Trump’s ‘Super Intelligence Force’ gives glimpse into AI approach
The group of government leaders each reflect different priorities of the Trump administration after months of mixed messaging on the White House’s AI policy.
Now referring to AI as “super intelligence,” the president announced last weekend he tapped Jay Clayton, who heads the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), to lead the “Super Intelligence Force,” or SIF.
The group is tasked with exploring the benefits and risks of the technology and ensuring America’s lead in the development race.
Clayton will be joined by Pentagon Chief Technology Officer Emil Michael, Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chair Andrew Ferguson and Scott Kupor, the director of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), who will serve as vice chairs.
