(TEHRAN) Nuclear Deal Report: Iran has begun the process of producing enriched uranium metal, it has told the global nuclear watchdog as U.S. says this will possibly prevent another meeting in Vienna #AceNewsDesk report

#AceNewsReport – July.08: But uranium metal could also be used to make the core of a nuclear bomb: European powers said Iran’s move breached a nuclear deal and threatened talks to revive it. The US called it an “unfortunate step backwards”

TEHRAN: European powers warn Iran over enriched uranium metal production they informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that the process was to develop fuel for a research reactor according Arab News sources reports

European countries expressed “grave concern” about Iran’s latest move

The 2015 deal, known formally as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saw Iran agree to restrictions its nuclear programme that were designed to minimise the risk of it developing a nuclear weapon.

In return, six world powers – China, France, Germany, Russia, the US and the UK – agreed to lift economic sanctions that were in place.Iran’s nuclear programme: What’s been happening at its key nuclear sites?

Former US President Donald Trump pulled the US out of the deal in 2018 and reinstated sanctions on Iran. Iran retaliated by gradually breaching its commitments under the accord.

Mr Trump’s successor, Joe Biden, has said he will rejoin the deal and lift sanctions if Iran returns to full compliance, but Iran wants him to make the first move.

Representatives of Iran and the five world powers still party to the deal have been attempting to agree a compromise at talks in Vienna, with US envoys participating indirectly.

The talks began in April and the latest round was adjourned on 20 June, with no date set for the next meeting.

In a statement on Tuesday, the IAEA said: “Today, Iran informed the agency that UO2 [uranium dioxide] enriched up to 20% U-235 would be shipped to the R&D [research and development] laboratory at the Fuel Fabrication Plant in Esfahan, where it would be converted to UF4 [uranium tetrafluoride] and then to uranium metal enriched to 20% U-235, before using it to manufacture the fuel.”

The British, French and German foreign ministers said that they had “grave concerns” about Iran’s decision.

ReutersTalks in Vienna aimed at reviving the nuclear deal talks were adjourned on 20 June

“Iran has no credible civilian need for uranium metal R&D and production, which are a key step in the development of a nuclear weapon,” the ministers said in a joint statement.

“With its latest steps, Iran is threatening a successful outcome to the Vienna talks despite the progress achieved in six rounds of negotiations.”

The statement also urged Iran to return to the talks in the Austrian capital.

US state department spokesperson Ned Price said that although they were not setting a deadline for the talks, “as time proceeds Iran’s nuclear advances will have a bearing on our view of returning to the JCPOA”.

(BERLIN) JUST IN: German police on Wednesday raided the living quarters of two possible accomplices of the jihadists who went on a deadly shooting rampage in Vienna last November, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office said #AceNewsDesk report

#AceNewsReport – July.07: Police searched the homes of Kosovan national Blinor S. and German Drilon G., who are suspected of failing to report planned offences, prosecutors said.

#AceDailyNews says that on Wednesday german police raided homes of suspected accomplices to Vienna attacker as Austria is still investigating the 21 people as possible accomplices of the terrorist who went on a deadly shooting rampage in Vienna but much remains unknown, including how he got to the area of the attack, officials said on Friday.

: July.07, 20217:51AM: & Previous: 13 November ,2020: 03:51 PM GST: Al Arabiya:

The 20-year-old Vienna native armed with an assault rifle, handgun and machete killed four people in a part of the city center with many bars that also houses Vienna’s main synagogue, which was closed at the time. He was shot dead by police.

“No one else was immediately involved in carrying out this crime on November 2. What we cannot yet say definitively is to what extent accomplices provided support before the act,” the police official leading the investigation, Michael Lohnegger, told a news conference.

Vienna prosecutors’ office spokeswoman Nina Bussek said the number of people remanded in custody over the attack was unchanged at 10, and 21 people in total were under investigation, aged 16-28. As yet unknown additional accomplices are still being looked for.

Austria has admitted to an intelligence failure before the attack since it mishandled information that the attacker tried to buy ammunition in Slovakia in July, and that he met known foreign extremists that month – two from Germany who were under surveillance and two from Switzerland who have been arrested.

It remains unclear how the attacker carrying weapons, ammunition and a dummy explosives belt traveled to the city center more than 10 days ago.

“What we can currently actually rule out here is that the perpetrator arrived at the crime scene by public transport,” Lohnegger said, adding that other forms of transport including taxis were still being worked on.

“Whether it is also possible that he walked to the scene of the crime, I cannot say. That means I also cannot rule it out.”

(VIENNA) Nuclear Deal Report: President Hassan Rouhani said on Sunday that Iran would move on with the talks until a final agreement is reached #AceNewsDesk report

Iran continues Vienna talks until final agreement: President
Rouhani Speech Report

Tehran, May 23, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani said on Sunday that Iran would move on with the talks in Vienna until a final agreement is reached, noting that US maximum pressure proved to be ineffective given Iran’s production growth in different industrial sectors.

May: 23, 2021

Emphasizing the triumph of the Iranian nation in the economic war, the President said that figures suggesting production growth in different industrial sectors present the best proof that the US maximum pressure policy has been ineffective.

This has caused Americans, according to Rouhani, to admit the failure of the policy and explicitly declare their readiness to lift sanctions in the ongoing talks in Vienna.

Iran will continue the talks until a final agreement, the President asserted.

He further said that the auto industry that has managed to resist and increase its production in the harshest situation can experience better environment if sanctions are removed, adding that the administration support the industry and improve its competitive capacity.

(VIENNA) JCPOA REPORT: April 17, 2021 (Xinhua via COMTEX) — A Chinese envoy to U.N on Saturday urged all parties to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, to immediately start negotiating the specific formula of sanction-lifting #AceNewsDesk report

#AceNewsReport – Apr.23: The new strategic alliance between Iran and China represents a serious threat to the West, particularly at a time where America is bereft of leadership. The Biden Administration is a global laughingstock, which has offered Iran and China a clear path to expanding their influence.

JCPOA Meeting: Chinese envoy at nuke talks urges all parties to immediately lift sanctions on Iran: ‘The red-green axis has been consistently undermining Western democracies for years. Recently, Iran and China signed a 25-year strategic deal which virtually neutralizes American pressure on Iran to curtail its efforts toward a nuclear bomb. The deal heightens Iran’s ambitions for regional hegemony and beyond’

Lifting sanctions on Iran will speed up Iran’s efforts toward a nuclear bomb. Iran has openly admitted to breaching the Obama nuke deal, and Netanyahu provided extensive evidence that the Iran deal was based on lies.

“Chinese envoy urges parties to Iran nuke deal to immediately start negotiating sanction-lifting formula,” Xinhua, April 17, 2021:

Wang Qun, Chinese envoy to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna, made the appeal here after attending a new round of meeting of the JCPOA Joint Commission.

“China has drawn much encouragement that the Joint Commission has, over the two days, come back to its normal track with productive and constructive work,” he said.

“China maintains that all U.S. sanctions should be lifted immediately,” be it sanctions against Iran, or its long-arm jurisdiction measures on third-party entities and individuals, including those on the Chinese, he noted.

China believes that the Joint Commission should continue to focus on the “more substantive work” of sanction-lifting through the two major processes — the nuclear implementation and sanctions-lifting working groups’ work, and the “proximity talks” with the United States, said the envoy.

According to him, China will continue to work with all parties concerned to push the U.S. and Iran to resume negotiations on the implementation of the JCPOA for early and tangible results……

(TEHRAN) JUST IN: Iran named a suspect Saturday in the attack on its Natanz nuclear facility that damaged centrifuges there, saying he had fled the country before the sabotage happened after they enriched uranium to 60% amid talks in Vienna due to continue #AceNewsDesk report

#AceNewsReport – Apr.18: The attack Sunday, suspected to have been carried out by Israel, has inflamed a shadow war between the two nations. Iran has begun enriching a small amount of uranium up to 60% purity — its highest level ever — in response amid talks in Vienna aimed at saving its tattered nuclear deal with world powers:

Iran names suspect in Natanz nuclear site attack, says he fled country: ‘State television named the suspect as 43-year-old Reza Karimi. It showed a passport-style photograph of a man it identified as Karimi, saying he was born in the nearby city of Kashan, Iran’

April 17, 2021 12:37: Arab News Sources:

The report did not elaborate how Karimi would have gotten access to one of the most secure facilities in the Islamic Republic: The report also aired what appeared to be an Interpol “red notice” seeking his arrest.

The arrest notice was not immediately accessible on Interpol’s public-facing database. Interpol, based in Lyon, France, did not immediately respond to a request for comment: The TV report said “necessary actions” are underway to bring him back to Iran through legal channels, without elaborating. The supposed Interpol “red notice” listed his travel history as including Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Ethiopia, Qatar, Turkey, Uganda, Romania and another country that was illegible.
The report also showed centrifuges in a hall, as well as what appeared to be caution tape up at the Natanz facility.

(VIENNA) JCPOA REPORT: After meeting : Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said any US claim to having removed Iran’s sanctions must be verified by Tehran and this means that the ‘Islamic Republic’ should be able to sell its oil under normal conditions and receive its money #AceNewsDesk report

#AceNewsReport – Apr.10: Imam Khamenei’s Instagram account also released a video in which His Eminence reiterated that Tehran is in no hurry for Washington to come back to the nuclear agreement.

Imam Khamenei: Verification of US Sanctions Removal Means Iran Should Be Able to Sell Its Oil: The talks, taking place in Vienna in the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) are chaired by an official appointed by the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell.

Imam Khamenei’s remarks came in a post on his Instagram page on Thursday as an Iranian negotiating team is in the Austrian capital city of Vienna to discuss conditions for the revival of the landmark 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action [JCPOA], with other signatories to the deal: https://t.me/reuters_news_agency/72596
Reuters Wire News, [Apr 9, 2021 at 12:35 PM]

Iran nuclear deal participants to continue talks next week- EU BRUSSELS (Reuters) – Officials from Iran, China, Russia, France, Germany and Britain will continue talks on the return of the United States to the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran next week, after “constructive exchanges” this week, the European Union said on Friday.

Imam Khamenei

“Verification [of US sanctions removal] means [being capable of] selling oil in an official manner, with ease and under normal conditions, and its money be received by Iran,” His Eminence added.

His Eminence added that the signatories of the nuclear agreement failed to abide by their commitments under the deal, noting that the decision by the Iranian government and parliament to rollback Tehran’s nuclear commitments was right.

Imam Khamenei stated that commitment on one side should be reciprocated by commitment on the other side and the US must remove all sanctions if the West wants Iran to return to JCPOA compliance.

His Eminence also noted that Tehran will return to full compliance with the nuclear deal once it verifies sanctions have been really removed by the US.

Imam Khamenei said other signatories to the deal have no right to set conditions for Tehran as long as they have not fulfilled their obligations, emphasizing that this is Iran’s definitive policy from which Tehran will not step back.

The United States began imposing heavy economic sanctions against Iran in 2018 after former US President Donald Trump scrapped the JCPOA, which was signed by Iran and world powers, as a result of which Iran was barred from economic transactions with the rest of the world, including selling its oil and receiving its money.

While the Trump administration described its anti-Iran measures as the “maximum pressure” policy, Tehran slammed the measures as “economic war,” “economic terrorism” and also “medical terrorism,” maintaining that the sanctions have severely harmed Iranians but failed to bring the nation to its knees.

The new US administration of Joe Biden has conceded that the so-called maximum pressure campaign has failed, promising to replace it with a new policy, but it has so far failed to take any practical steps in that direction and has actually followed suit with Trump-era policies toward Iran.

Iran remained fully compliant with the deal for an entire year but as the remaining European parties failed to fulfill their end of the bargain, Tehran began in May 2019 to scale back its JCPOA commitments in several steps under Articles 26 and 36 of the accord covering Tehran’s legal rights.

IRAN: ‘ Lawmakers Chanting “Death to America” Vote to Ban Access to Military sites, documents & scientists as part of Nuclear Deal ‘

#AceBreakingNews – IRAN:June.22: With some lawmakers chanting “Death to the America,” Iran’s parliament voted Sunday to ban access to military sites, documents and scientists as part of a future deal with world powers over its contested nuclear program.

The bill, if approved into law, could complicate the ongoing talks in Vienna between Iran and the six-nation group (#P6+Iran) the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany — as they face a self-imposed June 30 deadline. The talks are focused on reaching a final accord that curbs Iran’s nuclear program in return for the lifting of economic sanctions.

VIENNA: ‘ Iran Fails to Satisfy IAEA of Two Issues Related to Atomic Use of Nuclear Capability ‘

#AceNewsServices – VIENNA – October 09. /TASS/. Iran failed to propose any new practical measures to resolve the disputable issues of its nuclear program at the October 7-8 meeting in Tehran, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said in a statement on Thursday.

“Iran did not propose any new measures during the meetings in Tehran,” the statement reads.

Iran and the IAEA have been unable to agree on two unsettled issues in an effort to allay the UN watchdog’s concerns about the possible military dimensions of the program.

During the talks, the sides discussed the fulfilment of two practical measures agreed in May concerning neutron transport calculations and high explosives detonators, the statement says.

The UN nuclear watchdog and Iran have agreed to continue negotiations on Tehran’s nuclear program, but the date has not been set yet.

“The Agency and Iran will continue discussions on these measures,” the Vienna-based UN agency said.

Western nations suspect Iran of using its nuclear research for developing atomic weapons while Iran insists its nuclear program is intended for peaceful purposes only.

IAEA: ` Iran Commits to Fulfil its Agreement with Six Negotiator’s on Islamic Republic’s Nuclear Program ‘

#AceWorldNews – VIENNA – May 24 – Iran is fulfilling its commitments under last year’s agreement with the six negotiators on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said in a quarterly report distributed among the nuclear watchdog’s member countries on Friday.

The IAEA’s report said that since the start of the deal’s implementation by Iran in January 2014, the country has not produced enriched uranium higher than 5%, and its reserves of highly enriched uranium have dropped 81% to 39 kilograms from 209 kilograms as a result of dilution and conversion.

Iran says it needs nuclear power to generate electricity, but Western powers led by the United States claim Iran’s eventual aim is to create nuclear weapons.

The six international negotiators on Iran’s program – five permanent members of the UN Security Council (Russia, China, France, Britain and the United States) plus Germany – agreed at a meeting in Geneva on November 24, 2013 not to introduce new sanctions against Iran on the part of the United Nations, the European Union and the US.

They also agreed to lift certain restrictions for Iran in some fields.

The deal, under which Iran agreed to stop enrichment of uranium to higher than 5%, entered into force January 20, 2014.

#AceWorldNews – TEHRAN – May 22 – Iran’s president said Thursday an agreement by July on curbing its nuclear program is “very likely” despite a snag in talks last week.

Reaching agreement depends on unspecified countries not be giving a chance to “create problems,” AP quoted Rouhani as saying.

The deadline might also be extended, he said.

Talks in Vienna involving Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany stalled last Friday, denting hopes that negotiators could meet a July 20 target date.
