IRAN: ‘ ALI KAHMENEI SUPPORTS DECISION TO EXTEND TALKS WITH WORLD POWERS ‘

#AceWorldNews – IRAN – Nov.28 – Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei said on Thursday he supported the decision to extend talks with world powers after a missed deadline for a deal.

“For the same reason I was not opposed to the negotiations, I am not opposed to their extension,” AFP quoted Khamenei as saying.

On Monday, Tehran and the six world powers agreed to extend negotiations until June 30, 2015, because the previous talks were inconclusive.

“We will accept a fair and rational agreement,” Khamenei told leaders of the bassiji Islamist militia, adding that Tehran will oppose “any excessive demand.”

‘ US & IRAN GAPS WIDEN OVER NUCLEAR DEAL & DENIAL OVER ISLAMIC STATE COOPERATION ‘

#AceWorldNews – GENEVA – Nov.08 – The top U.S. diplomat described “real gaps” Saturday in waning negotiations to limit Iran’s nuclear-program, but steadfastly denied that any deal struck would also bring a promise of stronger cooperation between Washington and Tehran on fighting Islamic militants AP reported.

Despite the urgency to end years of negotiations by a looming Nov. 24 deadline, Secretary of State John Kerry said that there was no linkage between the nuclear talks and even an indirect U.S.-Iran partnership to combat the Islamic State group that has ravaged much of Iraq and Syria.
