Syrian state news agency: Syrian foreign ministry says 11 people in UN chemical weapons convoy have been abducted by “terrorist groups”
….More when I hear it
#AceWorldNews – THE HAGUE- April 04 – The twelfth consignment of chemical weapons was on Friday taken out of Syria, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) reported.
“The OPCW-UN Joint Mission in Syria has confirmed that a 12th consignment of chemicals has been transported to the port of Latakia and removed from the country,” the OPCW said in a statement on its website.
#AceWorldNews says the removal and destruction of the most dangerous agents in Syria’s chemical weapons arsenal may not be completed until the end of June, according to the head of the UN chemicals watchdog. Ahmet Uzumcu said Thursday that the amount of chemicals that have reached a Syrian port so far was “not that high,” Reuters reported.
#AceHealthNews says according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has told manufacturers of antibacterial soaps and body washes to demonstrate that they are both safe and effective within the next year. New evidence is emerging that some of the chemicals used in soaps, toothpaste, dish detergent, and other common household products may pose hazards for human health and the environment. The FDA’s proposed final rule would require manufacturers to demonstrate efficacy and safety or the products could be reformulated or removed from the market.
Fracking Chemicals Linked to Birth Defects, Infertility

A controversial oil and natural gas drilling technique called hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, uses many chemicals that can disrupt the body’s hormones, according to new research accepted for publication in The Endocrine Society‘s journal Endocrinology.Endocrine-disrupting chemicals, or EDCs, are substances that can interfere with the normal functioning of the endocrine system. EDCs can be found in manufactured products as well as certain foods, air, water and soil. Research has linked EDC exposure to infertility, cancer and birth defects.
“More than 700 chemicals are used in the fracking process, and many of them disturb hormone function,” said one of the study’s authors, Susan C. Nagel, PhD, of the University of Missouri School of Medicine. “With fracking on the rise, populations may face greater health risks from increased endocrine-disrupting chemical…
