#AceWorldNews says that according to latest reports ten people were killed and 23 injured when a building collapsed in South Korea’s south-eastern city of Gyeongju,
Reuters quoted emergency officials as saying.
During the collapse the building was hosting a welcoming party for new university students, with a total of 560 students in attendance at the auditorium of the golf resort.
Heavy snow on top of the roof is cited as the cause for the collapse, according to fire department officials. Nine of the dead were students.
Dozens of others were trapped inside, but all of the victims were successfully rescued several hours later.
