#AceNewsServices – JERUSALEM – October 25 – On Wednesday night, in a crowded funeral parlour in Jerusalem, Shmuel Elimelech Braun stood in front of the small, white shroud-covered body of his three-month old daughter, Chaya Zissel, killed earlier that day in a terror attack.
Three-month-old baby girl laid to rest after terror attack on light rail train in capital.
“Zissila, you were pure,” the young father said in a tear-choked voice.
Earlier on Wednesday, he and his wife, Chana, had taken their only child to see the Western Wall for the first time.
“In the last hour, you were by the Kotel. You woke up. We schmoozed with each other,” said Braun as he recounted those last moments with the daughter he cherished.
“You looked at me and smiled,” Braun said. “I told you, this is the Kotel, this is Har Habayit [Temple Mount].”
Braun spoke with his infant daughter about the cherubs that had been on the Ark of the Covenant when the Temple existed thousands of years ago.
He described how the angels’ faces were like that of a pure child.
The family returned home on the light rail. Just after they stepped off the train, a young Arab man from east Jerusalem, Abdel Rahman al-Shalodi, drove his car into the group of people standing by the rails. Police have charged that he did so deliberately and that the incident is a terrorist attack.
Halperin said that his granddaughter flew out of her carriage and into the air some 10 to 20 meters before landing on the sidewalk, wounding her head.
Doctors were unable to save her life, Halperin said.
His wife, he said, had left Israel earlier that day, while Chaya Zissel was still alive.

#AceWorldNews – UNITED STATES (Washington) – September 11 – By expanding military pressure on the Islamic State, President Obama is now running risks he had long hoped to avoid when he withdrew U.S. forces from Iraq.
His strategy to counter the militant Islamic faction has been marked by a core principle that military action should not race ahead of politics and diplomacy. It has led to a more incremental approach criticized by some as overly cautious while supporters describe it as methodical and systematic.
The White House believes that progress in putting together an international coalition to battle the insurgents and building an inclusive Iraqi government has allowed the United States now to ratchet up military pressure on the militants.
With that diplomacy now bearing fruit, Obama said, “I can announce that America will lead a broad coalition to roll back this terrorist threat.”
#AceWorldNews – TEHRAN – March 31 – Expressing regret over issuing a resolution against Iran at the UN Human Rights Council, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman said approval of the resolution on Iran is based on dual standards and has political aims.

She stressed that Islamic Republic of Iran considers this approach non-constructive.
Afkham added that issuing such resolutions is ignoring Iranˈs positive steps in fulfilling its obligations and its constructive cooperation with international bodies and the improving trend of human rights in Iran.
Afkham continued that the resolution is following political interests and lacks legitimacy, adding that it is regretful that sponsors of the resolution are silent and indifferent about violation of human-rights of Palestinian people, and fate of innocent people, who are being taken hostage by terrorist groups and citizens who lose their lives on pretext of fight against terrorism.

#AceWorldNews The US had 875,000 people in its terrorist watch-list system as of December 2012. Those secretly blacklisted have no real path to challenge their status, states a new report, thus indefinitely restricting those listed from travel or simply getting a job.
Hundreds of thousands of Americans and foreigners languish in the watch-list system, considered “known or suspected terrorists” based on secret rules and evidence that are basically impenetrable should the average suspect attempt to contest them, says a new report by the ACLU that highlights these challenges.
The US terrorist watch list system, which is shared with state and local law enforcement agencies, can stifle overseas travel, the ability to obtain a US visa or entry into the US, and can lead to invasive screenings or detentions by authorities at airports and the like.
This is not to mention the social pressure of being considered a terror suspect by the US, which can lead to a host of problems ranging from separation from family to ostracization from a community or place of employment, for example.
Despite the endless effects that can stem from being placed in the watch-list system, the US has not taken proper care to avoid the basic fairness principle of innocent until proven guilty, according to the ACLU.
