October 08 – A Franciscan priest and 20 other Christians have been kidnapped by Al-Qaeda-linked militants in a Syrian village near the border with Turkey, the Franciscan mission to the Holy Land said Tuesday.

The Custody of the Holy Land said it was not able to say where Fr Hanna and his parishioners were now

“On the night of Oct. 5, Father Hanna Jallouf of the Custody of the Holy Land, parish priest at Qunyeh, Syria, was taken by some brigades linked to the Nusra Front,” AFP quoted a statement from the Custody of the Holy Land as saying.

Following their capture, an unspecified number of Franciscan nuns had taken refuge with the villagers, the statement said.

Catholic news agency Fides, quoting Bishop Georges Abou Khazen, the Apostolic Vicar of Aleppo in Syria, said around 20 Christians were taken along with the priest, Reuters reported.

“Among the kidnapped are young people, both boys and girls,” he was quoted as saying.

Qunyeh is a village of several 100 people in the Syrian province of Idlib and lies some 8 kilometers from the Turkish border.

Franciscan official Father Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Custody of the Holy Land, confirmed the kidnapping of the 62-year-old priest and 20 villagers to AFP.

“They are accusing them of being collaborators” with the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Pizzaballa told AFP in Jerusalem, expressing deep concern over the fate of the priest, a Syrian who has worked in Qunyeh for 12 years after a posting in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

“We don’t know what to do.

We don’t know with whom to talk, we’re totally unable to get in touch with anyone,” added Pizzaballa, the guardian of the Catholic Church’s sites in the Holy Land.

AFP quoted a source linked to the Franciscan Order in Aleppo as saying that Nusra Front rebels had forced their way into the convent and “looted everything.”

The source said Nusra Front rebels were “angry with Father Hanna because he refused to give them some of the olives harvested from trees on the convent’s land.”
