‘ NIGERIAN AIR-FORCE HELICOPTER BURSTS INTO FLAMES AND CRASHES ‘

#AceWorldNews – NIGERIA – Nov.14 – A Nigerian Air Force helicopter burst into flames mid-air and crashed near a university in Nigeria’s north-east, witnesses said on Friday.

The crash, which is the second to down a military chopper in a week, happened late Thursday in the city of Yola, initially sparking fears that Boko Haram insurgency was mounting an attack, AFP said.

The aircraft was thought to be carrying weapons to troops fighting militants.

There was no immediate information on casualties.

The explosions caused panic among students.

South Korea : “10 People Killed and 23 Injured following collapse of `University Building’ during Welcoming Party”

#AceWorldNews says that according to latest reports ten people were killed and 23 injured when a building collapsed in South Korea’s south-eastern city of Gyeongju,

Reuters quoted emergency officials as saying.

During the collapse the building was hosting a welcoming party for new university students, with a total of 560 students in attendance at the auditorium of the golf resort.

Heavy snow on top of the roof is cited as the cause for the collapse, according to fire department officials. Nine of the dead were students.

Dozens of others were trapped inside, but all of the victims were successfully rescued several hours later.
